"A Virginia man is being held at J. Reuben Long Detention Center after Myrtle Beach police say he held a woman against her will and raped her at a hotel on Ocean Boulevard Saturday.

Jeremiah Ryan Hill, 31, is charged with Kidnapping, 1st Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct and Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime, according to the Myrtle Beach police report."

It might be worth taking a look at attempted car jackings in the vicinity, especially those concerning women...

I wonder if there is any damage to her vehicle (evidence of being bumped off the road?)

I never before focused on how large and thick are the wooded areas in SC. wowow.

Very challenging search area, a needle in a haystack.

I'm assuming LE is reviewing any and all surveillance footage available in the area, particularly at work to see if someone may have been eyeing her.

Who knows if she was just venting or talking or what this was about,
but two posts from her twitter account mention something to the effect of on May 14th she mentioned the cost of a one way ticket to Thailand,

and more recently on Sept. 3rd she basically says that she needs to go somewhere new because there's nothing for her in this town.

She's a young person, so these could mean nothing, or something.
IMOO.

I see these posts as well, but would she just leave her family like that, knowing they would be worried sick?

I hope this is the case. But I've got a really bad feeling on this one, especially since her car has been found and she appears to be so loved by her family.

Such a high crime area, ugh. Reminds me of the Terrilynn Monette case, and sifting through all the thousands of crimes in NO...

Given the location of the last cell tower ping, the location of where her vehicle was discovered, the highways and waterways and the nearby *road construction* .. this 'feels' like an abduct / dump situation. :facepalm:
