Glad to see this posted here, local to me. Just had a car pulled from a retention pond and people were wondering if it could be him. Turned out not to be, but there are so many bodies of water around here I fear he might meet the same fate.

LEE COUNTY, S.C. (WPDE) — Search crews found the body of 81-year-old Martin Raffone, Jr. of Beaufort County Saturday evening in a wooded area at Lynches River in the Lynchburg community of Lee County, according to Lee County Coroner Larry Logan.

*****
Logan said they don’t believe there’s any criminal involvement in Raffone’s death.

However, an autopsy will be done on his body at the Newberry Medical Center to confirm his specific cause of death.

:(

They said his body was found near the vehicle.

Authorities said the circumstances surrounding Raffone’s death are under investigation by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.
