Sometimes I pull back and imagine these same arguments if it was a man on trial for killing a woman just like this. Imagine an "expert" like this arguing that the man who did the slaughtering was somehow the "victim" of the woman he killed who's had an admittedly abusive childhood.

It just would never fly. It's astounding how sexist these sex "experts" are. And they are women.

All of this Hughes email testimony fries me a new face. Travis never rejected Deanna. They were together for a long time. They became intimate sexually and thought better of it in light of their religion, went to the bishop and the relationship underwent a serious change in all of its aspects. Deanna took up religious obligations. They were not, either one of them, then sure about marriage. All of this has been a hideous distortion.

All this is going to prove is despite the abuse and neglect, Travis grew into a productive member of society, with no leanings toward any criminal behaviour whatsoever. Unlike his killer, who did not suffer any abuse (wooden spoons don't count) or neglect at the hands of her family and was just a rotten apple from the time she was a child. Nature versus nurture doesn't apply here. :moo:

This will be over soon, thank God. This revictimizing stuff....it's just absolutely obscene that we as a culture seem to find this ok in some sort of "quest for the Truth". We are laughingstocks of other countries witnessing this atrocity I fear and we deserve it.
