Yes and IMO that’s why she was moving along with the shooter (being chased)Even after the forth (death ) shot,AM walked up and put a bullet to the back of MM's head.
I still can’t get over AM asking in first LE on scene bodycam - Are you sure they are dead?
well yeah, YOU made sure.
He makes my skin crawl.

MOO
Thank you for upthread posting these photos. Maggie would have had a clear view of what happened to Paul. Weren't Alex and Maggie standing near the bird pens just before the shooting? If Paul was shot in his left side (do I understand that correctly ? ) as he exited the shed, then Alex was standing between Paul and Maggie during the second shot. Maggie would have seen everything.

No. He doesn’t give them the discretion to pick at all. This is protocol for him in cases he presides over.
I found that rather interesting. Was anyone on the jury jostling for Jury Foreman position and one day, a day or so before the prosecution rested, the Judge announced the name of the Jury Foreman, a woman? Did the jury then send an email to the judge related to this announcement, so the Judge clarified that he told them at the beginning that he would make the decision?

It isn't spam. It has to be someone he knows. She has his private number. It seems like a cut and paste. I know this book. However, there is no ryme or reason to It. And "answered" thing makes little sense.
I would like to think the message she was trying to get across…..was in the last line. His judgement day has arrived. Wonder if it’s someone he worked with, or ripped off at one time.

It really blows my mind. Maybe it is just what you said.

Like I said, I know this book. It is from chapter 6, but it is almost word for word from only paragraph 17. There is no "ANSWERED" in the original paragraph, and besides that's not even a place to answer.

Very confusing.....

On 2/16 Judge Newman assigned a Foreperson

On 2/17 he informed the Parties that Jury sent him a note

What we may have here, folks, is a Run Away Jury!

Judge Newman told them he'd select the foreperson and where the foreperson would sit, in the first chair, in the jury pool. But, they chose to select their own foreperson. Yikes!

They may not be good listeners. They may not be good at following directions.

Still thinking about Paul. Witness testimony is that the shots were fired from a 135 degree angle from Azimuth. Were the shots from his left (I'm doubting my memory, can anyone confirm?) - as though the shooter was first standing at the entrance to the shed shooting Paul in the shed, then the shooter moved to the right of the shed door, moving closer to Maggie, and, when Paul came out of the shed, Alex shot him again. Paul's brain fell on the ground next to his body, which dropped into the gravel. Maggie might have heard the first shot and Alex might call her, as though wanting to protect her. Regardless, she would have come running - since no one but loving family were there. It seems like she was maybe still near the bird pen when she heard the first shot. Maggie was alive when Alex picked up a different rifle and pursued her.

Well are you going to tell us what the book is or do I have to sleuth it?

I agree, it is confusing. I know the book also. Only other other thing is it was totally random, I haven’t heard her name come up anywhere else.

I am really beginning to wonder if someone was pointing out to him his judgement day has arrived. I do wonder if it’s someone he worked with, or ripped off at one time.
Hmm......

Wow, that is interesting! But I'm thinking the JW's ( or maybe just CW) could be trying a new method of "witnessing", rather than going door to door. Easy enough to copy and paste into a text and send to random phone numbers. Just a thought.
No. I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses, we aren't going to send a random paragraph. Let alone put the word ANSWERED sporadically.

Yes we've been writing letters during covid but, and yes making calls but no texting unless we know them personally.

This, is weird. She has his private number and it just happens to be about money and they will realize that money cannot save them from the coming calamity.

At this moment Im banking on someone threatening him or something similar.

I don't understand who she is or why she is texting this. But, @Seattle1 I know this book. Why is she quoting from it? She doesn't seem to be making a point, just quoting.
????

After reading all 88 pages of the timeline, I recognized a pattern where I believe the sender ("Cynthia Washington") is saved in AM's contacts -- otherwise, we'd just see the phone number. MOO

I've been taking a close look at the official timeline, with a focus on 2 areas that the defense will try to argue, specifically time to commit the murder and timing around finding the bodies and calling 911.

I believe that AM had time to commit the murders before leaving for Almeda and I believe that his description of coming across that bodies and calling 911 is not believable.
Let me know if you see any flaws in my thinking below.

Timing:

  • 19 seconds to arrive at scene and then call 911 per OnStar: Defense has said that 20 seconds is a long time…plenty of time. My fastest estimate is 30 seconds - see below - and that doesn't include actually taking a pulse, just looking for where to take a pulse.
    • park and get out of car - 2 sec
    • run to PM, glancing over at MM - 6 sec
    • check PM (take in scene and consider taking pulse; try to turn him over; try to take pulse; phone pops out; pick up phone and try to 'do something' with it; put phone back down on Paul; take one last look) - 9 sec
    • Run over to MM - 4 sec
    • Check MM (take in immediate scene; check for pulse) 7 sec
    • Get phone out and dial 911 - 2 sec (presuming not left in car)
    • Total fastest time: 30 seconds
    • My Conclusion: AM could not have stumbled across the bodies and do everything he said he did before calling 911. It implies that he saw the dead bodies prior to this, because he had killed them.

  1. In contrast to the "20 seconds is a long time" opinion by defense, defense says time for AM to have committed the murders and departing for Almeda was too short a time. My presumed available time is 15 minutes(i.e. between 9:51 and 9:06). My quickest estimate for shooting/cleaning up/leaving is:
    • Shoot Paul twice, including waiting for him to stumble forward (10 sec)
    • Pick up 2nd weapon and chase MM (10 seconds)
    • Shoot MM 5 times in fairly quick succession, allowing for MM to stumble (10 seconds)
    • Put weapons down; walk to hose; quick rinse off of legs, feet, hands, arms; hang hose up (60 seconds)
    • Wrap up guns in raincoat; put shoes, shirt, pants in cooler; put things in vehicle (ATV? Golf cart?) ( 60 seconds)
    • Fiddle with Maggie's phone (30 seconds)
    • Drive to house (ATV/cart) and transfer raincoat/cooler to SUV (60 seconds)
    • Go in house and do quick shower. Put on t-shirt/shorts. (4 min.)
    • Phone Maggie. (18 sec) - walking downstairs
    • Call Randy (18 sec) - walking outside
    • Go to SUV and start up. (15 sec)
    • Total quickest time: 9 minutes
    • My Conclusion: AM had enough time to clean up and head to Almeda
How many steps did Alex take between arriving at 10:06 and connecting with 911 at 10:07. Page 61 of recent doc release attached below. He was walking all over the place while on the phone with 911? It sounds like he was checking the scene while sobbing about his wife and child. I don't think 20 seconds is long enough to do everything that Alex claims he did - fooling around with Paul's body and then checking, tossing his phone.

I suppose the closing arguments will point out that there were three people at Moselle that night according to an in-depth digital investigation. Three people, two are dead, one has no alibi and is confirmed to be at the scene at the time of the murders.

Dead at 8:45-8:53, three people and no one else at the scene at the time.

Exactly....
I did an experiment in my basement. Even attempting to act this out it never fell under 20 seconds. Just trying to flip over my daughter took 17 seconds! And with that I would have had blood and brain matter allllll over me.

Thinking about it, I can’t see someone threatening AM with a JW message unless they are a JW and if they are a JW they wouldn’t be threatening him ….lol did that make sense.

Interesting. I'm curious how the Judge and the Jury disagree? Is the Judge choosing someone with leadership skills who is listening carefully to testimony, whereas the jury is picking the most charming person during lunch?
