Pic supposedly taken as reporters were allowed back into court yesterday. Given speculation JA had testified that morning, what is she trying to project to jurors with that very different look? Isn't this the first day she's pulled her hair back off her face? Then there's the high collared white shirt ...

I always lurk, but had to state my observations that give me happiness. From the photo's coming out of the monster she is aging fast. The gray in her hair, the paleness of her skin tell me she will never have a youthful look again. And will look horrible in the years to come as premature aging continues to take place.

The photo of her in the new blue top and tan pants, (I do not know how to link to photo's), show me that her "store bought" *advertiser censored* might as well be sagging. I hope she somehow got to look at herself in a real mirror and not just those distorted metal mirrors I have seen in films. I can imagine her twisting and turning to see how she looks in front of a full length mirror....yeah, right. Maybe she can catch a glimpse of herself on Nurmi's phone. Greasy gray streaked hair and baggy clothes and all. Nurmi could send it to her menion's with the caption "how do you like me now".

Seeing the murderer who gave interviews within minutes of being convicted and worried so much about how her makeup and hair looked, pleading for her life in her dumpy clothes gives me comfort. I take great joy in knowing that she will spend the rest of her life in prison clothes and never have the pleasures I enjoy each day to comfort her! JMO

The attorneys come back this afternoon to discuss what our fate will be in #Jodiarias regardless, we should get to at least HEAR testimony

I see what you mean. No "form fitting" clothes this time. As with all others, this JA decision is strategic.

#JodiArias followers plz understand #Stay granted today doesn't grant definite access to media. It stops secret testimony from continuing
11/3/14, 8:15 PM

They did talk about Travis. They talked about how he was there for them all when their parents died and how their lives weren't the same without him, what kind of person he was and so on. Steven also read a beautiful but bittersweet excerpt from his blog. They are victims impact statements, though. The object of them is to talk about how the crime has affected their lives. That's what they did.

Well then I'm very sad that the killer has managed to ruin all their lives, which is what they said in their VIS. That is not what Travis would ever want for any of them, I'm sure of it. He seemed to be a very loving person who wanted the best for his friends and family. Having the rest of their lives ruined and the entire family gutted is a tragedy because the killer should not have that kind of power, ever. (IMO).

I understand what you are saying. Unfortunately, victims are limited in what they can say. They have to focus on the impact the crime had on their lives. They did manage to paint as much of a picture as they could based on the limitations.

Good morning everyone! I wanted to say thank you to Renee110, MeeBee, RadarLuv, wenwe4 and hindsight2020, and anyone I missed, for the hellos as all the info and links last night. I feel lucky to be a part of such a fantastic online community of cool people. You guys rock!

I wish I could follow this trial closely. Every time I try it's flying so fast I can't get a good sense of what's up. I'm so busy at work. But as to the secrecy of Judge Stephens, who I generally defend, boy! I think it's crazy. She likely fears appeal but this is draconian and unconstitutional. Whoever stated its like the secret trials of some dictatorship, like North Korea or whatever, is right. In the United States, we do not hold secret trials. I'm glad the media is taking a stand.

I also believe that first secret witness may have been LaViolette. But I haven't followed closely enought to say for sure.

Thank you for your thoughts! Boytownmom also posted last night that she lives in America and has never seen so many secret closed sidebars. Yesterday afternoon, AZL posted she thought the secret sealed sidebars were unconstitutional. I just wanted to thank all of our WS Atty's for taking the time to give us their professional opinions.

I am also thankful for the media Atty's who stepped in immediately and took this cause on!

As an aside, I want to acknowledge that HLN has stepped out completely - This could have been headline news of some real importance for them and they missed it! OT - HLN is really missing the mark completely with their new forum replaying stupid vine links and instagrams that everyone can already see with their own devices. Their attempts at "relevant" content . . . . isn't really relevant to me on what is happening in the "real" world vs. play/fun/frivolity. Sorry I am just venting.

The optimistic headlines are a little misleading with regard to what the ruling actually was yesterday. The stay was granted. The closed portion of the trial must stop until the Court of Appeals can address the special action. THEN they will most likely rule that the judge can't shut out media (or the public.)

:seeya: Yes, the headlines can be misleading ...

Oh, I just wish that both issues would have been addressed by the appellate court yesterday so that case could have gotten back on track ... :waitasec: this court has never been on track to begin with !

