Maybe the pay phone so they weren't using SM phone. Maybe her plan was to use the pay phone to keep police from looking at them. Maybe Heather herself gave LE one of the biggest pieces they need by calling SM phone after the payphone calls went unanswered.

But I thought he had called her at least once that night from his phone? Calls between them on her bill, bringing SM to L.e's attention in the first place?

Anyway...with the trail they seemed to have left, it is almost hard to believe they thought about this much in advance at all. I mean they seemed to have made every mistake in the book, IMO.

The neighbor and business having their own security videos is just the icing on the cake!! I would 'think' if you had a system yourself, you would be concerned that others might have one as well. But...seems they didn't. Oh well, their loss, police's and Heather's gain!!

This is what I find interesting. The conversation with the roommate was brief. The contact with SM was brief. She spent more time on her own in her condo than she did talking with the person she was meeting, after being ups. fA that he came back into her life.

I also wonder about the timeline on the relationship. They were involved from June to October, but the roommate had said they had not been in touch since the month before her disappearance. So we don't really know what was going on between SM and Heather in regard to contacts.

And now, the date was not only confused about when he took her home, he doesn't remember/know that someone called her at 1:35 and they spoke for nearly 5 minutes? (I'm not calling the date's remarks into question) Or have they moved the timeline of the date drop off again?

I realize we don't have all the details, including what are supposedly social media PM's, but this timeline has always been really odd, and it's even stranger with the speed of light murder at PTL. Which I think may have been a grab and go, not a completed murder.

I know I read today that sm was "forthcoming" to LE about the texts messages that led to the exposure charges. I also read that sm admitted it was while having ugh relations with tm in his vehicle. So confusing but i guess they took pics during sex and sent them. So there are texts and texts times that were not revealed today. Right?

This 6 minute dash is so confusing to me. Grabbed quickly and subdued is the only explanation but that does go against LE saying the crime happened there. I thought she was lost in the river but now after hearing and seeing the actions/surroundings of these two .... there really is no telling. It's very disheartening to think of their many options but at least they are still in jail.

I found that intriguing too. By that night Heather thought SM still had a phone as she attempted to call it and at one point they did talk. He was home and she was home so it was either a landline on his end or his cell phone.

The pay phone is interesting... a ploy to get Heather to pick up her phone? A method to avoid detection from an investigation that would surely occur afterwards?

TM & SM really were stupid in so many ways. They each left a digital trail that led right to them. Texts, calls, Facebook postings, using their own vehicles and getting caught on video, their idiocy knows no bounds.

We did have the date saying awhile back that Heather did not use her phone during his date. That he knows about at least.

The quickness of the PTL stop by the Ms vehicle is pretty shocking. But Im still leaning towards murder and dump in river. When in a panic things can happen very rapidly and I can see where it could easily be done in 3 minutes.

Pull up, see her, shoot her, run her over, or hit her with steel pipe, and then trhow her in river and take off. Yeah, I can see it happening very quickly.
So I am not going to get on the grab her bandwagon. I just dont see either one of the Ms wanting to take her with them. JMO of course.

It was my thought about how I didn't think Heather would stand away from her car waiting on sm to show. It was so late at night, creepy place and chilly I reckoned. (I didn't think she would've been ran over because of this)

There has been a good deal of discussion about Heather's decision to go to PTL that morning, and with that comes speculation and opinion on how she felt and what might have motivated her. Based on her roommate's report of her being upset, people have had varying thoughts on where she was in her life and her feelings toward SM. But I think we all understand that our opinions about the mental and emotional state of any person involved is not fact, and that all we're doing is putting our heads together and guessing.

As it turns out, the roommate's perception may be no better than that of the rest of us - since she and Heather only talked for just over two minutes less than two hours before the murder likely happened.

This is a circumstantial case so far with no recovery of the victim. Everyone is doing some guessing at the end of the day.

I would hope that it takes more to get arrested and jailed in America than saying you had sex in a car. So, it makes sense that there is other evidence that meets the SC criteria for an IE charge. I guess we'll find out more as we go.

TM is such a liar, and I think SM lies by extension, so it's hard to say what's coming down the pike and how that will play out in discovery and at trial. But I try to strike a balance between some faith that LE is not stupid or holding an empty bag, while I refrain from assuming they have this wrapped up and the trial and desired verdict are details.

I think there is a very long road ahead and the M's attys are prepared to belt it out every inch of the way.

I think she must have had feelings for SM still, and also must have been convinced he had left TM, in order to agree to meet on that night (morning) at that time. He must have been very compelling on the phone, IMO.

I've tossed around a couple theories. One theory with SM lying, crying begging for HE to meet him that early morning because TM was going to harm HIM. JUST not sure HE would of bought that.
Second theory ....Heather ended an affair BUT COULD possibly go back to her lover if he said the things she needed to hear. Yes, SM could of been very compelling on the phone, saying sweet nothings to HE.

They said they have DNA from the home and property search. But it's still considered circumstantial. So would DNA from PTL be circumstantial, even if they found blood, a dropped personal item, or a piece of clothing. It's understood that she was there. So her DNA or other evidence of her presence doesn't equal murder. It just says that in addition to being there, there are other circumstantial elements that add to the greater circumstantial case being built.

I assumed DNA was solid physical evidence. Maybe it depends on particular DNA ? Idk
