I think he may have been too young. He would have been 15 or 16 when the first victim died. Serial killers almost always operate in a zone of familiarity (anchor points). I'd imagine that the CT River Valley Killer lived somewhere in that area and is now 71-81 (if they are still alive, because one suspect died in 2005).

This thread makes my head spin. It’s hard to not think he’s capable given his manifesto. But of course he wasn’t the only killer around. Still…a lot of these suggestions seem worth looking at to me.
