Retrial for Sentencing of Jodi Arias - Day 20

I have a feeling the jurors are completely confused as to what the point is regarding the "mitigation". Because there is nothing sequential being presented to the jury. Nothing is straightforward. I, personally, if I was on the jury, would be very suspicious as to what was being hidden from me and would suspect Ms. Arias to be much, much worse than presented.

I also suspect Nurmi's tactics are going to backfire. Juan hasn't done any cross examination of many of the witnesses yet. So Juan's cross (which will probably be epic) will be fresh in the juror's minds while the original defense testimony will be a faded memory.

I honestly think JSS has forgotten just how much of the computer testimony was done without the jury being present.

No, the position you inquire about does not exist within Arizona state government.

I was trying to cite a very rough equivalent; however, under separation of powers, the AG is a member of Executive Branch, not the Judicial.

The Supreme Court is the final authority in the Judicial Branch.

Actually Nash, according to BK JSS did apologize, told the jurors not to hold the delay against either side, and said that Geffner was not available today so next witness (John Smith) will take the stand.

I have a legal question: can a Judge put in a good word/speak up for the side she favors when a SC reviews a motion? ex: in this case, can the Judge ask the SC to fall on the side of Ms Arias in their ruling?

No.

I'm surprised that Pseudonym doesn't have higher academic credentials.

I checked, and the guy I was thinking of does have a degree.
