That was my only other thought, that Toshiba made the hard drive, but why hasn't that come up before in any of the motions? Totally confused.
I don't find it surprising.
The issues have always been related to the data and activity on the hard disk drive (HDD), not its manufacturer.
Being an internal component, it has little visibility.
I never heard anyone make reference to the laptop's memory manufacturer or its chipsets, processor, optical drive, etc. either.
Many of us can tell you about his Sony camera model number, etc.
Most folks closely following the trial can tell you that TA allegedly used a Compaq Presario laptop.
But what model was it?
I do know that it was supposedly registered to one Deanna Reid.
