So there was a noise complaint earlier the same month, for which police showed up? And yet we have reports of loud music playing at night, the morning of which RN is found hanged. I find it hard to believe that a suicidal woman that didn't want to be stopped would play loud music considering police could have shown up.

No kidding. Had to quote this...it's such a reasonable observation it was lost in the mix! ;) Thanks, jjenny.

I think she might have been dead for hours before 911 was called. From what was reported, paramedics arrived and quickly declared her dead. She appears to still have her arms bound behind her back in her photos. If paramedics did CPR, I believe that they would have removed a cord from her arms, and put her flat on her back on a hard surface to do CPR properly. So, they might have not even tried CPR, which suggests to me she was long dead before they showed up.

Thats a very good point.
no need to disturb the scene if she was already gone

On Monday, the day after Max died, Mr Shacknai hired high-profile PR firm Sitrick and Company, a firm renowned for 'crisis management' and whose founder, Michael Sitrick, has earned a reputation as the king of spin. The firm told 10News Mr Shacknai had hired the agency because he was receiving hundreds of calls and needed time to grieve and arrange funerals for Max and Miss Nalepa.
Retired San Diego police detective Rick Carlson told 10News: 'I think they have major feelings about protecting their own interest. It certainly appears that somebody wanted to send a message.

So there was a noise complaint earlier the same month, for which police showed up? (snip).

The police report doesn't really make it plain that the loud music was coming from the DS residence. Maybe she has loud neighbors and called to complain about them!

Some earlier reporting:

Investigators used a search warrant Wednesday afternoon to enter the property to finish their probe. They said the woman died "violently."
"I'm not really prepared to comment on what led us to believe that, but the scene does indicate some type of very suspicious circumstances," Curran told a local TV station on Wednesday.

10News learned a loud party took place at the house on Tuesday night. That is something neighbors are questioning after a 6-year-old boy suffered major head injuries during an accident at the house on Monday.
"It seems strange there would be a party after the accident … doesn't seem to be a very festive occasion,"
said the neighbor.
There have been conflicting reports about how the boy was injured. A neighbor told 10News that the boy, whose name was not released, was hurt by a falling light fixture and is still in the hospital. The boy's grandmother, meanwhile, has said that the boy was injured in a fall down some stairs

I've been off reading...gotta catch up on this thread...sorry, if I seem OT...maybe Maxie 'fell' from the upper landing to the bottom of the stairs, hitting the chandelier on the way down...? A little Casey-ish, lol...a combo of the two reasons given. ;)

Re: loud music time & window of opportunity

Note: We still have no idea when the loud music was reported as being heard. The suggested 1:00 AM Wed time has NOT been found anywhere. The loud music could have been heard before RN's 10 (?) PM Tues evening phone call.

So: The window of opportunity for RN's death is still an 8 3/4 hour time frame from what little info we have been made privy. That's alot of time.

I am searching for a link with the 1 am time...I simply get side-tracked: A.D.D., not my fault. ;)

House cleaning is a real necessity in a place as big as that house -- honestly he had to have help. I would bet money on him having at least one person to maintain the property and that is very very short handed.

i so agree with this. i have no experience with rich folks or huge houses but i do have experience keeping house and raising kids. i had a 10 room house and a small yard and three kids and it was all i could do to keep it up. there is no possible way a family could live in a place that big and keep it up themselves, even if they wanted to. having kids in and out for the summer, playmates and beach time and who cooked their food? no way they took care of all that alone. some inside might be gained if someone could find the hired help, but they might not even be on paper anywhere. if they existed i would imagine they were gone by the time the emt got there.

--the july 3 "noise complaint" was at the Xwife's residence, not the spreckles mansion.

As San Diego County sheriff’s homicide investigators wait for forensics in Zahau’s death, Coronado police officers released 911 records for the mansion and the home on G Avenue occupied by Romano.

NBCSanDiego obtained a copy of those records and found officers were called to the G Avenue home just before midnight July 3 for a noise complaint.

It doesn't matter where the noise complaint was. The fact is, if there was loud music played the night of which RN was found dead, why would suicidal woman play loud music which could attract attention to herself? And considering her hands and feet were bound, it appears she was determined to successfully carry out the suicide, if we are to believe this was suicide, and it wasn't same fake attempt to gain sympathy.

And who turned off the music???

video #3.....said 2 individuals where seen removing 3 suitcases from home; escorted by security......renter?/older gentleman

also says police brought in step ladder to look at chandilier....

i think this video is from friday/saturday

Going to watch that now...I'm running short on time, SO will be home soon, and I've been SO engrossed in this case, he's wondering if my pc is surgically attached to my lap! lol...luckily, with Gods help, there's always tomorrow...or later tonight. ;)

ETA: its a great idea to go over all older videos with what we know now, imo...

And who turned off the music???

Yep, I was thinking of the same thing. Of course if it was suicide, I presume she could have turned it off herself before hanging herself. But why play it in the first place, considering police could show up on noise complaint? Of course some people attempt suicide without actually trying to kill themselves. But if someone is going to bind their hands and feet and than hang herself, that ain't a fake attempt. That is someone determined to carry it through.

Just some thoughts, Ball theory/rumor: Maybe the ball did get caught in the chandelier and an older child was holding Maxie 'out' to retrieve the ball and he fell....? How would a 6 yr old do that himself? Reach the chandelier? I gotta look at those chandelier pics again...

"NBCSanDiego obtained a copy of those records and found officers were called to the G Avenue home just before midnight July 3 for a noise complaint."

A noise complaint. Says nothing about loud music.

- grabbed it off a news video-----(looking around for it..)
--did find this:

http://www.cbs8.com/story/15075598/...mansion-owners-son-girlfriend?redirected=true

Detectives served a second search warrant on the house Friday night, and spent some time photographing the staircase balcony where the boy fell on Monday.

--we do know, that after initially calling maxi's "fall" an accident------once rebecca was found, LE began taking a closer look into monday's "fall".

RBBM

So, it was possibly that LANDING area....where Maxie MIGHT have been leaning over toward the chandelier to retrieve the ball...and fell, possibly breaking his neck...although, the 'ball' story, at this point, is only RUMOR.