:moo:

Thank you so much for posting the photo. And hi to a fellow Georgian.

Agree on strategic, that was my first thought on seeing this photo. But, doesn't it say a lot that these are the last times she can wear street clothes and she is wearing such frumpy outfits? I think she has finally realized her manipulation will not get her out of prison. And she has realized she better be begging the jury for her life.

Thanks for the sample. Maybe its just the days where there were so many sidebars that it seemed worse than it really was.

I do have to say I have never seen a case with so many sidebars. Most other cases I have seen, they only happen once in a blue moon. In this case, it seemed they happened way too frequently. And as soon as this new trial started, they started happening again.

Some of the expressions from Juan were truly hysterical as he got frustrated with so many of them.

Well, the example is all well and good, but the majority of the objections/sidebars came from the defense - JW & KN. Juan could hardly get questions out before Willmont was stomping up to the bench followed by a very lethargic KN. When Juan had the floor, it was sidebar after sidebar. I watched every moment of the trial as did most all of us.

Some video's were recorded without sidebars being shown. An example is David Lohr. Some other people did this as well. It just depended on who made the video's, IMO. The sidebars were numerous and frequent. There were more than I've ever seen.

MOO

The video was opened for comments at first. You would of thought that JA supporters would of been offering their support the parents and their money but what we saw were comments from supposed JA "haters", which I believe were actually JA supporters told to put those kind of comments there. Then the comment section was closed, not to long after. Makes you think that this video was put there for the reason you state. I guess they think we have no reasoning skills.

The impression I got was that it's all about the money and making sure it goes to the right place...them! Wrongful conviction, my a$$!!!

So we are at a stand still?

The monster (and as a Lady Gaga fan and horror movie buff, I hate saying that) is holding the court hostage? Because that's what it seems like to me.

No, troll, you're not innocent. A jury did convict you. Stop playing games and let's get on with it. I wonder if she can have any civil suit filed against her?

I also blame the delays and length of this whole mess on JSS. Very very rarely, do they actually start anything on time. Every morning, every time after coffee and lunch, they return with a sidebar, court starting 10-15 minutes late each and every time. Not to mention the way too many chamber meetings, half days because she couldn't make a decision, granting delays even after she said NO. MORE DELAYS. There is NO reason for not have court today. At. 3pm yesterday, when the lost in appeals court, the jury should have been sent home. Then judge and lawyers should have spent the next 2 hours til normal day end figuring out how to proceed. At the very least, take an hour hour this morning and then get moving. Why no hearing until 1:30 today? If they hadn't lost that appeal, they would have been there at 9 am this morning. If they were so concerned about losing jurors, they would be more thoughtful and mindful of time.

.....

Other than trying to get down to only one viewer left, I'm not sure what HLN's goal is. I can't handle Robin Meade so I'm not sure if the morning is the same, but as far as I can tell the noon hour is replayed at 1 and again at 2. The 3pm hour is replayed at 4. So the 2 hours they have just gets repeated. And you're right, it's irrelevant crap.

I'd like to know what they're having for lunch. Only WAT tells us. Tbh he's my favorite tweeter. When I was in the hospital for my crohns during the last trial, he tweeted me a get well message!

Anyway, all these long lunches! I demand food pics! Wasn't there an issue because poor CMJA wasn't getting enough gruel?

I also blame the delays and length of this whole mess on JSS. Very very rarely, do they actually start anything on time. Every morning, every time after coffee and lunch, they return with a sidebar, court starting 10-15 minutes late each and every time. She's lost control of that courtroom, if she ever had it to begin with..................

(IMO).

It is sad indeed because they could have talked for hours about all the good things Travis had accomplished in his life.

He sounded like a kind of guy that would help anyone in need and who was down on their luck. If someone was sad he would try his best to make them happy. Hell he even took up for his murderess when others tried to tell him how wicked she was. Travis wanted to see the good in everyone even the demon that murdered him.

It makes me think for Travis to finally say that JA was the worst thing that had ever happened to him.. it had to be something very serious for him to finally accept that she had no redeeming qualities at all. Travis was the last one to ever give up on anyone or lose faith in them and for him to do so with Arias... she had to do a horrible thing to him even before she slaughtered him.

The irony will be if because of her own hesitation and inability to rule like any other judge would do, she herself causes a mistrial and then has to decide the sentence.
