Retrial for Sentencing of Jodi Arias - 12/19-1/5 Break

I know she said all this stuff at her interview but she still could have been trying to come up with excuses at this particular time for the recovery of these photos which in her view point would be an attempt to throw LE off. My question would be why would she put pictures from former times on Travis' new camera, what would be the reason/purpose for this on this fateful day. Did she really think that far ahead in the days before June 4, 2008? She yes can premeditate certain aspects of that day but not the entire day. The shower scene could easily have been premeditated due to the Psycho movie. One would have to assume that she intended for Travis' new camera to be found with photographs even though many of them had been purposely deleted. Why take the time to delete photographs? She may have begun deleting them and then gave up as the process was taking so long (her time was severely limited with the roommate coming home at any time). She may have decided to just take the camera with her and in the hurry the camera by accident went into the washer. The photographs were awful in terms of "good" photography shooting. Travis messed up her time situation with getting out of the shower which resulted in a very bloody scene. The roommate was due home between 6 am and 6:30 am and she now faced hurry up time that was not in her premeditation scenario. Just some of the things I wonder/ponder about.

She did think long and hard about certain things. Stealing the gun from her own house wasn't brilliant...I agree. Going by Darryl's and getting a redundant gas can was Capital Stupid. The license plate, dumber than dumb. OK, so much for Einstein...

But, I can't believe she didn't figure on a certain amount of time to take care of things on the computer and phones in Mesa. Which leads me to believe, Travis was NOT expecting her and she either monkeyed around with the computer before or after the slaughter.

The time warp, could account for her playing around with the last activity on the computer to coincide with her call from from the Hoover Dam. Otherwise, it makes NO sense, she was well on her way to Ryan, even tho she was late, she was expected. Why call from there? Jodi never says or does anything without a reason. MOO

This is exactly why I can't buy into the theory that the photos came from another time. When she premeditated the murder, her plan was so obvious that she was never there and hasnt been since april, he purchased this camera after that. This singular piece of evidence is the Achilles heel of her entire plan. Why would Jodi arias leave this evidence wrapped up in a bow to convict her. It doesn't make sense, because it just didn't happen. Those photos were taken that day.

Maybe she switched memory cards with one of hers beforehand and intended to switch them back?

That way, she could have re-lived that day forever, with none the wiser.

So well stated!!! Thank you!! Personally, I have never had any doubts that the photos were taken on June 4, 2008. The hair color alone is a huge clue. We have not seen all the photos taken on that day either. Someone indicated there were 8 photos (2 of Travis and 6 of her) and one sex video. LE and those forensically involved are very positive that these photos all occurred on June 4, 2008 and proved their case in this area in my opinion. Just so fortunate that even though his body was not found for so long after, the fact that the roommate(s) never used the laundry facilities and never used his computer during this time period, is pretty amazing. If the crime scene had not turned out very messy and Travis fighting back that caused her to cut herself leaving a bloody palm print (her DNA mixed with his) and the ultimate evidence the camera gave, she probably would have gotten away with this murder. She had to have known from watching television crime situations that photographs can be retrieved. This is why in my opinion she did intend to take the new camera with her. The very joy of her beloved hobby was her total undoing. Karma!!

Oh yes, Jodi did goof (very stupid) in several areas. I think she was so positive that everyone thought the burglary at her grandparents home was some other dude did it and where else could she have gotten a small gun on such short notice. Premeditation can go quite a ways but then there is the unexpected that can cause the problems.

She did make calls to Travis prior to leaving California that we do know. She had to make sure Travis would be home. She probably found out the roommate(s) itineraries. She had a main agenda for calling Travis when she did. There were certain things she had to know before implementing her plan and ultimate objective. In my opinion, Travis did not know she was coming to Arizona. As has been previously discussed, there was the chance that Travis would let someone know she was coming. My thought too has been why would Travis not attempt to call her during her long trek to Arizona had he known she was coming to make sure she was okay along the way. She was a woman driving a very long ways alone. Travis was the kind of guy who would do that. Or he might have found it odd that she was not calling him along the way, and again attempted to call her. There are no such phone calls on record of Travis calling Jodi during this traveling time period.

Had the entire murder occurred where she had already planned, totally in the shower stall, Jodi had plenty of time for any clean up on herself, take the camera, and other items, and exit the house.

And this is where things get complicated for me, by 5:33.32 pm (I think the last accidental photo was the dragging) she is dragging his heavy body back to shower stall (keeping in mind the roommate is going to be back for sure by 6:30 am at the latest, although time span was between 6 am and 6:30 am), there is just not a whole lot of time left in the scenario to clean herself up (did she change clothes then or what, she obviously showered blood off herself), attempt to clean up crime scene, look around, gather up laundry to put in washer, gather up her things which include the knife, gun, backpack, ?purse, lock his bedroom door, carry all downstairs without leaving any evidence anywhere along the way (railings, carpeted stair steps, etc), (bare feet or clean socks, did she take time to put on her shoes), and one has to be in a panic adrenaline type rush (can one think clearly as the clock is ticking) (was Napoleon's barricade already in place at bottom of stairs), put clothes in washer along with bleach and soap and begin wash cycle, and exit the area. This part had NOT gone according to the premeditation plan. IMO

If we take as fact

-5:33pm last picture taken.
-11:53pm placed call to travis phone in kingman exactly 3hr 18 minute drive so total time lapse is 6 hours from last picture, she travelled only 3 hours.

Would've taken her 7hr 41 minutes to get to West jordan didn't arrive until 10-11am . She should have arrived in West jordan about 730am it gave her 3 hours to rest and primp. The timeline for me makes perfect sense.

Watching a movie about Carolyn Warmus--the woman who murdered her lover's wife. She had a history of stalking, sending threatening letters to women etc. She even converted to another religion for one boyfriend. Very much like Arias. One difference is that Carolyn's father was a millionaire so she tried to woo her married boyfriend with expensive gifts.

She was convicted only of second-degree murder and might get out on parole in 2017. :scared:

Another possibility is that the camera was on its default time GMT +0. That makes sex photos at 6:42 AM, and shower photos at 10:22 AM.
Per Flores report, Enrique said Travis told him he had only 45 minutes sleep on the morning of June 4th.
This scenario makes so much more sense to me. JA arrives around 3-4 AM, waits for Enrique to leave, have sex (assuming they had sex), naps a little, kills Travis while he was taking shower around 10:30 AM. She would be the one who texted Hughes around noon. This timeline also gives her more time to clean herself up, place Travis back in the shower, delete pictures, do laundry, eat, use his laptop, clean banister, etc. She spent some time in his office going through his laptop in the afternoon, so the 'i brought 2 cds' story was born.
I think Det Melendez testified the Sony camera couldn't take pictures any more when found. (Please correct me if I'm wrong). That means he couldn't verify if the time on the camera was correctly set or not.

I have several relatives that have a po box no. and they have to pick up there mail at the post office and have done that for years as no delivery to doors were economically possible. The camera powered on once the power cord was located. The only damage was to the button that is pushed to snap a picture. It was loose but useable

Contrast that with this criminal...can't get rid of her no matter how hard we try! Death by lethal injection--preceded by years of preparation, family visits, good hearty meals, sessions with pastors, and finally a relatively painless death in a calm environment is a piece of cake compared to the manner in which good and decent people die every single day. Choosing death is a no-brainer in this case. I hope the jurors enjoy their holidays and come back more determined than ever to arrive at the correct verdict.
