I totally agree. That statement was beyond ridiculous.

I lived in Columbia at the time. SC was still going through a major drought, moreso inland of course but at any rate the number of gator in and around Columbia increased substantially while I was there. The gator were desperate to get to water. I saw them along the banks of the canal in town, and waterways around there.

Lived in McC his whole life and has never seen a gator? They're up and down that coast, lots around Lake Marion inland, etc. Where's Judge Judy to call him on this?

“Number one, it’s literally impossible, he has one arm, to abduct someone from myrtle beach, bring them to McClellanville, kill this person, rape them, and then feed them to alligators. That’s a challenge. Number two, he was 16-years-old at the time that this abduction took place in 2009. Our records show he was in class at a school."

Well going by accounts from multiple people that she was getting gang raped, I would have to wager a guess that he had help.

How can anyone be supporting this loser?

Poor Brittanee and her poor family.

it burns my !#$@ that they are calling out racisim on this , there are some of us who have had real situations and hes a convicted who shot another African American and has the nerve to use the race issue , the irony is too much

JMO
How ridiculous all 3 of the things they brought up. Here is how I feel about the 3 things.

1-We had a disabled person in a wheelchair at our highschool where I went to school and he was the biggest dealer of the school at the time.

2-Very easy to go to school and have roll call taken in home period and then skip the rest of the days classes after that first period. In fact that was how most skipped school days occurred for people skipping school. They usually went to at least a class or two. Most of the time they went up till lunch break and then never coming back after lunch.

3-Of course nobody there knew who she was. She was on a vacation of her own and was on one of her last days in town. I suspect the abductor who pulled up alongside her had friend(s) in the car as they snatched her off the street. Or talked her into going for a joyride to smoke a J or something. Little did she know she would not get to ever go home again. :(

So those 3 things are totally worthless what they mentioned.

Apologies if it's a re-post, but this was sent to me via google alerts. Interesting.

OMG, this is really taking the opportunity to play the race card. Makes my blood boil. How about the probability that black men most likely are responsible for the kidnapping, rape, torture and brutal murder of a very young, defenseless white girl? Her life held no value at all. Think about it.

I am really furious!!! I know what racisim is and this is not it Grrrrrr, Ive been on the reciving side many times ....this pig has not I cant even type, bet 100% they wont print my comment

So let me get this straight...

Soon after Brittanee Drexel goes missing, Myrtle Beach PD, the sheriff’s departments of no fewer than three South Carolina counties (Horry, Georgetown and Charleston), and, eventually, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED), conspire to place blame on a black man, despite the case quickly becoming highly publicized and knowing everything they do will be heavily scrutinized if the case goes to court. Instead of pinning it on some known black sex offender or other known violent criminal in the area, these racist geniuses choose a random, innocent, one-armed 16yo from the swamp, who up to that point hadn’t (as far as I can tell) committed any substantial crimes (because that’s an easy conviction). Then, when they find themselves short on physical evidence, they somehow convince the FBI and DOJ (during the Obama administration no less) to participate in this unfair persecution of an innocent random black kid who keeps failing polygraph tests because he’s nervous?

Ummm....no.

Gee, they suddenly sound worried and kind of panicky over timothy being incriminated in this almost decade old cold case. Maybe something has been uncovered that seriously incriminates him, otherwise I can't see why they would bother doing this suddenly, RIGHT NOW.

I hope the police are getting ready to make an arrest. It sounds like they may have found something.

No decent person is advocating for this murdering delinquent.

If he gets charged with a crime in relation to Britanee, the probability of him being convicted is incredibly high. That's why they're flailing around.

Also, if the police were planning to "fabricate" a case against this kid to frame him, they would have charged him over a year ago when the information pointing in his direction first came out. It's the fact that they were looking for actual evidence and respecting his rights that took them so long.

I hope you are correct and this case gets rolling again. Saturday is the next march for TDT. They have played the cards we are so familiar with, but the fact is the judge ruled out double jepeordy. They are playing for the sympathy of a reduced sentencing, or time served, or just getting nothing, I hope that justice is served and he decides to sing like a bird. I have always said, he can't handled prison time. he should have to do the time at least for the robbery. I do beleive that 3 counties of police investigation wouldn't just frame this guy, if they wanted to just get it over they would have pinned it on a convicted sex offender and been done. my beleive is they have more evidence than we know about, but the police are looking at something much bigger that they want to take down and T is the weak link where they start. IMO!

first of all I'm laughing about the "flailing around " I needed that!
And Tiger I think you are right , I really think there is more they are looking at and I think they are all comfortable because RT was never convicted although I would really like a clear reason WHY Shannon's murder was never really solved and RT walked even though there were witnesses that gave their statements, so that part scares me, there are so many random kidnappings in SC I wonder too if we should look at GA too given RT now lives there!

Please post "random kidnappings in SC" statistics. Thank you

I realize this. I live very close to Myrtle Beach and have followed this case since she was first reported missing. I was just venting about the"race card" being used.
