I can't understand when she writes that Travis begged her to come to Mesa but she had to be quite and lay low. and then she write that she'd wasted a year on Travis and hadn't got anywhere.

I am glad the is one thing Juan Martinez did was he helped open our eyes and see what he saw.. .no relationship then what Jodi said. When Jodi testified in the guilt phase that she didn't expect anything for Valentines day, I was shocked. No sir, I get candy, I get perfume and a nice dinner. I expect it because we're a couple and he wants to have a goodnight sleep. But to not expect something twelve days after you became someone special, on a special day for lovers is sad.

BBM
EXACTLY. You become an official couple, and then 12 days later it's Valentines Day? That calls for roses and chocolate at a minimum.

Jodi Ann's journal entry March 22, 2008 (around the time she was leaving Mesa)

Things I want to buy:
Ocean Helio phone $150
Great Life 2100
Mac 2000
External drive 150
TNV event 800
Daniel's Summit 600
Team Freedom 400
Back Taxes 1000
LLC 900

When Gus heard of this list, he opted to buy her the cheapest one on the list.:blushing:
You can also see her never-ending desire to snatch another PPL 'executive' by attending pretty expensive PPL events.

BINGO! :winner: You wrote exactly what I wanted to write. Thank you.

It also makes Martinez super hawt, what a noggin that man has! Rawwwrrr!

Sincerely though, I am in awe of his astute perception and insanely in-depth knowledge. I am drooling at the mouth to get ahold of all of these sidebars! Does anyone know if audio of that will be released, or just transcripts?

I don't think she told AA she was dabbling in Mormon faith until after she had met TA.

She initially met AA before she met TA, but I think it took a long tie for them to go on a date. A I correct?

Yeah, I think Abe was talking about when he was on his date with Jodi in December that she mentioned to him she was dabbling.

But it was news to me too that Jodi met Abe in Aug. She never talked about that convention that I know of. I've only heard her talk about carpooling with some friends to go in Sept as if it was her first time.

Did Jodi get the front row treatment at the Aug convention too???

Wait, didn't she testify that she got melted chocolates and Spiderman underwear? And this?

I do have a relative who is an atty. in Arizona....handles civil cases....he can't answer most of my questions...

I want to know why.....Sherry allowed the killer to testify in secret. That was unconstitutional. COA and Supremes shut her down. So, the killer got a days worth of testimony, free from cross exam and now, the jury won't even be told what that was all about?? Will they be thinking everything she said must be true? How is that fair to the taxpayers of Arizona? The judge screws up so the defendant gets a free pass?? When a judge does something so egregious, there should be some remedy for it. Besides waiting for the next time she's up for election! How many other trials will she influence with her incompetence before then?

I feel sure JM will not leave the jury with the impression that JA was telling the truth. :)

There is no official timeline now of their relationship, only she said he told me he loved me (unless during a sexual encounter one time), there's no he beat me evidence, he used me, Travis abused me evidence, sodimized me unwillingly, there's no nothing. Nothing has proved otherwise now. They tripped around sometimes. hmmm

She's the toast. Gosh the truth hits you when you follow closely.

You guys remember when DB claims JA "changed" shortly after meeting Travis?

I call BS. She CHANGED when she died her hair blonde, got a boob job, joined PPL and realized she could manipulate older men.

It's becoming clearer to me now that Jodi has amplified this relationship in her mind even more than I thought before. I thought they did have a long distance thing and then broke up. I am so convinced now, especially after reading her letter and hearing Abe's testimony, that they were never official. It's all coming together now.

Jodi and Travis met, engaged in a flirtation, dated a little, but he seems to have definitively decided she wasn't the one. When she was in Cali she tried hard to get him to commit to her. He liked her but didn't want to take it further. She rationalized in her mind that the only reason he wouldn't committ to her and make her his girl was just to keep crazy Deanna happy. She was in a battle for his attention and devotion and was never worthy. She complained to the Hughes' to make him commit and they played along because they liked her before realizing they'd been had.

The goal was to make him get her to move there. Eventually he tells her it's never gonna happen so she just takes the initiative and moves there anyway, with great resistance from him. The rest of it was her finding ways to insinuate herself into his life, knowing she could always take advantage of his good nature. Can I keep my stuff in your garage? Can I use your car? Can I get some money? Can I get a ride? Oh, is this your bed? Where'd my clothes go? And it always felt like she was so close, so close to winning him. But it just wasn't going to happen.

She convinced herself that they were just on the DL, they were really together but had to keep it underground. But why would Travis do that? When he was with someone, he was with them. He made it known, they were together, he called her his girlfriend. Jodi never got this from him. I never saw any evidence that he held her in the same regard as Deanna or Lisa or Linda or any other girl. She was just another girl he got his rocks off with. And so she had to convince herself in her mind that it's just because she's more special. They were star crossed lovers. Never got the timing right. Travis did love her the most but there were people in his life that we're keeping him from her. So she had to drive a wedge between them. Still didn't work.

Travis should really have put up better boundaries because every time he slept with her it gave her a glimmer of hope. Her obsession with him was deep. All she wrote about, talked about, thought about, wanted was Travis. She had to make this go away because she was finding it impossible to move on. There was a journal entry that I believe encapsulates her need to kill Travis. It basically said there was something that needed to be cut off at its source, shut off like a light. This was Travis. She would only have freedom when he was gone. When Flores was grilling her, just before she changed her story to the ninjas, she's crying and seems close to confessing. "I had to move on."

What's happening now isn't so much hatred of Travis (though that's part of it) as it is a need to convince the world of what the truth of them was, of what she knows she and Travis were. She knew more about him than anyone. Was treated differently than anyone else. Meant more to him than anyone. Make her fantasy a reality in his death. She's done a darn good job too. And Travis isn't here to tell full truth of it and what she put him through.

A lot to think about here..... I guess what's striking to me about the whole 2006-2008 debacle is the degree to which JA's whole "relationship" with TA was not rooted in reality. There is no evidence that they actually went on a "date" kind of a date, no evidence that they had sex with any frequency or passion (despite the sex talk), no evidence that there was anything serious in their relationship, no sign of mutuality, no evidence that she was ever close to being "his girl". Any scaffolding which would have said this was a significant boyfriend/girlfriend connection was all a figment of her imagination, and constructed from lies and manipulations.

While I agree JA "had to make Travis go away" because she couldn't unravel her mind from her fantasies, that doesn't account for the virulence with which she has tried to erase everything he was about. I suppose "erasing" is another method of digging someone out by the roots, but with JA it's never enough. She's as obsessed with destroying his reputation as she was obsessed with him in life. And she will never stop, because without an obsession, she is nothing.

According to KCL, MK made some comments within earshot of the public/others in the courtroom, during breaks, about Travis. Seriously ugly, totally uncalled-for comments. I can't stand the man, not because of his reporting so much as his inability to interact with others in an acceptable manner and his not taking the time to ensure his brain is in working order before he speaks.

I forget, who's MK?

I always wondered what exactly went on in the trailer in Vegas.

Uhhhh... I think there's not a lot to wonder about. Seems kinda obvious to me. Kinda like Gus not wanting to say who was in the car with him.

Stalker alert, lol

Does Jodi get internet access!!

Nail on head, 'nuff said. :thumb:

The mitigating specialist is tweeting for Jodi. Now we know why they had the term IMPEACH on their minds when Abe testified. It was because they knew Deanna was going to take the stand. They knew her testimony would show the jury that Jodis witnesses are liars and therfore THEIR testimony should be impeached. At least in the minds of the jurors. Combine that with the hidden messages Jodi wrote in the magazine and it should be clear to the jury that Jodi is the worst thing that ever existed.

Has this jury heard about the hidden messages?

Pocketaccent, speaking of Gus, do you remember what Jodi was doing with her tongue when he took the stand to testify? I think she was reminding him of their time together. Everone can go back and watch. You will see what Im talking about. She was making the rounds.

:seeya: :eek:fftobed: It's been fun playin witcha tonight, but I'm sleepy. Hopefully I'll be around for the fireworks with Deanna tomorrow.

And yes the jury did hear the magazine coded messages!

Have you ever seen the YouTube videos "Kids React to …"

I would pay money to see video of the current jury reacting to the post-verdict video of this trial.

ETA: if it ever ends and we get to see video of it, that is

What is the story on that outfit anyway. I don't think I've ever heard it.

Yes! And the fun part is the jury doesn't know who she was giving it to so they have to wonder if each one that spoke for her was the one it was intended for. It creates doubt for ALL of her witnesses.

Well only for the "executives" doncha know. So they can help her with "business and relationship advice". ;)

We haven't even included the older guy from Monterey (?) who funded the murder trip to Mesa....

She had them made for herself.....after the murder, presumably. Look at how cheap they are, and TA wasn't at all about low quality: he projected classiness even in his closet!

All expenses for Prosecutions witnesses are paid by the state... if somebody needs to change the flights and etc, the state will pay for it..
