Has anyone ever given thought that maybe the killer/kidnappers worked at the hotel she was last seen leaving? I have always maintained my opinion that this young girl was a victim of the sex slavery trade. There are many foreign workers in these hotels. I was in Myrtle Beach this past summer, sometime around the end of July, and I noticed many of the staff were not from this country. Given this happened during Spring Break, it really seems to me this was a perfect time for this crime. Many young high school/college age women to pick from. Could it be that Brittanee was transported down south to Florida and ultimately placed onto a ship bound for the carribean?

Another thing that struck me. I remember reading on here or somewhere else, something about this mysterious Club Kryptonite. The same club that I READ on another site employed a man by the first name of Ron (I think?) that was rumored to be involved in human trafficking and the mafia. Has anyone ever considered this to be odd that Brittanee somehow made it into this club, considering she was only 17 years old? How did she get inside being underage? And WHO let her inside? And is it possible that she met someone inside the club that also worked at her hotel that was involved in this human trafficking? Supposedly, she was in this club just the night before her disappearance. And WHY did this club supposedly refuse to provide any of their surveilance footage from inside the club to the police? At least that is what I've read.

I've been following this case since about July and this is the first time I've posted about it. I'm not expert. And no, I do not work for the police either. However, this case has always intrigued me. And I honestly believe these questions I've raised somehow point to what happened to this poor girl. It is possible her friends - Peter Broswick, etc...do in fact know something. However, they may be in fear of their own lives if they tell what they THINK happened. It is possible that it started in this club. Maybe they met a drug runner/dealer that immediately took a liking to Brittanee. Maybe comments were made in that regard. And maybe Peter Broswick and friends were caught up in something related to this they could not get out of. Thus, they ran back home when they suspected these shady people did something to Brittanee. Maybe they feared their own lives?

Human remains found in Florence thought to be female

Human remains found Friday at the site of a Florence house under demolition are thought to be those of a woman, Florence County Coroner M.G. “Bubba” Matthews said.

The remains were found about 11a.m. by city workers demolishing a condemned property at 520 S. Charles St. near Walnut Street, Florence Police Chief Anson Shells said in an earlier report.

“We have reason to believe (the remains) are female,” Matthews said. “It’s still being investigating by the Florence Police Department.”

More remains were discovered during the excavation of the lot by Florence police investigators, Matthews said.

There is nothing to indicate the remains belong to more than one body, the coroner said. He will not speculate on how long the bones had been there.

“I’ve asked that (the remains) be locked and secured by Florence police in their evidence room until we can get more information on possible missing persons,” Matthews said.

Police investigators are working with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office to determine if the remains could be connected to any of that agency’s missing persons cases.

Investigators have not said what cases they are reviewing in connection with Friday’s discovery. They are approaching the investigation as a process of elimination, Matthews said.

If investigators locate a possible match, then a forensic bone specialist or a forensic dentist will be consulted.

Forensic specialists examine known medical records that contain dental information or information about orthopedic injuries someone was treated for in the past, Matthews said.

The Charles Street property is owned by a Marion woman who gave the city written permission to remove the home and clean up the property, Scotty Davis, Florence director of community services, said in a previous report.

The residence is one of 500 problematic properties the city has on a list to clean up.

Police had received reports of crime activity at the address, Florence Police Maj. Carlos Raines said in an earlier report.

Marc,

The Ron guy is the owner of a club in ROC and not Club K in MB.

Otherwise...your theory is a good one! IMO

By the way I saw on the Br. Dream website (not sure I can say this so abbreviated) that he had another dream that BD was found in Mt Pleasant N76 M10. Someone on there wrote that could be route 76 Mile marker 10.

There's a Rte 76, Summerton, Clarendon, South Carolina. It is not on the coast. Maybe a local can say how far away. It is located near I-95.

Don't know if 76 goes thru Mt. Pleasant or not.

ETA: Looking back at the map...Mt. Pleasant is SE of Summerton.

