I'm not sure how the Regency Act clause 6 will change - all speculation at this point. Based on what I've read, my impression is that Counsellor of State role will no longer depend on succession. Will the role continue to be restricted to blood royals? Will it specify working royals? Thanks Otto. If Harry and Andrew are removed, does it then follow the line of succession, exluding minor children and those living overseas?
1. The Prince of Wales
2.Prince George of Wales(minor child so excluded)
3.Princess Charlotte of Wales(minor child so excluded)
4.Prince Louis of Wales(minor child so excluded)
5.The Duke of Sussex(excluded by living overseas)
6.Master Archie Mountbatten-Windsor(minor child so excluded also lives overseas)
7.Miss Lilibet Mountbatten-Windsor(minor child so excluded also lives overseas)
8.The Duke of York(excluded ... <modsnip>)
9.Princess Beatrice, Mrs. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi(not a working royal)
10.Miss Sienna Mapelli Mozzi(minor child)
11.Princess Eugenie, Mrs. Jack Brooksbank(not a working royal)
12.Master August Brooksbank(minor child)
13. The Earl of Wessex
14.Viscount Severn(minor child)
15.The Lady Louise Mountbatten-Windsor(age 18? also not a working royal)
16. The Princess Royal
17.Mr. Peter Phillips(not a working royal)
18.Miss Savannah Phillips(minor child)
19.Miss Isla Phillips(minor child)
20.Mrs. Michael Tindall(not a working royal)
21.Miss Mia Tindall(minor child)
22.Miss Lena Tindall(minor child)
23.Master Lucas Tindall(minor child)
That leaves Camilla, William, Edward and Anne. Charles wanted a slimmed down monarchy and it looks like he might get it.
I suppose we have to wait for a response from King Charles.
