I had plans today, woke up in pain, it's rainy, and really, we have food, grocery shopping isn't critical. so I think I'll stay right here.

I'm hoping after bond is denied, one of them will realize there's no escape, may as we'll tell where she's at...

PS hubby gets frustrated when I'm stuck here and will ask me to please find Heather so I'll be available to clean and cook. even he calls her Heather... she's more than the communities daughter....

Here it is, in the heart of Dixie, it's St. Patricks's Day, and we have a lovely, snowy landscape out there. :banghead: The Federal Government is closed, all schools are closed, and the accidents are piling up on I-95. It's closed southbound. If I were going anywhere, I couldn't if I wanted to. It really doesn't matter to me. I'm retired, spend a lot of time on WS, and will be here for the bond hearing.

I'm sure the prosecutor's office is going to ask for a high bond, the defense attorneys for each will counter with why it isn't needed. I can't wait to hear the good things they will have to say about TM and SM.

One issue I would like to see discussed is that, if let out on bond, could they live under the same roof as they are co-conspirators. Would someone have to live with them as a people sitter?

Also, TM already posted bond on the early charges. Her parents just may post for her. However, would SM's family come in to back him up?

Oh, the possibilities!

I don't know how the jury pool is in Horry County, but I'm thinking it's gonna be very hard to find 24 unbiased jurors. Very hard.

I have posted about the Sifrits previously. Some of the details of the cases are eerily similar. Luring, holding victims against their will, murder and (almost) getting away with the disposal of Martha and Joshua's body parts, as well as other crimes committed in the same timeframe (burglary of Hooters - resulting in the discovery of their involvement in the double murder).

Benjamin and Erika Sifrit committed a double murder together in Ocean City, MD. Their separate trials were held in two different counties (outside Worcester Co. where the murders took place). Erika Sifrit received the harsher sentence even though LE/prosecution believed her husband, Benjamin, committed the murders. Erika Sifrit received life + 20 years, while Benjamin Sifrit received only 38 years. What they did to Martha Crutchley and Joshua Ford was torturous and heinous. Some of their body parts were found in a landfill. The idea that Benjamin will be released into society is a scary thought. Erika has a pending petition for a new trial.

You just never know what a jury might do. I hope SM & TM suffer Erika's punishment at the very least. :jail: :jail:

You all were obviously not around for the Casey Anthony case LOL! I don't think any of us did any work for months! HAHAHA This is normal! Well, normal for us at websleuths ;)

Floridamomma - my RA and Fibro are so flared up that I woke up at 4 am in pain and couldn't get back to sleep. I feel your pain! I just wish I had groceries, that has to happen or we're all going to starve here. I think it's pizza delivery tonight!

I'm just wondering if anyone can tell me if court transcripts are available to read on Websleuths when a case goes to trial? :please: Thank you in advance!

It depends. Some cases they are, it depends upon the state really. With Florida, thanks to their sunshine laws and a few websleuth members we were able to get them. California, nope! I hope we can get them!

When and if they are published in MSM, they'll be around here and well-discussed.

I woke up this morning, thinking about TM's transport. Are they taking her to Conway today or did they already do that yesterday? I assume they'll take her up Highway 701, which is a relief to me. The thought of her traveling anywhere near my stomping grounds, give me shivers. I have no idea why.

I have a great friend that had that implanted last year, once he healed and they got the settings right he has been good! He still has some bad days but no more everyday constantly pain. The recovery was not easy for him, but he's also a single full time dad with 3 kids.

Make a bunch of casseroles and freeze them if you can, also stuff that can go in a crockpot or one pot meals! It was a life saver for him! Also, make sure you get the card for going through security areas. You don't realize how many you go through on a normal basis! He didn't get his at first and ended up in a mall jail area for a few hours before it could be validated!

:blowkiss:

Hoppy - that's a lot of activity...not sure what all that means!

Wonder if TM will have to change her tune, saying she never "met" Heather, if the scientific evidence places them together, i.e mixed DNA etc...

So many criminals tell LE they never met, heard of, or were in contact with a victim, only to have to try to explain their DNA on victim, or in victim's home or car, etc...

from your link above:

Heather Elvis' case has been one that the community has followed closely, but after the court appearance Monday afternoon, it's possible we could hear very little about the next steps in the Heather Elvis case leading up to the trial. It's a new twist in the case: the Horry County Solicitor's office has filed for a gag order.

Happy St. Patrick's Day! May today be the first glimpse of justice for Heather, and allow SM & TM to face reality...that the tide is swiftly against them, and to do what's right...give up Heather's location so the Elvis family can begin to heal.

See you guys later on for the Bond hearing.

Amen sista!! my husband says if a marriage can survive a case on Websleuths, it is practically indestructible :floorlaugh:

I took my boys to school at 7 am, came home did 2 loads of laundry, cleaned up the breakfast dishes and got dinner started. I'm ready for this bond hearing!

I'm glad to read this, thank you. people tend to complain online, so I'm pretty nervous. already have several meals in the freezer, and today is The Day of Ground Beef. I'll cook & freeze all 20 lbs lol... I've already been told I'll get the card soon, and a temp card the day of surgery.
ETA: I'm trying to be positive, just think of all the websleuths time I'll have!

I can only imagine how fast this thread will move tomorrow. I just hope it will be slow at work tomorrow so I can keep up. It literally took me more than a week to catch up when the murder charges were announced.

ETA: I also wanted to mention that my boyfriend probably wishes I had never found Websleuths back in December. He used to be a pretty good listener until every other conversation began with "I read on Websleuths..." And now that I've started following the missing Malaysian flight thread, in addition to this one and the parking lot, I don't really have any time to even start a conversation, period.

Oh no! There is a thread for that?
Wish i didn't know that.
No work for me today. :tantrum:
