Oh, my, I'm sure the folks in Cayce are concerned and probably a bit scared -- especially those with young children as you do. And I'm sure you're holding your boy a little closer since this happened. It's a hold-them-close time for all of you folks right now.
Since Cayce has about 12,000 citizens, I would imagine the city is probably a fairly close-knit bunch of folks and a friendly town to visit or to inhabit. I know it's close to Columbia and USC, so I would assume some folks in Cayce have to do with the university there.
My husband has relatives in SC -- around Georgetown, Florence and Andrews.
Are your fellow citizens alarmed and organizing searches, etc.?

Search continues for 6-year-old girl missing in South Carolina

Updated: 6:27 PM EST February 11, 2020

Swetlik was last seen around 3:44 p.m. Monday while playing in her front yard at Londonderry Lane in Cayce just off Highway 302 in the Churchill Heights neighborhood.

Snellgrove said the little girl's mother was home at the time of the disappearance. He said his investigators have spoken to the mother, the father, and the mother's boyfriend, and all are being cooperative.

When asked if there was evidence of an abduction, the chief said "not at this time, there doesn't appear to be."
