Found Deceased SC - Brittanee Drexel, 17, Myrtle Beach, 25 April 2009 - #5

You wonder though, where is she getting the money to eat, clothe herself, etc? And if she's out riding around in limos and partying, she's obviously not laying low, so why aren't there more sightings? If she's out and about using a fake name or not, I'd think she would have been "caught" a long time ago.

Maybe not though. In my opinion, the main pictures they use for the news look different from the way she looked in JO's facebook pictures. She does seem to change her look a lot which could make it easy for her to get away.

I just think that if I saw the one picture of her with the ponytail & bangs, and then saw her at MB looking like she did in the FB beach pictures, I probably wouldn't recognize her as the same person.

Well i have some experience in this..... I was a runaway and i ran away 3 times. The first time i was 14 and i was gone for 2 weeks until the police found me and brought me home. I stayed at my bf house and his family took care of me.

The 2nd time i ran away i was 16.. i was gone only a few hours. My bf's best friend's sister made me call home and tell my mother where i was and that i was okay. Well i did that and my mom cried and i felt horrible so i called my sister and she picked me up and i went home.

But only a couple months later after i turned 17 .. I turned around and left again. This time I did not call home know my mom would make me feel bad... and i did not want to go back. So i never called her. Obviously, she knew where i was.. and about two weeks later she sent my uncle there after me trying to bribe me to come live with him. He told me that my mom had called the police, and an attorney and they told her that there was nothing they could do to bring me home .. so long as i was NOT living out on the streets and i was not.

Anyways, I left home with nothing.. my bf picked me up from school. He had a job and he took care of me and the stuff i needed.

The fact that "if" she is a runaway and out there partying and in the open. There is a big chance that she may have died her hair or changed the style of it. And she might be seen a lot but no one is really looking at her except for those few that have made the calls about her.

Also someone claiming to know a really good friend of BD on FB says that BD had a myspace that she deleted the day before she left for MB. I think LE needs to go thru her computer and see what she had been doing online... it may lead them to clues.

And maybe this is why her friends are not very concerned they know she is safe.

If she is on the run and her decision, she could have avoided the street cam by going behind the hotel and walking the beach to whereever her destination may have been that night.

Was she aware of the street cams, cause to be honest I didn't know about it, not that it would bother me either way. Although I think it is great that they have them. I may have heard of them , but not taken it in to the long term memory.

If she did in fact have an account that she deleted the day before she left, this would be able to be found on her hard drive. You can erase and delete all you want but it is still available to a forensic specialist (computer).

Well hopefully, if she is a runaway, the people of MB who are still keeping a lookout for her are like you and could point out her distinctive face! I really hope she is still out there somewhere safe.

I'm guessing though, that the girl who said she had pictures of BD on her computer had the wrong girl. It just seems like it we would have heard about it by now and BD's mom would know about it for sure and most likely wouldn't be returning home if that was the case. Maybe I'm wrong though!

I agree, she does have a distinctive face. I think that some of us here would recognize her if we saw her, regardless of how her hair/makeup was done.

However, we are *actively* looking for her. We know her case and desperately want her to come home safe.

There are countless other people out there though that are not as involved, and I think that if they saw her missing persons poster, and then her even just a few minutes later, a slight change in hairstyle might be all that's needed to prevent her from being recognized.

I hope she is out there safe too, and I hope she comes home soon for her family's sake, or at least calls them to tell them that she is ok.

I too think it is strange that we haven't heard anything since. Hopefully they verified that it is her and they're searching above and beyond to find her right now.

I thought of this too, and I don't disgard it as a possibility. Knowing that she was doing modeling too.

I wonder if the person from Florence ever turned over the pics that she claimed to have? I may have to call and find out the status of that one.

Also, this Dr. Piercing and Dr. Ink Limo, well I heard a commercial for it on the radio tonight. They will come pick you up and drive you around.

The reporter for Channel 15 news emailed me back and said that the stalker articles were the first lead investigated into Brittanee's disappearance but with no results.

Okay, I just thought of something.

I remember reading on Kaylee's myyearbook site that she is a dancer at a night club.

Alright, so ... someone claims to have seen Brittanee at a club getting out of a limo with some other girls. Well, her & Kaylee are best friends and you know how a lot of best friends are a lot alike, maybe Brittanee couldn't work at a club in NY being 17 ... she was having problems at home, ran away and easily got a job down at MB dancing at a club or something. I haven't gotten the girls out of my mind that she went with, I still believe they know something which is the reason for the attitudes they had towards this situation.

It's just a thought. I'm still trying to hang on to the fact that she is okay and out there somewhere. Maybe she doesn't want to be found.

She was also close to her grandparents and I can't imagine that she would keep up that charade, knowing that her grandparents were out there looking for her. She may be mad enough at her mom and dad to make them suffer but not her grandparents. This scenario really only works for me if she had a psychological break from reality.

I think she has a fairly distinctive face, but I think it's about to become even harder to pick out a face in the crowd around there - a great deal of the high schools in NC are graduating this weekend, and tons and tons of kids are about to descend upon Myrtle Beach. If Brittanee is a runaway and just wants to blend in, she couldn't find a better place to do so. The lull in the season between spring break and graduation would have been the best opportunity to notice her around town, I'm afraid.

Hi, I am new here and there is a friend added on June 3 to this Briittanee yearbook site. Can this be traced by IP addess as to a location? Of course I am NOT technical but thought about this and also felt if the IP is dynamic then this may not be of any help. Just a thought? Thanks for reading. I really hope so...I keep going back and forth between something happening to her & her being a runaway.

The reasons I don't believe she is a runaway is for one, because she left pretty much all of her things. She was in the middle of texting her boyfriend (and apparently John H.) and if she was planning on running away, what would make her just instantly stop texting and decide THAT was the moment to "disappear" ... you know? It makes me think that something did happen to her.

And then I'm sitting here thinking, if something horrible did happen to her, it seems like they would have found her by now. But I guess it doesn't always happen that way...I know it's taken years, if ever to find others in other cases. I'm still curious about the cellphone pings. :/

There's just so many different ways to look at this situation. Peter has his ties to clubs and that's why I was thinking maybe she got a job dancing at one and she's making her money & surviving like that. (Like I said a few posts up, her best friend has it on her myyearbook page that she is a dancer at a night club. Maybe she saw how much money her friend makes and knew she could make it doing the same thing.) I know she's underage, but stuff like that happens all the time. Then you got the girls she went with, who didn't seem to really care that their "friend" went missing, which makes me feel like they know something ~ maybe that she did runaway. It's possible she just road with them to get out of state and MAAAYBE that's why they left her things in the hotel when they switched because maybe that was the night Brittanee was going to take off...? Ahh! This is so frustrating.

I have so many other ideas going through my brain but it's getting late and I better crash before I keep rambling even more. I'm sorry if I sound absolutely ridiculous, I'm just trying to open my mind to every which way possible because all of you know...this is very frustrating! Sleeptight.

You have to keep an open mind, because it is hard to say what has happened. It seems a few of these girls she was hanging with are dancers looking at the yearbook accounts.

I'm about ready to throw my hands up with this one.

Even more strange, the "friend" she added on June 3 was someone with the initials PB from Killeen, TX. This one needs to be looked into. The page has comments dating from 5-22-09 at 12:52 pm. Either she is naive and didn't realize this would be found, or some sicko made a page and is pretending atm.
