Reason for LA and KCs big grin and high-five***MERGED***

The image of KC in that baseball cap high-fiveing LA has bothered me since it was aired. What would family members of a missing child possibly be so happy about? I can't remember what point we were at in this case when it took place.

That is a very good question. As much as I want to apply common sense to this case, I really can't - given what we know.

Lee, Cindy, George and Mallory need to be investigated to the hilt. The publicity, the batphones, the interviews...none of it makes sense on any level...

Is there a consensus on why that would be a priority for a woman with a "kidnapped" child?

I agree with AZ. I just feel like the whole family has a problem with when to show which emotion. The way LA laughed through his interviews still gives me the creeps.

chefmom, your post reminds me of the couple of times that Cindy has said/warned that the Anthony family will remain united through this ordeal. And they have. Sadly, they have chosen to remain united through lies and deception. They're outwardly united even through allegations of sexual molestation and character assassinations from their own daughter/sister. This all too public faux pas was only one small symptom of their mega family disfunction. moo.

At the time that this highly offensive act occurred, Casey was ust leaving a probation office--the office where she had to report for her home arrest and ankle bracelet. During that visit it was reported that she would subsequently be allowed to go to Baez's office on a daily basis for extended periods of time.

My feeling is, and was at the time that this occurred, that the high five was to celebrate the fact that Casey would not have to be stuck in her parents' home for the entire day, would be given daily reprieve from the tensions that surely must have been rampant there, and she could go hang out near where the good looking attorney worked (the one whom we later learned had captured Casey's infatuations). In other words, Casey got something that she wanted--she snowed the probationary officer into doing what she (Casey) wanted.

I always thought it was because they had just gotten a lot of money for selling pics of Caylee.
It was very inappropriate and and angered many of us at the time

I remember their high-five, too, and people were not thrilled to see this twosome celebrating while the child was missing. Highly inappropriate considering KC was dodging the crowd and visiting her case management officer while on house arrest for losing Caylee.

It was KC's equivalent of Ronald Cummings saying he couldn't do what he wanted to do because people followed him around when Caylee first went missing.

These people have no idea how inappropriate their actions were/are. :furious:

Yes, Lee seemed to get an adrenaline rush from acting like he was a spy or something. Remember how excited he got talking to TonE about outrunning the media? He seems to have no idea how inappropriate his actions are.

I believe that HiFive was due to ICA getting the approval for those 6 hour days being spent at Baez' office...JMHO

This is when she was able to get that deal for the $200,000...is my belief...otherwise, why be so happy and so arrogant to begin with. She didn't have to spend time with CA at Hopespring allllll day loooong...JMHO another way for her to distance herself from Caylee and the manner in which she was disposed...JMHO

LA gives me the creeps at all times. There's something there and I'll probably have to wait until trial to understand just why he gives me the CREEPS.

Because getting the word out, and keeping Caylees face in the media was Cindys job. KC's job was to look cute...oh and innocent while she hung out with Baez rather than search.
