The problem with that is that anyone he brings in gets exposed to the DT's slime highway. Anything they have ever said or done gets trotted out to the jury too. It can easily turn into a big muddy mess. Lots of his friends have their own skeletons in the closet. Or have done questionable media interviews. Or have made offhand comments about TA that could be misconstrued or twisted.

I don't think Juan wanted to take any chances. He just wants to finish this trial before the jurors start dropping out. JMO

If I have it right from BK notes, don't expect anything new from Dworkin testimony. JSS asked JM the scope of his questions. JM replied that his questions of Dworkin would be limited to the same material covered in his original interview with Dworkin and/or brought out in the guilt phase .

Imo what JM is going for is to have the defense's own expert say on the record that he too never looked for viruses or *advertiser censored* url's etc.

It is going to be a very short day in court tomorrow Feb 12, Thursday, and a long time again until Tuesday, Feb 17, if there is any court on Tuesday (ugh!!!). These last Defense Team witnesses are going to cause long delays and boring repetitive testimony. JMO.

I was replying to curious, who stated she didn't feel like his name has been cleared from all the lies the defense has told. You're right, none of us know what the jury thinks. But I am pretty sure I can say that none of them believe he was a pedophile. And to me, that is one of the best things to come from this. Juan did everything he could, he's exhausted, he's sick of these bloody defense games. I'm at the point where it just needs to end, death or LWOP, let's just finish this.

I know, Nash. For a change of pace I am trying to be a peacemaker instead of a bomb thrower.

I can't speak for Curious, but I doubt her worry is a criticism of JM. More a fear of the unknown that is the jury, and what they're concluding about Travis. The mud thrown on him has been thick and deep and constant. I don't blame her for being worried. I'm not, but that's just me.

Ocean....about her blackmailing him with sex tape, and today's testimony.

All JMO:

If she'd threatened him with the tape, Travis wouldn't have waited until June 1 to go looking on youporn for something she might have uploaded there. He would have freaked and looked the same day.

Instead, the day after the text-fight, his computer was attacked. That says a great big FU by her, IMO. He'd told her to stay out, threatened to go after her legally if she persisted, and so she went back in to his accounts and planted malware or some other bad thing.

I have always been baffled by the thought he let her stay on the 4th if she had told him about the tape. She didn't tell him about it. He needed to hear from her that she was moving on and would let him do the same, and that's what she told him.

Adding.....a single email exchange from the day before is missing but the Hughes have seen the whole fight text. There is no reference to or hint of the tape in it. But there are multiple indirect references to her hacking in/making up stories.

That was the trigger, imo.

That's how I've been thinking too, but didn't know how to put it into words. Thanks!

I just wanted to point out a personal experience I had with Trial by Tweet. I attended a high profile Trial here in Canada. Trial by Tweet of course. I did manage to attend twice. When i got home and read the tweets it gave me pause to realize just how much is missed. Not only testimony but the context it was given etc. etc. Just some food for thought.

So, did the final time line ever get decided? Last tweet that was clear to me, judge was unhappy with the defense time line. They said they have a local witness on the 18th that will take an hour and then Geffner isn't available until the 25th. Then she called them to sidebar and ? who knows what was figured out.

Any ideas? Are we really only having 1 witness next week that will only take an hour, pretty much giving the defense a 2 week break to file more motions?

If the defense cannot get witnesses on the stand next week then Juan should rethink resting. Put Dr. Horn back up and let's look at Jodi's handiwork. Maybe Flores or a crime scene investigator to show pics of that bloody bathroom. I'm sure he can think of something to show the jurors until Geffner can find his way back to Phoenix

Isn't this what happened in the Sechrest case? The prosecutor using the DT's witness?

Also, I hope JSS does not give JA more time. Please no more Dr. F & Geff (I forgot which poster had this rhyme, but I like it), and "John Smith aka sue-duh-nihm. This has to end.

I agree, it doesn't sound as if anything about the Helio would be new information. The only thing ("noteworthy") that pops into my head about the Helio is the selfies of defendant with her dark brown (newly dyed) hairdo, but IIRC Dworkin didn't testify to those photos in the guilt phase, a detective did. Would be interesting if those photos were reintroduced because I thought they were particularly creepy, which might be a nice way to end the state's rebuttal.

Something I did not see addressed about popups is how easily a person can inadvertently click on one or type into it. Even with regular programs, you can be typing something in or in the process of starting to click on something and BOOM! something suddenly pops up on top of what you THINK you are doing, so you end up clicking on or even typing into whatever just popped up because it didn't register with your brain in time to stop your fingers before interacting with it. It could be another open window on your computer that suddenly takes possession of the "on top" part of the display and becomes the active window because it has a notification for something or it finished running some task and now it wants your attention. I get little notification balloons when I get new email, and if I'm about to click on the scrollbar near the bottom right and the notification comes up, I can easily bring up my email program and go to that specific message, all by accident.

It's also easy to inadvertently click on something on a web page. I will often click on a blank part of a page just to DEselect something or assure that nothing else is selected or to make the browser active after doing something else, but sometimes the cursor drifts or something was delayed showing on the screen, and it's no longer blank in that spot. Heck, I often inadvertently bring up my OWN files or folders because I think I'm clicking on the scrollbar, but the cursor has drifted off to the right where I have several icons. It's really annoying.

I wonder when ALV, RG and Fonsie will begin to use Jodi Arias as an example of DV in their seminars? Maybe add THAT to their CVs, and delete Snow White.

ALV indeed has been using THIS CASE in her seminars, and in interviews . She lied to the court , imo, that she has been threatened and remains in fear for her life, literally, and she simply cannot emotionally, physically endure any more public ties to the #JodiArias case. Therefore, she cannot testify again.

The trouble is.........she is out giving public speeches, and interviews ABOUT THE JODI ARIAS CASE. In them she makes overt claims of prosecutor misconduct, and that is me being overly generous in my characterization of what she opines.

She is not afraid to be publicly tied to this case. She overtly seeks limelight about it, advertises talks she gives on it on her website.

Nurmi, Wilmott and Aylce LaViolette are lying to court on her fear factor. It is egregious.

Also she has on her CV, not only that she testified for days and days but that she "worked with defense team to build the defense" which is NOT HER ROLE. She is to do independent evaluation. If as and when she ever testifies again , that prosecutor will show her bias quoting , as Juan did, from her very own CV

I guess everyone still despises her the worst because folks keep sending me everything she does. I bet if I google Jodi Arias' other experts I will find them boasting of their work on this trial too especially Maria. If one is judging based on results, Maria did manage to keep Jodi Arias off death row so far. On paper she would appear to have done an excellent job, indeed. Scary, considering what we know about Maria Delarosa