MBLover,

Well, I've tried my best to piece everything together that I have read for the last 6-7 months. And that includes every possible article and forum related to her disappearance. The theory I proposed is the only thing that makes sense to me. Unless of course, I'm missing on something. Just think how it all adds up

1.) The famous psychic hired by the family felt he obtained the greatest "hit" or "presence" when he and Dawn Drexel visited the hotel that Brittanee was last seen leaving.

This would make sense if my theory that a Hotel worker is involved.

2.) The last ping on Brittanee's cell phone was obtained roughly 30 minutes south from Myrtle Beach in a remote area of the National Forest.

This would make sense if Brittanee was being transported south towards Florida in route to a ship docked and awaiting her arrival to Latin America or the Carribean. This remote area could very well be the dropoff point where the kidnappers sold her to the next people involved in Human Trafficking. If you've ever watched the movie "Taken", I believe there was a man named Peter that served as the scout or marker. These scouts/markers could be who first kidnapped Brittanee and then sold her. And these scouts/markers could be working at the Hotel.

3.) The girls that Brittanee was staying with suddenly changed to another hotel the next day after she disappeared.

Now, this to me is a very telling sign. If her friends suspected something with a hotel worker, or even had problems with someone that worked there, this would explain the need to change hotels. Were they being stalked? Why else would they leave? Doesn't make much sense really. Especially considering their vacation was nearly over and they had to come home within the next day anyways.

4.) Peter Broswick and the male friends suddenly left the same night Brittanee disappeared - leaving behind several clothing and a $100 deposit.

Once again, this sounds suspicious to me. Considering Broswick was the last known person to have seen Brittanee alive, why would he be in such a hurry to leave as soon as she left his hotel room and disappeared? Could the boys have had a run in with the drug dealer/human trafficker that night in the same hotel room? Could this drug dealer/human trafficker have left the hotel with Brittanee? This could be the same new friend they met at Club Kryptonite. And this would explain why there were no witnesses outside the hotel that would have described a hostile situation if she were abducted in public view. I would say, she already knew her perpetrator. This man may have offered her a ride back to the hotel. The hotel in which he may be employed.

5.) Brittanee was only 17 years old. Yet, she somehow gained entrance into Club Kryptonite the night before she disappeared. It was also mentioned that Brittanee was seen on the beach the following day (same day she disappeared later that night) conversing with Peter Broswick and some buddies of his they met at Club Kryptonite the night before.

This also strikes me as odd. How did she get into the club being underage? Who let her in? And what were these kids planning during the day on the beach? Could it have been drug related? Possible hookup with Brittanee by one of the new guys they met? Maybe she liked this guy with the attention he gave her?

6.) Sunglasses resembling those seen on Brittanee in a photograph taken the day she disappeared were found in the same area her cell phone last gave off a 'ping'.

This would make sense if she were taken to a dropoff point for the next sex slave smuggler. She could've been taken there, raped and then exchanged. Or, maybe she got away for a brief time and tried to run once they got to the dropoff point - thus dropping the shades to the ground?

7.) Brittanee Drexel was 17 years old, blue eyes, thin/athletic build, blonde hair, 5 feet tall, 100 pounds. AND...she probably made it very known that she came to Myrtle Beach against her parents wishes. And thus, NOBODY knew she was there.

This is also a very important aspect of the case. From everything I've ever read about Human Trafficking, she is the poster child for the type of victim these smugglers target. Everything from her physical size, looks, etc. makes her ideal in this trade. A young, beautiful blonde hair, blue eyes, petite female. And, these smugglers knew that nobody would miss her for a few days if she were to disappear abruptly.

I'm sure, I can think of more reasons to help justify my theory. But, I think these are the main focal points.

Marc,

It was said in earlier forum posts that Peter B worked as a Club Promoter he is the person who got the kids into Club K. Also the club was an over/under club I think it was said it had sections where it was under age.

