On the Help find my brother. Charlie David Carver Facebook group, there is an interesting post by a W***** *advertiser censored*******'who apparently has been in contact with one of the main players in this drama (unfortunately it's neither Kala nor Charlie David). In the comments, one of the administrators of the page tells us where CD's laptop is (seems to be where the posting is coming from).

Can nothing more specific than that be posted on here? I don't use Facebook so can't view that group to see what's going on.

At this stage are we any closer to knowing if the FB posting is related to CD and KB being missing or if it's just a random troll exploiting a tragic situation?

Thank you, BlkMtnGirl. The entire situation is so bizarre. With so little evidence, and all the oddities, it is too easy to speculate on even the most wild theories. I am going with the feelings of friends/family, but with a grain of salt, of course. I do wish i could find discussions among the locals, get a better feel for the whole situation.Hoping for a quick and happy resolution.

I'm sorry, I think I can't be more specific due to TOS. I recommend getting an anonymous FB profile for sleuthing purposes ;-)

But if the police are able to locate the location and pinpoint the source (computer that was used) if it was a computer, they can find all those deleted messages and much more on the hard drive.

Thank you, sweetcherries!

Just because I haven't seen it in any of the posts- CD's sister says the door was locked, however she has neither the time or energy to try to get all of the news stories corrected.

Is using someone's FB a crime? Is it illegal?
So, LE know where the laptop is? And they know who is posting on CD's FB?
If that is the case, clearly, they don't think who ever is posting is involved in their disappearance. IMO

This feels like a case that could go any way - from a big hoax, domestic violence, murder fom outside the couple. I hope the seeming lack of action from police is a ruse.

Using someone's fb without their permission is hacking and/or impersonation. It is probably rarely prosecuted, however. JMO. IANAL. LE may be hoping whoever it is will give something away. They may know who it is but are waiting for evidence to get them on more than hacking/impersonation.

I've been following this case but only loosely. Just curious, do the either one of the missing couple have any criminal records?

Interesting...

(5) Each computer, computer system, or computer network affected by the violation of this chapter constitutes a separate violation.

There's a lot more about the law at the link.

This is just one of the possible scenarios going thru my mind: the fact that contacts/glasses were left behind, could point to them leaving quickly, rushing out the door. Since one car is missing, i would be interested in knowing both of their cell phone activity/social media activity/internet use for late august, as well as if anyone was seen coming or going from there. I know we are not privy to most of that info. but, just thinking out loud

Love triangle gone wrong? It's sad that neither David or Kala have been able to reach out to family. I don't believe they are voluntarily missing at all.

Now where to find them???

Has anyone here done a map for this?

I have followed the FB groups since they started but have not once seen where the friend they left lived, or where they lived.

It would help a lot!

I had started this earlier today but now all I have is my ipad. I will try get finished up later today however, if anyone else has one please post! :)

Has anyone seen or read that LE or family/friends are, actively, searching? I don't remember seeing that.

Also, for locals, is this a safe area? How is crime in the area? Is there a drug epidemic like many other cities?

I got a sinking feeling when I read that Kala's mother said, "Whatever the problem, we'll figure it out. No one here will judge them." I wonder if there was more drama going on than what police are saying.

I'm certainly not accusing anyone. But, David's estranged wife seems, at best, cold and callous about the situation. She actually posted something to the effect about not giving a **** that they are missing.

Okay, I understand if this started out as a love triangle and the wife 'lost out', that she would have some anger and bitterness. However, even though I've had some bad breakups, I wouldn't wish harm on even the worst of my exes. Breakups suck, but they happen. I can't imagine not caring (maybe even having something to do with) your ex missing and perhaps harmed or even dead. These were people who were professing love for each other as recently as May.

Worse than not caring that the couple could have been harmed, is IF the estranged wife is the one who is hacking David's FB account. It's bad enough to be ambivalent that your spouse is maybe injured or even dead, but it's a whole other level to taunt his friends and family.

Maybe the estranged wife isn't involved in this; but so far, she looks like a likely candidate.
