What's your point that the car was stolen?

The plates were stolen and apparently put on Roof's car. The point is, this curious little factoid will probably not come up in court, and thus we won't know the relevance of this evidence.

What about the cameras- Images of Roof were available on surveillance videos.

Videos that show what? Roof walking through some doorway? What does that prove? Maybe that Roof was there at the time, but it doesn't put a gun in his hand. Can it even be proved that the video was actually from the church?

As to the article that was written by the press and why they didn't put quote marks, that is irrelevant, IMO, but that was Sanders' actual testimony according to the tweets coming out of the courtroom. Have you read all the tweets?

The trial isn't over yet, so we may hear from other witnesses.

The cameras are outside the church and, yes, Roof walking thru the doors of the church show that he was there at that time and the witness, Sanders, said Roof was there at the time and is the person who shot everyone. I'm sure that there are ways to prove that the video was from the outside of the church and can be brought up in court if someone in the jury needed that proof.

I think that the witnesses put "the smoking gun" in Roof's hand, as he himself has said this also. There are more witnesses. As to if/when we will hear from them- it is still to be seen in this trial.

Chew all you need to. On WS, we are all able to voice our own opinions, but it seems that Roof's confession, coming out of his own mouth- on tape- is evidence enough to me (according to the prosecutor- to be heard at court in the coming days). Do you think he is making his confession up- maybe mentally ill in some capacity? Coerced in some way, as Spellbound has brought up ( I can't think of anything else right now)? It doesn't matter, as i have said before ,IMO, as there are witnesses/survivors to his crime.

You are saying your agenda is to "give Roof the defense his 'defense' lawyer obviously won't give him.". Why is this obvious at this point in the trial? How do you know this or assuming this?

You also said, "A real defense". Aren't you jumping to conclusions here- that you are anticipating that Roof's defense won't be "real". Seems premature, at this point in the trial, to say that, IMO.We haven't even heard his lawyer's defense side of Roof yet, so we don't know what that will be. I can't imagine what that might be myself. What makes you think it won't be "real" ? Why have that opinion? From my research and from another trial that I have followed with Mr. Bruck, Roof has a very good defense lawyer, IMO.

we are only at the beginning and may seen more --- whether one eye witness or several, the guilt has been established before this. This is to establish the consequences/punishment.

but it IS her actual testimony -- paraphrased by the reporter, perhaps. If you pay attention, these days proper attention to punctuation is becoming rare. It does not change facts, though.

Absolutely it can be proven .... but may not be released to us, the public. Are you local to the case and can attend? You might get answers to your particular questions/doubts there. Seems you are asking for actual photos/video of Roof at the time of shooting/killing?

Computer experts would be able to prove when it was entered into text on a computer, Roof already confirmed he wrote it ...... what more do you want? I will try to find it.

Is this some kind of test? Sounds like your mind is made up --- but it is unclear what your point of view is. Do you believe DR is guilty? Do you believe he is innocent? Do you not believe this was a racially motivated crime? Do you feel: he was not even at the church.... did not have guns .... this is a setup to convict him ..... sorry, but your not coming across clear as to what you believe or do not believe. we are getting eyewitness statements now, may be more to come, ballistics linked the Glock to the scene, there are reports of how he came to have possession of the gun... I don't have time to find it right now, but I will work on it later if I can.

Are you a lawyer? His lawyer has a good reputation. What makes you think he is not giving Roof a good defense? What do you think he is defending in this "trial"? Again, it isn't a case of defending his guilt/innocence. This is to determine whether he committed hate crimes ....

Most of the images shown in court will not be included in the release of evidence photos to the greater public due to their graphic nature.
Jurors also watched surveillance footage of Roof stepping out of Emanuel AME Church into the hot night air in June of last year, holding a Glock 45 investigators say he used to kill the nine parishioners. Charleston police Sgt. Daniel English shows the jury more than 20 video clips taken from the church's three security cameras. He was able to show a packed courtroom the last time every victim stepped into the church for the last time.

Among the other videos that were shown was the church's pastor, Clementa Pinckney, welcoming a parishoner just after 7:35 p.m., about 90 minutes before he was killed. Other videos taken earlier in the day show other people entering the church throughout the day.

The videos were part of a large amount of video and photo evidence that was shown to the jury. Among the other images were graphic crime scene photos that depicted the victims after the killing. The judge in the case ordered that those photos not be posted anywhere online.

The trial is set to resume Friday morning. Roof's defense team is not contesting Roof's guilt during the trial, but says their goal is to help Roof avoid the death penalty.
