I think its waaay too early to feel pessimistic about this jury or the outcome.

The jurors simply don't know CMJA as well as we all do, nor Travis. They're deciding whether or not CMJA gets the DP. Its their job to listen to Dr. F and to try to figure out why her testimony is important to the DT.

This lack of respect has me astounded!! I just cannot wrap my head around this unruly courtroom. She should not be allowed to address him as Juan, she should be told to answer the questions simply and succinctly. JSS has the ability to stop this NOW! Also, Nurmi should be standing to object as he has been asked. He appears lazy and condescending. IMO most attorneys are very deferential to judges because they certainly don't want to get on the bad side of one, because almost certainly they will be in their courtroom again on some future case. Sheesh - I remember attorneys coming back to the office and taking it out on the staff because they had been reprimanded for a misspelled word in a motion!

The only determine factor if this has gone well is if a juror or two buys it. We are biased. We think it hasn't gone well but has it indeed?

MeeBee, I think you're worrying too much. Even if there is 1 on there who is pro D, they need to actually make the cut. And 2, that's what deliberations are for. Juan has this, I'm sure of it. Have faith, we need it right now.

Come on guys- don't be like willows in the wind. Have some faith. The presentation by the defense has not gone well- at all. Quite the opposite. None of their half-baked crazy motions have come out on their side either. Juan has got this- I swear.

I don't want too the negavite nancy, but the first jury seriously left me with PTSD. Juan HAD that as well. That jury freaking saw him catch JA in lie after lie. He did a wonderful job and couldn't get the DP. I'm not as optimistic as I was back then. Because I know that all it takes is one.

I think Juan felt she had hurt herself enough in front of the jury by not admitting to her own testimony as reflected on a certified court reporter's transcript.