But wasn't PB from Rochester? Are you saying he had connections to Club K to begin with? If so, this really pieces my theory together even better. Now, we can truly connect the dots. This could mean that PB is involved with the Human Trafficking and gives him reason to skip town the night of the disappearance. It could also connect him to the hotel worker I theorized. Which could be the reason they were staying there to begin with. It could also be reason why he lured BD to his hotel room that night she came up missing. Maybe the smugglers were already in the room or waiting outside for her? It all makes even more sense. He got the girls inside Club K to meet the organized crime involved in this trade.

PB is a club promoter in Rochester...which I'm guessing gave him "entitlement" to get into clubs easier in MB?

PeterB promotes the VIP clubs; or members. His father also owns a small boating business

Hi guys, this is my first post here. I know I am jumping into the conversation here but Marc, I respectfully disagree with your theory.

Keep in mind, I cannot sit here and say that your theory is wrong. Nobody knows what happened to Britany Drexel. She very well may have been a victim of human trafficking. However, I don't believe that that is the case in this particular incident.

I am very familiar with Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and in particular the area in which she was last seen. My family had a time share at the Blue Water Resort and I vacationed there for 8 years in a row growing up. While I was in college, I was a lifeguard at Myrtle Beach and lived in a condo on 3rd Ave. North for 3 summers.

My point is that I am very familiar with Ocean Blvd. and the area and atmosphere in which Drexel was last seen. During my time in the area, and let me tell ya there were a many a nights that I walked home alone, I have seen so many vile things it would make your head spin. There are many many perverted homeless people roaming the streets at all hours of the night. There are out of town freaks that walk up and down the strip preying on young girls for sex and anything under the sun. Locals put up lawn chairs on hotel properties along the strip and sit for hours drinking and harassing girls passing by. Men drive up and down the strip stopping every 10 seconds asking girls if they want a ride.

And dont let me get into the drugs that is circulated out there and everything that entails that. In a nutshell, the place is an utter disaster zone. Britany Drexel was a beautiful young out of town girl that was in a place and an atmosphere that she never could have defended herself in.

In my opinion, she was abducted. I believe that she was coaxed into getting into a vehicle and then met her fate. I don't think she made it very far after exiting the lobby of the Blue Water Resort. Keep in mind that across the street from the building she left from were two 4 story villas that also belonged to the blue water resort. I am almost positive that those villas have surveillance videos capturing Ocean Blvd. Even though the strip is very dangerous the Blue Water staff really does keep a good eye on the property during the night hours. Bottomline: If she did walk further down the strip from the Resort, she didnt get far at all.

The signal from her cell pings suggests that she made a beeline from Myrtle Beach to Georgetown County which is directly south of Horry County. In fact, her last cell phone ping came in the area of the Santee river and a pair of prada sunglasses were found near the Santee River. Keep in mind that much of Georgetown County especially along the Santee River is remote. Nothing much is out that way but woods and open area. I strongly believe that she was murdered by her abductor and it really pains me to say that. I feel that she is in the Santee River or somewhere near there. Trust me when I say that there is enough ground and space out there to hide almost anything you could think of so its not an inconceivable notion.

And as far as all of her friends that went down there with her and the boys that she knew and met up with. I do think that it is strange that PB and his crew up and left when they did and her girl friends that she came down with acted shady as well. I just dont buy the fact that they are smart enough to be involved with BD's disappearance and then lie and cover it up. I saw PB on TV and interviewed several times, the boy just doesnt have the smarts to pull off such a cover up.

I also think that it is highly unlikely that someone would drive all the way out into the middle of nowhere in Georgetown County just to throw her cell phone somewhere to throw law enforcement off. The odds of that happening are very very small.

People also forget to take into account the ocean. It would be very easy and accessible to dispose of a body in the ocean, especially if someone had the means to do so.

