AZlawyer: I was just wondering, we've had 2 VIS from Stephen & Tanisha. Can we have another one from Samantha, at the end of the retrial? Seems like it would be a good point for Juan to end on, if he's allowed to do so?

This might be silly too but that's a good point. She never wore it in a pony on the stand.

You know why a ponytail? To make herself look like a young girl. A ponytail is a young girl's hairstyle generally, unless it's really hot out. It could've still been her testifying, just off the stand when they walked in.

If they hang this time she has two options. 1) 25 years to life with the possibility of parole or 2) LWOP.

Killer will never be released, not ever. Even if she gets the option of parole, she will never earn the right. The write-ups for infractions at Estrella since conviction show that she will not obey rules. Even if parole were reinstated in AZ, this killer is one who will never qualify. She is going away for the rest of her life, IMO.

Thanks Zuri!

Sharon Rocha & Ron Grantski have said in interviews they think about Lacy & Connor and do not put their energy on the killer. I believe them. I hope the Alexanders will someday be able to spend their energy on Travis, Travis' memory, Travis' good deeds and not have to worry about Travis' killer. I really hope it happens for them.

I can imagine that. I've never lost anyone to murder, but I imagine if I did I'd make that same decision to not give anymore time and effort to the killer because that's exactly what they want. But I can imagine, every once in a while, the thought popping into my head, "I hope life really sucks for them right now..." But I realize not everyone will think this way.

The time for VIS is over. Juan does not get to decide when those are done. The number is required to be limited to avoid repetition, so Juan very likely told the family "pick 2 people."

Ah bugger. Thanks. I was hoping he could 'reserve' one until the end for maximum impact. No worries. I think the VIS damage has already been done.

Oooh they are going for the mentally ill young girl look, complete with the padded white shirt look and glasses to match!
Bet she'll have braids next time she testifies!!

'Mentally ill', my hiney. I've got a potplant in my flat that's more 'mentally ill' than Jodi Arias.

Not sure, but I think the Defense gives the final summation/last word. ???

If an attempted presidential assassin and the Lockerbie bomber could be released I believe that anything is possible.

It's funny to me when I talk to my husband who in no way is following the case about the happenings and he basically says exactly what everyone here has been saying, because it's totally common friggin sense. I told him about the hearing today and the Ct of Appeals granting the motion for a stay of secret testimony. He asked me why they want to seal everything off and I said because the witnesses say they feel threatened. He said, "Jodi arias isn't exactly the mafia. That's the only time I'd think that would happen."

I tell you - I've been an avid Bundy-phile for many, many years - and I see a lot of similarity here.

DISCLAIMER - I'm NOT claiming Jodi Arias is the equivalent of Ted Bundy (although, in my opinion, if you kill one human you kill them all...), but I'm talking in terms of psychopathic/sociopathic behaviour...

Bundy LOVED to talk. It was his weapon. He was charismatic, engaging. "Talk to them long enough, I will get them on my side". That was his motto. Even in the face of overwhelming evidence - he thought he could talk his way out of it. He ONLY confessed with literally faced with the spectre of the electric chair. THEN he started bargaining. NOT remorse: Bargaining. "Give me more time, I will tell you about more bodies". And he held court in prison until the very end.

I see a lot of similarities between Bundy (a rare stone-cold psychopath) and Arias. NOT in terms of crimes - just to be clear - but in terms of behaviours. Talk talk talk, manipulate, make everyone dance to your tune till the very bitter end. Never relinquish the spotlight. Bloody hell... FINISH HER!!

Thank you, gerard, You've voiced my sentiments perfectly. And so happy you joined us, and too, for giving me the options of Bollocks and Diddums , much nicer than the, ahemmm, less acceptable expletives I am otherwise left with. ;) Who knows, maybe I can even teach them to my husband. :) :welcome:
