This is the only one I think shows her reflection while taking the picture and reaching towards the shower door (I think), I swapped the color line up to make it more visible (upper right):

Great job! My goodness, what an eerie reflection of CM.

Maybe we can resolve this before it is raised. In State vs. Benson (the opinion which spoiled Nurmi's motion), Benson tried to show that a victim did not suffer mental anguish or physical pain because the attack on her was swift, one blow after another in rapid succession rendering victim unconscious. But the court defeated the Benson argument because there was evidence of defensive wounds & attempts to resist. Of course this is also true in our case because Travis bore numerous defensive wounds, at least 9. State vs. Benson also ruled that the court must view facts in the light most favorable to sustaining the jury's verdict, which in our case was aggravator of cruelty found. The court also ruled that there is no bright line rule about the length of time required to establish the victim's suffering. If Nurmi tries to use these issues to make a new motion, it is clear how the Arizona Sup. Ct. will look at such an effort.

To me chasing someone down the hallway while continuing to stab them while they were trying to escape is extremely cruel. jmo

We also know he went through the mental anguish & horror of standing at the basin spurting blood with his attacker behind him plunging a knife or knives in him.

And this was no stranger. It was someone he welcomed into his home and ultimately into his bed. jmo

And the door was open the whole time....not sure she was reaching for it...maybe using her arm to direct him into a new pose?

Not sure i see it....looks kinda like a Getman Shepherd with a stick in its mouth...

does JA look like she's only wearing a bra in that image? with pushed up *advertiser censored*?

I know this must be a really stupid question but..what is that bright light over Travis' bicep? I don't think it could be a ceiling light that low. Did he have a wall light directly above the center of the shower? Is there a pic of the shower with no one in it?

ETA: I just looked at the shower stall and there isn't a light above the shower, it has to be the flash of the camera. I'm no photographer but why is it wayyy to the left of CMJA?

Well the door would have to be closed or we could never see the reflection on the glass.

There is a light directly over the shower stall, you can see it well in the shaving pic:

It doesn't appear to be on until the full face shot, and presumably, until she left.

There is also an overhead light in the hallway, which I presume was on in the earlier shower pics:

ETA: Good work Dana, I like how you're going through the details of the pics. :)

Thanks geevee but ..... that light is on the ceiling, this light is like 1" above the shower tile on the wall or am I seeing things? Is it just a reflection of the ceiling light?

Maybe I'm just tired.

I think the light reflection in that pic is from the hallway light Dana, but
I could be wrong.

Ah, I'm sure you're right, just the light bouncing/reflecting off the wall. There is so much weird stuff to this murder that everything starts seeming suspect LOL

Oh, I know exactly where you're coming from, everytime I think I have a detail nailed down I see something that changes it, and back to the drawing board I go. LOL

Does this pic help or confuse the issue?

Oh, meant to say, in the hallway pic (with Heather in it) you can see a glare from a light near or over the sink (right side), I don't know if I have a pic showing that high up on the sink side, I was looking for it when I came across the accidental ceiling pic.

I'm still undecided as to whether he knew she was armed or not; his expression doesn't seem particularly worried in any of the pics that she may do something nuts, but he also doesn't appear to be enjoying himself or striking poses for the camera.

Since he was modest and even she admitted (to Flores) that he wouldn't willingly submit to a nude photo shoot in the shower, she obviously coerced him somehow, but I'm not sure it was with a weapon. He does seem to know near the last couple that it's not going to end well, but even in the full face shot I don't see outright fear. In that one he wasn't even looking at her face, the camera flash is on his upper forehead and his line of sight is below it. Just something I noticed. lol

I am usually in total agreement with everything you post. And I do appreciate the time and effort you put into researching photos and reviewing evidence.

The only thing (one and only) I disagree with is that last picture. I see "outright fear" in his eyes. He was terrified IMO. I am thinking he may have even been injured in those last "seated" photos. I watched and re-watched JA's testimony when they were showing that "sitting" photo of Travis (without his face). She was so distracted and kept looking at the monitor. He was in mortal fear of his life in that photo (the face one).

MOO

You are a true sleuther geevee! Great pics and yep, I get the light reflections. Especially knowing that CMJA was the only one in the bathroom with Travis, what else could it be?

Someone else on here mentioned that CMJA could have exited stage left by pushing out the screen to the back yard. I wonder how high that window is that she could have shut it behind her? And, I wonder if LE thought to fingerprint the window opening? So many questions, very few answers ...sigh lol

I was looking at the sitting shower pic again and it occurred to me - that the reddish area on the porcelain where the water is dripping - could that be a reflection of her? If she's standing there, and beginning to reach in, she'd be over that area of the shower, seems like it had to be her. I still can't say why that edge looks so different in that pic than others showing it head on (aside from that coloration).

It is funny, isn't it, that when she was talking to Flores she mentioned how she thought that was a great picture of Travis but he hated it (I have the whole quote here somewhere, I wrote it down because I wondered how either of them could have had a decent look at the pic to form conclusions considering what had happened so soon after it was taken).

I see two different expressions on that pic, the left eye (as we look) seems impatient and the right looks like it just noticed or realized something not good. For me I can't read it as a whole expression, but the one before it says he knows he's stuck in something bad.