Overall, I really do think she was confronted and abducted. I think she willingly went with someone or willingly got into a vehicle where she was later killed. Again, I dont mean to be so negative and I really do hope I'm wrong. I just know the area and the people that hang out out there and think that this is the most plausible thing that could have happened.

God Speed to her and her family!

No offense taken whatsoever. I enjoy reading contradicting theories to this case. It is the only way to find the truth to what exactly happened. Brainstorming and sharing ideas/thoughts is what is needed to finally crack this case. Please, share more theories if you have any.

I agree with you and that is why I said I think there making a big mistake not looking at camera's before she got to the hotel. Right after she went missing they were looking at the cameras after she left the hotel trying to catch someone grabbing her or her getting into a car. People are forgetting she had a long walk there, at any point in time she could have passed someone "hanging out" as you put it and they slowly started to follow her spotting a pretty girl. The person could have saw her go into the hotel and maybe hung out outside of the hotel for a bit looking for other girls. Remember she wasn't in the hotel long before she came back out. If you can spot her on other cameras along the way to the Blue Water with a guy in multiple shots behind her maybe you have something to go on. Will it solve the case? Probably not, but it could be something to go on.

Why was Mr. high roller Ferrari staying in a bad part of the strip? I can tell ya why he reacted the way he did was because of her age, the friends as well. Guys pretty much always date girls younger a year or so. When you hit 18 and the girl is under 18 the law starts to play with your mind. He never imagined he would be on CNN with them talking about him with a 17 year old.

I really wonder if anyone thought to look at other cameras outlining her walk to the BW.

I could almost buy into this theory except for one glaring fact....PB lawyering up the minute his feet hit the turf back in Rochester, not to mention his hasty departure in MB. I call BS on both!

That's a good point about the cameras if you are sure they didn't look at them. I know they did look at the cameras along Ocean Blvd when she left the Hotel and she was seen up until either 14th or 16th street south. That's either 4 or 6 blocks from where she left the hotel. That makes me think that none of the guys she had visited had anything to do with it. They would have had to have been seen exiting the hotel.

But as to your second point, she was of consenting age in New York and South Carolina so that wouldn't have been an issue.

I agree. I'll tell you another major possibility. It is very possible that she crossed the street on the other side of the strip and walked down one of the ally's. Those ally's are very dark and are filled with abandoned condo's and apartment buildings among other things.

I tend to think that she stayed on the strip considering the footage of her making it 4 to 6 blocks down the strip on her way back. If I were a betting man, I'd say she got picked up and coaxed to getting into a car. I have seen it a million times out there. Young girls getting whistled at or honked at by men riding down the strip only to get into the car with them, total strangers!

The Bar Harbor Hotel is on 1010 Ave. N. Ocean Blvd. and the Blue Water Resort is on 20th Ave. S. Ocean Blvd. Thats 21 blocks and a little over a mile long. You cant convince me that there isnt more camera footage of the area she walked. There are camera's galore out there from hotels and resorts casing there property. The Landmark Resort would have been the next notable resort she would have walked by on her way back to the Bar Harbor. If she would have walked past the Landmark, she def would have been on camera. The Landmark Resort is on 15th Ave. S. Ocean Blvd. I don't think she made it that far.

Anyway, I am intrigued by what camera's were functioning that night and how many were viewed by law enforcement.

Brittanee was captured on the street cams walking from BH to BWR. She was not captured on the street cams upon exiting BWR to go back to BH.

This is how LE knows that she went missing within 7 minutes of leaving BWR - because she didn't make it to the first street cam.

From street entrance of BWR to street entrance of BH it is exactly 1.2 miles (checked this on my last trip down).

Brittanee disappeared six weeks ago on Spring Break. The 17-year-old was last seen leaving a hotel in Myrtle Beach. Surveillance video captured Brittanee walking down the main strip.

However, police say she didn't get far. In fact, News 10NBC has learned police believe something happened to her within seven minutes of leaving that hotel. Police say there are several cameras further along the route she was walking, but Brittanee was never seen.
