I've been reading here for years and years but just recently joined and post rarely. Personally, I suspect that she probably did meet up with someone for some recreational reason and/or left with them for somewhere else for whatever reason. Especially if her car was parked away from the water so she could see their vehicle approaching. Especially if she thought her car would be safe there until she could retrieve it. It's just their lifestyle. Maybe the landing was just a known midway point for them.

So, if you take the distance from HE's place to PTL, and then go that distance in the other direction, where do you end up?

Idk. I was sort of thinking NC, SC, GA. Maybe throw TN in there for good measure. Those states seem close together with crime against women, at least it seems that way when thinking of missing cases. I have nothing to back that up, only what I'm thinking. But if the perp is sticking to waterways & lands near the coast, then maybe he's an eastern seaboard inhabitant. Fisherman?

In taking a look at her case, the thing I find troubling is LE was very right lipped and everyone thought is must be because they knew a lot and were closing in on someone but here we are 8 months later with no further info and no arrest and in that case they have her body with, I imagine, all sorts of evidence on it.
LE is just as tight lipped in this case and we are all hopeful it's because they have info. I just hope this case gets some answers quicker!
I'm hopeful that justice will be served in both cases. Families need this!

Sometimes le is tight lipped bc they have something that links one victim to another victim. Could be something that's left at the scene, could be a fiber, could be a type of wound, could be a foot or tire print, etc. If that's the case, they have to keep the info close. I just wish le could find the happy medium point to be able to catch the public up to speed. Isn't there some way they can do or say something without releasing pertinent information?

I'll start at Myrtle Beach and expand outward. It looks to me like it might be more of a corridor up toward central VA, but I'll see what I can find.

Looks like WV is a straight shot as well. I have no idea as to a time frame to concentrate on. I only suggested waitresses & water as a spur of the moment idea. Maybe we'll find something? Idk, it's a resort area so IMO we're bound to find something.

But if the highest concentration is near Myrtle Beach, then is it somebody that was bumped out of something for any specific reason?

Myrtle Beach is renowned for their golf courses and fishing. Or are they better known for other things? Example: People worldwide love going to Orlando for Universal Studios & LBV for Disney World, however when I lived there I discovered they were even more well known for their teetee bars & escort scvs. So I wonder, is Myrtle Beach famous for anything else?

I'm not sure what a basement thread is, because I don't pay much attention to the names of different areas of WS, but there is a scanner thread, and a Maps & Media, no discussion thread. I was looking at the Myrtle beach online site and found photos from yesterday's (Friday) CUE search. I will try to post a couple, I've never posted a pic here before-hope this is okay and doesn't violate any TOS.

It's mainly to show what adverse conditions searchers are up against. This area seems impossible to go through.

Ok it didn't work. I will keep trying to find a way to post these few pics.

And a sincere thank you to all the searchers. This area looks so wooded and overgrown and piney. So much to look through. . .

Hello everyone. I am new to WS and I have been reviewing everyone's post. I agree with a lot of posting here especially the TK theory. I feel that AB and HE knew the person who lured them (AB stopping her car where she did and HE car being at PTL.) I also live in the local area and have for the past 32 years. I have been to PTL on many occasions by car and boat. This is not a place for a young girl or boy to be out by themselves at that time of the morning ( if 3 am is the correct time) It is very dark even with a bright moon. I also have lived and my mother still lives on the waccamaw river so I am very familiar with the waccamaw river and it's tides etc.

On a side note my honest opinion Our LE is not capable of handling a case of this magnitude and pride gets in their way of asking for help. As a local I have always felt that our MSM, County council , mayors and state government have turned a blind eye to the increase in crime in our area. They like the fact we are a "family beach" and bring in tourism dollars to the state, when in fact we are not!
When turn a blind eye and do nothing crime then takes over this is all my honest opinion

IDK. I don't live in Myrtle Beach but am close enough. This case caught my attention because it's someplace my daughter goes with her friends. Worried me to death when they went there to celebrate New Year's Eve!

I have 2 questions:

First...what has made CUE home in on the Tidewater Rd area?

I'm of the opinion that HE has either been taken out of the county, or possibly even the state. And I only say that because if her car was found at PL, the only ways to get back over to Tidewater are routes that are usually hi visibility, even at 4-6 am in the morning.

Second question: Where are the previous postings to this thread?

I respectfully disagree. The perp could have taken Waccamaw to forest brook which ends extremely close to peachtree rd. I don't see forestbrook as being a high traffic area at that time of the day. Also, I mapped out the distance from tidewater to peachtree landing after someone mentioned that in some cases a perp dumps a car almost exactly 10-20 miles in the opposite direction. Peachtree landing is almost a straight shot 8 miles south if you took forestbrook & 10 exactly if you took 31. And I don't see 31 being high visibility at that time of day either... not to mention the driver would probably go unnoticed anyway unless they drove by someone who knew that was HE's car & she wasn't the one driving.

In the BD case Dawn has continously brought it up as a possibility of how Britt could be alive; however MBPD has dismissed it. They have also said that MB area does not have a problem with Human Trafficking. I am not sure what to believe when it comes to Human trafficking. I know it happens, I just don't know if it happens alot.

But quick question. Why does TN keep nagging me? Were there a couple cases we followed here that had somebody go missing in Tn but were found in one f the Carolinas? Greenville is stuck in my head & it's killing me I don't remember why. I'm gonna have to search this now! Gonna bug me all night! Why. Do. I. Think. They. Were. Waitresses? Jeesh it's bugging me...

The close proximity to intercostal water ways would be a convenient way for those taking the girls to avoid detection from traffic cameras that are everywhere now. Can't get them out via car, fine use a boat.

What is the closest international port to MB? I would guess Charleston has international shipping traffic, but I might be wrong. Please, let me know, if any of you do.

The other reason I suspect a human trafficking ring is the high percentage of these girl that are NEVER found. It would be hard to find a body or bones for a girl that is being held and very much alive in some brothel overseas.

I know it's a big problem up the road in NC (Specifically Wilmington, which is only an hour away.)

You might be remembering an attempted kidnapping of a young lady from Greeneville, TN on the strip there in MB in iirc the summer of 2012. They pulled up next to her in a van and tried to pull in, but she was able to fight the guy off.

I do not remember her name, but I was very proud of how tough a home town girl was. I am from Tusculum which more or less Greeneville.

The port in Wilmington is 1 hr and 26 minutes away and is a big international port. (Also their security is a joke. I used to live in ILM and knew someone who worked there.)

The port in Charleston is 1 hr and 58 minutes away. No intel on that one though.
