NOT bringing up religion here ... just trying to make a point about the defense team:

I sure hope the defense team does NOT show disrespect, and does NOT attack and insult this bishop on cross-examination ...

They have been very rude and very confrontational with the States' witnesses in the past, and to do this to any clergy member of any religion is downright disrespectful, IMO.

I think she sent him the link to YouPorn, saying she posted stuff of them together (maybe never made it clear whether audio, pics or a sneaked video) - considering aside from the virus-*advertiser censored*, there was never any user action of *advertiser censored* on his computer except that one, if he went to Youporn for 45 minutes it was to search for something specific. We'll probably never know if he found anything or she was sandbagging him, she dearly loved head games.

One thing that has surprised the heck out of me, her responses to any of his angry texts is so unusual, if someone calls you a carcass, THW, worse thing that ever happened to me, whether deserved or not, she never replies like she even read the words, no anger, no 'how could you?', no defense of whatever caused the mean words to be said. I don't buy 'flat affect' as explanation, there's just something so truly odd about her lack of direct responses to any angry thing he said to her.

I've only recently noticed references to "the you-*advertiser censored* link" and have no idea what this is about. Can anyone give me a quick brief???

Did that actually happen, did she word it 'hostile witness'?

A speculation. .....

Nurmi is letting JA have her way with what gets presented because it has helped bolster his only chance for a successful appeal: that the anti-DP 9th circuit , always in search of new avenues for overturning DP convictions, will be persuaded by the argument that extensive online coverage of the trials in various ways denied her due process and a "fully actualized mitigation."

That's my best shot at explaining their disastrous approach.

But does FJA get new lawyers for her appeal appointed by the state? I doubt she has enough private fund to hire her own team for years and years and that team would have to agree to represent her.

In MOO the money she has raised is being spent by others in many different ways.

I believe it was tweeted as a statement outside the jury. Silly JW - all State witnesses are considered 'hostile witnesses' to the defence, and vice versa.

Hi NP, of course the DT believes the state's witnesses are "hostile", to them truth and witness credibility have no place, and is forbidden, in this trial, doncha know!!

This am I reread the transcript from the sidebar about introduction of the sex tape during the first trial, and the reasoning behind introducing it included the DT saying it was to defend against accusations of her being accused of stalking at the same time as the sex tape (May) and to prove how he was not a virgin etc.... at http://archive.azcentral.com/ic/pdf/0607arias-sex-tape-proceeding.pdf. From there.......... I wanted to again listen to the sex tape

oh my...now what we know... listening to this AGAIN after all we know has a different light. How she prompts him at the beginning and lures him into talking about Abe etc. A MUST review for me for sure. Glad I had time to listen to it. Would recommend a little review for those who have time at...

Sadly for this Defense by the time any appeal is heard I bet social media and trials will go hand in hand and be an everyday event. The sign of the times. Thanks to social media none of us are required to
Live in the dark. Like politics and many other venues it is where it's at nowadays.

So probably just in the sense of 'this witness is a big meany face, and I will cry about it!', rather than actual legal sense. Fair enough, I'll bet Deanna was feeling a bit hostile as JW's witness, and rightly so.

It would have taken a lot for me not to vault over the witness stand at her when she asked 'Can't you read'?

IMO, she recorded this to use as blackmail and this is what inspired Travis' angry texts to her.

I agree. And she started plotting this the day she wrote in her journal that she wanted to get a Helio Ocean phone. Someone posted that link to when that was a couple days ago I believe. And we all know that Gus Searcy came through for her on that one. Never helped her one iota with launching a "career" in the PPL biz but got her a rare phone (for the time) that would secretly record phone calls.
