Another thing that is odd to me is the cell phone activity cense pretty fast. If we assume she posted her last tumbler feed at 2 09 am and her phone activity cense at 3 am. Assuming she was home and posted the tumbler thing. That's pretty quick. So whomever did this had it planned out or was waiting for her wherever she went or possible at home.

Okay, maybe I'm being too simple-minded here, but it seems like the main reason one might go to a boat landing is to put a boat into or take it out of the water, or otherwise do something related to a boat.

So I'm wondering -- are there places in Myrtle Beach that you might want to go to by boat? I'm thinking of places like casinos, nightclubs on boats, that sort of thing?

Does South Carolina have a SBI or Myrtle Beach have a city/county bureau of investigation? (CCBI) If so, are they involved at all?

Good question. Here in Colorado, the CBI is involved in many cases.

In my neck of the woods, if you've drank too much to go by car, you often go by boat instead. You're less likely to get in trouble.

IIRC the "third" Tattoo was a multi-colored skull on her thigh (Someone here saw in a pic on SM?) which makes me think 4 tattoos, one on each side of the hip.

ETA: Also the turtle likely represents the Loggerhead. They're endangered and a huge part of local beach life.

The one thing I hope is that LE must've had some evidence screaming at them about what happened for them to release the car so quickly. If indeed, it wasn't processed.
There isn't any scenario I can come up with that if I was notified that my daughter's car was found sitting somewhere for days (as supposedly reported) that I wouldn't insist it be gone over with a fine tooth comb.

Is this something that HE did, leave her car places for significant periods of time? So much so that her parents weren't immediately alarmed?
This is the part that really troubles me.
An abandoned car didn't send out a red flag enough for them to report her missing so maybe it really wasn't processed??
Because she wasn't reported missing when they picked up her car. It was only after she didn't show up to work.

I realize I just talked all the way around this issue. But we clearly don't have much info at all so maybe some of this info is incorrect.
Ugh! I want to believe everything is being looked at closely to bring this girl home.

No. Some theories suggest that the perp drove her car there and left it. Just the walk down Peachtree Rd to 544 the perp would have to take if it was JUST HIM is like an hour with no sidewalks. it would make more sense that there were more than one and the driver of HE's car was followed and picked up after leaving the car at PTL.

This year alone, we have sleuthed one serial killer, and one indicted murderer of his spouse. Both were half marathon runners..
Imo, HE's vehicle was left there by her after being the victim of a sexual predator's ruse, or placed at PBL later as a deflection by the perp.
Folks exercise at all times of the day or night; jogging, cycling, or dog walking, and receive little notice by law enforcement..

If Heather Elvis was abducted by a stranger or slight acquaintance predator, which imo, with known info and indicators, she was. Sexual predators/serial killers are very creative, calculating, deflective, manipulative, and in most cases very intelligent. They seldom leave forensics or obvious clues, and are very skilled at leaving crime scenes that implicate others in their deviant crimes..

Imo, HE's abductor was aware that the clues, left in his wake weren't visibly obvious to the seasoned homicide investigator; 'love, rage, hatred, fear, evil'... because they can't be touched, seen, smelled, or heard..

I was thinking that as well. Unless her battery died, which I feel is highly unlikely since we believe she was in her apt. after her date, she would have have charged that baby up. These kids do NOT let their phones die. I feel this happened quickly and soon after the <confirmed> sighting around 2:00 a.m.. The 3:00 a.m. ping could have been caused by removing the battery - possible? I think HE went to "their place" to meet one more time, slid out of her car to sit in theirs and something went wrong. I only wish she is ok wherever she may be; but, have a very heavy heart thinking about it.

Did Heather live on a ground floor unit? If so, do we know if Heather usually entered via the front door, or the back door / patio? IIRC, the photos Ashley posted in thread 1 showed an open rear area behind her complex (looking for photos)

Also, I asked upstream if Heather had any pets, but haven't seen anything on this...

Wasn't there a conversation with the girlfriend at the time to or did that take place before

Seems that I remember where SLED is assisting in the HE investigation.. Not sure about the FBI.. If not, due to the 3 discoveries of skeletal remains, the FBI BAU2 will soon arrive in Myrtle Beach, SC, imo..

BBM. Agree she would have "charged that baby up" and I've witnessed younger friends decide the night is over when their cell phone has died.

3 I thought they only found two

I wonder, is LE searching mainly around where the car was found and if so, is this for a lack of any of clues?

I wonder how the cell reception is out there? It looks very wooded from the aerial maps. Could no cell reception make it appear as if it was turned off? That would allow for more time to have elapsed?
And would account for the reason HE didn't try to call a friend if she sensed things starting to go badly and this wasn't some type of accidental recreational overdose.

For those in the area, any chance Peachtree Rd and Peachtree Landing have street lights? Is it dark at night?

I don't know it just seems that if the phone was shut off that quick someone had to be in her condo with her. Unless she shut it off herself.

Just a thought, maybe the car at PTL is not a red herring after all. We know that sometimes perps like to keep a close eye on things. And, especially if this was some sort of crime of passion or spontaneous incident for which there was not much planning, it could be a quick and easy dump so to speak, a location on the forefront of one's consciousness (high familiarity). The perp(s) may not have wanted to drive the car too far, for fear of being pulled over or caught on any cameras. And it might not be too far to get home from there.

I remember in Jessica's case, I used to say "he's so close I can smell him". And he was. I even saw him on the street when I was scoping out the locations a day and a half before he was arrested (everyone else was "locked inside in fear", and he was the only person on the street. (I saw him, and I said, "Nah, can't be him, too young...")

O/T, but just want to say I went to the backpack location the other day. And it was soooooooooo obvious in retrospect, what a red herring, duh.
