Can you expound on What this means
AZLawyer already explained it. Apparently Jodi or someone else on her side like Fibber McGee tried too late to submit some more BS, and at this point, the judge isn't even going to look at it. She just put it under seal.

Surely at least one juror is aware and will inform the others that no woman has been executed in AZ in over 80 yrs, i.e. "death penalty" for JA will mean she will be segregated from the general population and spend her days alone or in the company of a select few (3 iirc) of her fellow murderesses. Given that, the harder decision for me would be whether giving JA LWOP might result in the death of an innocent inmate/employee at Perryville who she "devalued" enough to kill in the future. I wouldn't be willing to be responsible for that, when isolating her on death row is both appropriate and available.

Would someone be kind enough to update me on Jodi's hissy fit. Am still at work and having to sneak in when FD is distracted or in the prep room.

She tried to argue in open court with JSS that allocuting wasn't the same as testifying, therefore she should get to do it in private. JSS refused and Jodi refused to allocate.

Yes. On the other hand, they could unanimously decide that this woman is cray cray. Without labelling PTSD, Bi-Polar, or Borderline, they could feel that she has to be suffering from some mental disorder that accounts for all her despicable behaviours, and vote LWOP. Either way, I think they will recognise that she is dangerous.

Nosey- perfect quote by Flores for the occasion. :)

95 candles for Travis now. Soon..... Justice will Prevail.

I certainly hope not. They are supposed to only take into consideration what has been presented on the record in court. I think that is why JSS made sure that Jodi understood that allocution was her chance to present any mitigating factors to the jurors, to show remorse, to beg for mercy, to explain the crime etc. jodi even had a chance to confer quietly with her attorneys at the table before answering the question, and she still said that it did not change her decision to forgo allocution. I think Jodi wants to sleep on it and will allocute tomorrow.

edited to add that maybe she won't allocute tomorrow as the media presence will be in full force. Then again, maybe she likes the power and control to have the most amount of media she can escorted to the overflow room, who knows?

Thanks all. I just managed to get caught up. It's been great posting with everyone. I'm not sure what I feel right now. Meloncholy? Thoughts and Prayers for the Alexander Family. Sigh..... I cant believe we are almost there.

Could we have a verdict by the end of the week?

I have seen trial case on dateline etc, where the jury came back and voted for death within 3 hours.
So who knows.
I hope it over this week.

Daisydomino.. Who came close to guessing the final date of trial?

In the near future, as JA sits in alone in her cell (maybe on death row) reliving the last few years of her celebrity days in the media & at court, I hope she suddenly realizes that MDLR's BFF act might not have been as important as doing her real job and finding some mitigation. That maybe the fond memories of all the handholding, dressing in the same color like jr. high girls, giggling over tweets, etc. just don't mean a thing now...

I think that when I hear that, if I could do – I wish so badly that I could just take that away from them, and that I could reverse what I did, and that I could take away what all these people are feeling that I have hurt including Travis.

Note: This is the ONE sentence that best comprises JA's so-called remorse from her thestiphoney.

Travis family

The murder and the grief it caused

I do so hope that after the verdict comes down, at least one juror or alternate would tell us about JA's tone of voice, tears, anguish, etc. as she made such an "emotional" statement.

Nurmi opening statement included JA, "this mentally ill woman", being "diagnosed with BPD and PTSD".

No doubt they'll mention that whether you think BPD means Bi-polar Disorder or Borderline Personality Disorder or bronchopulmonary dysplasia, then she suffered from it and you have to consider it as a mitigator.

Genuinely looking forward to tomorrow, and to being here to share the end. I don't know how anyone can follow a trial like this without the company, discussion, and support of a place like here and folks like all of you. :)

With that secret letter from the secret witness's secret mom coming in today, it seems pretty clear they're going to go all-in on child *advertiser censored* coupled with the Mormon conspiracy to try to sacrifice the true victim in all this.

I am afraid that you are spot on here. I think they will go all in with the stupid defense they have been dragging us all through already. I really hope the jury sees through it all. I just cannot believe that any of them are buying the pedo nonsense. And all that is left is 'T-dawg', which is nothing really. That is just normal single young man behavior, trying to chat up women online. I am sure 90% of the jury has done the same thing.

I have to admit that I am shocked that they rested today though. I think they needed something more to try and rebut Juan's very damaging case against their silly mitigation list. Amazing to me that they gave up and rested.
