LinasK, what did you think of Jodi's secret testimony? I read that whole thing too. It all made me pretty sick that JSS allowed it to be a secret. What was your opinion of what JA had to say?

A little bit of new lies, mostly same old, same old. I think JSS allowed it knowing the COA would overrule her and Nurmi would have nothing to complain about. All is good, Jodi's lies are out in the open even though we had to wait to read them and didn't get to watch her. JSS is giving the defense team enough rope to hang themselves. They really have nothing more to drag this trial out, but they keep trying, like the new audio tape today.

Geffner still has to finish. That's like 3 days right there.

Then Jodi needs finish. That's another week or two.

Then whatever is going on with the affidavits and other witnesses. The *advertiser censored* letters aren't in yet. And of course Nurmi will request a week to be able to file an appeal with the COA. Then Juan's rebuttal: another week. And then the defense's rebuttal that's like another month.

I don't know anymore.

She testified in this Re-Trial on:

- October 30, 2014
- November 3, 2014

So that would probably be the equivalent of almost a day's worth of testimony in JSS courtroom.

She was on the stand for 18 Days in the Trial, so I think she will go 19 days, maybe 20, maybe more !

It's kind of interesting that she sat on all these motions so she could consolidate them into one giant ruling. It's ljke she knew this would happen and wanted to reduce her work and having to write a response to a new one every other week. Lol.

Me too... after I read the first paragraph and realized how much actual BS she was having to point by point deny. Insane.

As many people here have pointed out- Lawrence and Jennifer must be rich over this case- their dirty little mitigation specialist too! That 80's club hopping inappropriate looking gal has the ability to testify for her little muse JA- as evidenced by what JSS states in the court order- but never can or will because of her impropriety. WOW. I hope she had fun at the spa yesterday and enjoys driving her new Lexus- because her hubby loves her- he certainly better because I will be very surprised if she still has a job after this trial wraps up!

After today I'll never think of her as anything but reprehensible, actually. I'm glad she outlined all the no's to Nurmi, but that doesn't make her a good judge much less a hero. It makes her an adequate judge ruling on a pile of motions. That's it.

Hey Hope, she is a bitter pill to swallow isn't she? Today was right out of the twilight zone. Couldn't even make since of the tweets covering the trial. She covered all the motions and shot down every one, as she SHOULD have, but why the long wait and why the secret testimony that was nothing but lies, and why allow the defense team to get away with so much only to shoot them down?

It's been explained a million different times a million different ways that she allowed it because she was worried that Jodi was refusing to take the stand without waiving her right to testify.

from providing her opinion or commenting about the case on social media. Even if
the court had evidence that Detective Flores had discussed matters from a sealed
proceeding with his wife, Defendant has failed to show that it affected her case in any
way. The penalty phase retrial jurors were questioned about any prior knowledge of
the case including information obtained through the media. None of the jurors
indicated any knowledge about these social media exchanges. Defendant does not
allege how her case was prejudiced by these incidents. The Court finds no ground for
dismissal of the indictment or the Notice of the Intent to Seek the Death Penalty
based upon this claim.

I was so angry at the end of court today. But now, after reading the slap down, I feel much better. Looking at the LOOONNNGGGGG list of total BS that Nurmi filed is hilarious. I think I might actually go visit Jodi-land just to see how mad they are about now. They were all arguing about were Jodi was going to go live when she was set free, last time I visited there. :floorlaugh:

I agree...the new audio tape today was a real dud. The whole day was.

It wasn't a good judgment. But that was her reasoning. It was not to protect the information in her tesrimony or to protect her from media pressure, it was to prevent an appeal issue so Jodi is never released on a technicality.

She's made this an air-tight verdict by doing so, letting the COA have the final word on Jodi's secrecy, but the DT can't come back and say you didn't let Jodi have her privacy. She knew how it would look.
