Um, JG: George has the hammer right up against someone's face!!! There was no hammering of signs THAT day . . .

What? That's not true. In the video, it clearly shows they were staking the yard or whatever.

I totally agree. I've seen posts saying basically that George came running out the garage with the hammer in his hand to go after the protesters.
Even with a video, people still find a way to misrepresent things. I really don't get it. And George's reaction to this latest incident is hardly what I'd call a "tantrum". He remains quite calm during the ordeal. The hammer that was up against the man's face was only there because as George brought his hands to the guy's chest to push him away from the property, that's the position the hammer found itself in. Nothing sinister although I'm sure that picture will make the rounds.

What would skeeve me out more than a handful of protesters perched in front of my house would be a whole group of them standing across the street, silently staring at me.

Now that's creepy.

The problem is that the Anthony's are trying to make public property off limits.
I understand but I also can't blame them. As for putting your hands on someone, no - probably not appropriate but there was clearly no injury and it was clearly done to try to get them to back away from the home. But is someone pressing charges? Of course. And apparently she's holding all the details for her debut on Nancy Grace tonight.

Yeah, the state's atty!!!

He shoved that older woman quite hard and could have hurt her. No one is allowed to put their hands on you and push you! Nope, nope, nope!

I agree fully! No matter how much I disagree with the protesters being there, I fully agree he should be charged. Good!

how else would I have downloaded the picture if not thru the video?
Is there not more than one way to do that? Could you not have found a still image from one of the 65 billion media outlets that are scrambling to provide coverage? What do I know about how & where you obtained the picture? The reason I asked is because you're stating things that are completely untrue based on the video so it didn't seem as if you had watched it. BTW, I wasn't the only one who asked; others noticed too.

Again I agree. The fact is that George had a hammer in his hand and could have used it, but he didn't. He's not as out of control as people are trying to portray. Both protesters say they were not harmed. The older woman says she knows what it's like to lose a grandchild. If that's the case, she should have some understanding of what the Anthonys are experiencing and leave them the heck alone. Shame on her for making things worse when they're bad enough already.

Go to the link below and pace thru the stills of the confrontation. George had the hammer in his hand as he shoved the man and the hammer is practically against the guys face. It could have been very dangerous...

Yes, it could have been dangerous and it wasn't. That speaks well of George.

Yes, I see it, thanks, Diamond. If only he had dropped the hammer before assaulting those on public property . . .

Just because there was no injury is not an excuse.
If you point a loaded gun at someone but don't shoot them,
that is a crime.
Same thing as pushing someone, just because the elderly lady wasn't
pushed to the ground doesn't matter. She could have suffered several
broken bones from his lack of self-restraint and his violent temper!

Amen.

Just a FYI

I just heard on HLN that George could be charged with a III degree felony for battery on a person 65 or older. Because he had a hammer in his hand he could also be charged with a III degree felony.

Sometimes when you're upset, you're not thinking clearly. Was what he did right? No. Did he attack them with a hammer? No. Should these people be harassing the Anthonys 24/7? No. I say they should call it a wash and all go the hell home.
