IMO, you're probably right. Frankly, I was hoping Det. Smith would have more to offer because, IMO, the PT might have teased out some more damning evidence (about JA) from her broken hard drive. More lies and intrusive behaviors, proof of “fraudulent” emails “from TA” (written by JA), … maybe even evidence she DID plant *advertiser censored*.

What caught my eye were tweets during JM’s cross of Det. Smith:

I know her external drive was wiped clean and her laptop drive was busted, but a contracting company WAS able to restore some of the data from the busted laptop IIRC. Why would Det Smith be doing further analysis of JA's drive if it were not to gain more proof of her lies and manipulations?

From BK notes, the prosecutor also indicated he had a few questions for Dworkin about the Helio phone.

Technically, if it's true as has been posted, that he uses a smart pen, then he is recording -- his own handwriting that is -- for importation/transmission to another electronic device.

But if that's all he's using then he's not likely recording anything else and would therefore not be in violation of JSKS' order to preserve her media/recording brownout.

IF he was recording, he wouldn't get so many things wrong. Just Sayin'.

2) Allocution (sic?) where she will spew her (actual) mitigation factors which might include one sentence of how she wished his family and friends weren't feeling bad because she murdered Travis.

IIRC, the judge said JA must answer the three questions and the SC upheld the COA. JA must answer them in court I believe.

Wouldn't it be great if JSS said JA must get on the stand and answer those 3 questions after Dworkin testifies tomorrow? There would be time if the DT's other (gag) witnesses aren't available. I really, really hope this happens.

I think everything has been countered! At least to the best that it can be without "cutting your nose off to spite your face". JM has use the DT own witness to prove everything to be a lie or exaggerated beyond reason. and now he is going to use their own expert against them. What are they going to do, try to impeach their own expert? Think about it they have their hands tied. It is time to close and I believe JM has succeeded in restoring TA character and I believe the jury knows the truth now. I do dread more days of the DT next witness' but I think they know now that they will only do more harm than good if they keep going down the dead end road! Time to end this show!!!

The whole thing is ridiculous, IMO.

People have a right to express their opinions, whether we like them or not.

Nurmi wasn't trying to press any kind of charges that I could see...he just wanted to push his hefty weight around and have them removed from the courtroom. I loved that JSS said wait until after court, we aren't keeping the jury waiting for this.

Then Sherry should have told Nurmi as much!

Juan told the judge today, per BK's tweets, that he would LIMIT his questions of Dworkin and he told her he would limit his questions to Smith also and he did.

Wow! Where did you get this confirmation? I believe it, but haven't seen it verified.

There wasn't any testimony linking JA to the attack on T's computer.

The testimony:

1. On May 27 at 23:35 pm T's computer posted a pop up warning that an an internet attack had been detected. Unclear if the popup was caused by a virus or a virus detector.

2. At 23:50 Internet Explorer stopped working.

3. Travis installed Spybot at 23:53 and ran it.

End of related testimony. (Interesting note: Brown has list of the last 25 URL's searched by Travis. That none were *advertiser censored* is all he testified to.)

Thanks! Trial by Tweet is awful. WHICH disks? What were the questions? Did they say? Or did the Twitter reporters just not type it out?

No indication via Tweets. But there are, IIRC, 1) TA's drive (and it wasn't TA's drive Det Smith was working on earlier in the case; he later turned his attention to TA's drive); 2) JA's external drive (wiped clean, according to testimony during P0rngate); and JA's laptop drive (which was damaged). IMO, the drive Det SMith was analyzing earlier in the case HAD to be JA's broken laptop drive.

During the tweeted testimony I noted, Det Smith was explaining why he was a "little late to the party" re: analyzing TA's drive and being interviewed by the DT.

You know, at this point, will that really make a difference? I have been following this trial from the beginning and at this point even I don't remember exactly what has been testified to, since the early stages of this retrial, imagine how the jurors are feeling.

I think time is of the essence at this point and i really believe that Juan must think this too. This has gone on waaaay too long. Those questions the other day were disconcerting, to say the least, I think Juan is making important, relevant points and wants it to now get in the hands of the 12 people who will decide... before that is too late.

Whatever it was, that prompted the individual questioning of the jurors and wether or not that was a factor- we may never know- but he has done his job and it is time for this to end.

Jodi Ann has already been convicted of first degree, premeditated murder, with specialty circumstances, I think Juan knows the longer he goes, the more witnesses he brings in, the more convoluted it could become. This jury is probably hanging by a thread- time wise.

I think the individual questioning may have had to do with who could actually hang in there- realistically- for another month or so. If this ends because the jury pool dwindles to less than 12, what will any of this have been for?

Naught- that's what- and I really, really believe this has been the aim of the defense- all along.

Juan wants to actually have a shot at the death penalty- if this drags on he almost positively won't even get that chance.

We must have faith- he knows what he is doing- it is what it is.

I just want to see it get to the jury. I want her GONE- her defense team, her mitigation specialist and her private eyes.

Who knows what that 'new' PI is digging for now? We can sure guess... I want this OVER, I bet Travis family does too...

Ok Frigga, maybe all of you are correct. Thing is, Juan can go through several witnesses in one day. It doesn't have to be dragged out. (You might be getting him confused with Nurmi.haha). Seriously, Nurmi would take a whole day for every witness Juan put on the stand.

What I am reading tonight is that everyone is tired. So maybe nothing will make a difference. If that's the case, don't bring Dworkin in, shouldn't have brought in Smith. Just close it down.

See I don't speak Spanish although I have quite a few Hispanic friends who do and they sing this song quite a lot. I love to hear them sing it. I have also heard it in very nice restaurants when they come around to the table to sing.

I never even knew the translation and never really cared. I just like the song and music, period. It seems if it was racist at all then they wouldn't sing it.

I don't see how they could call it racist. UNLESS Nurmi or Willmott think De la Rosa looks or acts like a cockroach?

Ok I got it wrong, I think. Nurmi was objecting to Jodi's comments about why she wasn't testifying.

So now I'm wondering: were these regular juror questions or were they jurors who were just wondering why Jodi wasn't testifying anymore and if/when she'd be back?

Why? What could be so damning by her reasons? This gets more crazy every day.

Release the in chambers meeting- that should NEVER HAVE BEEN IN CHAMBERS to begin with- it should have been stated in open court for God sake.

Really, the President of the United States didn't get this kind of secret protection during his impeachment.

Jodi really does believe she IS something special and different and JSS has bolstered her delusion.
