Poor Juan, having to continue with this travesty today. I'm sure he feels Det. Flores' loss on a personal level, and the absence of his right hand man in court. He will need to draw on his inner strength, and I doubt Nurmi or Willmott will allow him any grace for lack of concentration.

I have been sitting here thinking, trying to figure out why JSS is extending the time today for this trial... It came to me after my 3rd cup of Jo. They may be shutting down the courts in the middle of the week cause of the superbowl... with security needed from all the officers at the court house and surrounding areas. Also the traffic is going to be cray cray starting on Wednesday of this week with all the pre celebrations... There might not be court from Wednesday to next Monday...

Good point. I wondered what the impact would be.

I know all or most of the journalists work together, but it makes me uncomfortable to see Beth with this guy. I just distrust him so much. IMO he is so biased and I don't see Beth that way.

Local Phoenix media attention is focused on Super Bowl week, and the city is chock-full of national and global media presence.

It only makes sense that LE/security will be stepped up -- on steroids.
