You would think he would have more important things on his mind, like a missing daughter? If his mind isn't on finding Hayleigh, he must already know where she is, and is now concerned with covering his *ss.

Why make such a spectacle about it? Why not do it in private?

Maybe he is also afraid of charges due to her age. :behindbar

I'm always suspicious of people that make plans for their future, when time should be standing still. At this point in time, most people would have a hard time putting one foot in front of the other, just to make it through the day. Let alone ask someone to marry them and plan on buying a house.

Enough said, IMO, the state legislators, the courts and the people of Florida have decided that this is the LAW. They have every right and obligation to enforce it now. I certainly hope they do so, and as quickly as possible. I have seen this girl, listened to her speak, watched her behavior. Not only do I believe she is not mature enough to make such a decision, I am not at all sure she is in possession of the mental facilities to make ANY decision for herself.

Exactly! And that's why I just don't understand them. With each passing day, I'd be sicker and sicker in my heart, not knowing if my daughter was still alive and being tortured, raped, or what ... OR if she is now dead, laying somewhere ... and I may have to face that, without even being able to have a funeral yet.

Sorry, I still say ... there is NO way, I'd be celebrating and planning a wedding.

Most parents would want to be with their childs stuff and her memories in a time like this. Guilty people however, don't want to be reminded that they did something wrong! BIG RED FLAG!!! I personally think they are already married. In the pictures were he is showing the tattoo he has a wedding band on. In the original pictures the first few weeks he does not have a wedding band on.

Hey, I noticed that too in the video, was surprised nobody was posting about, they showed practically a close up of his hand with the gold band on the ring finger!!

It is the correct tense. "Wanted since they got together" meaning she wanted it all along not that it puts Haleigh in the past tense. You wouldn't say, "Haleigh wants it since we got together."

She does have a record- shoplifting and some drunk and disorderlies for the most part.

And she is with Misty's dad- off and on.

Let's not go getting it twisted. "The world" is hardly "going after" these two nor is it these two starcrossed lovers "against the world" simply because they are getting married. They could have done that w/out a child going missing. An emancipation no more makes a fit caregiver or parent, than a Justice of the Peace can make them all a "real" family nor a safe and stable situation for Haleigh and Jr. And *I* see this as solely a "step" to convince LE, and DCS otherwise.
