His point?
"It was the drugs. It's not my fault."
A smarter story for him would have been to claim he was paranoid around his family, and when he went out to find them he thought they were plotting against him, or they confronted him, and he thought PM was going to grab a gun so he shot them in his drugged-up paranoid state. His hubris really let him believe that he'd never get caught though.

And sadly it was the “dogs” and the housekeeper..

As to the double slaying, it sure seems to IMO set down to an attempt to rid or absolve the family of the boat crash legal peril (son) and perhaps impending divorce or financial examination or audit (wife)? But might not ever be apparent.

Watching some of the shed reenactment with Dr. Kinsey, I kept wondering if wait…. the defendant is anxious to stand up and say no, this is how…..

MOO.

Yes indeed and we offer a 5 star breakfast to soke up some of those spirits that didn't settle well during night lol. For those up for a trip out to the ranch for a looksee the peace, love and groovy bus will be pulling up to escort you off the train and onto the bus, no worries the bus is stocked as well and the chicken called shotgun seat already. Plenty to do as the jurors look over the kill site sad to say but feel free to mingle around the pine trees with your drinks.
You’re a fabulous host and certainly keep us laughing in the stressful final stretch of this trial! :) Have you ever considered a career in fictional writing?

We don't know since she wasn't called.
I wonder if CW will use some of the jailhouse calls in his closing. The one about AM's jailhouse poker winnings was flat-out hilarious (I got some slim jims and some twix, I got some....). And when John Marvin's wife asked Alex if, in the aftermath of the roadside ridiculousness, he had seen the light and if he moved toward it....lol.

BBM…
Indeed! That would of been priceless!

As if to say if AM wasn't on drugs all the destruction he created would have never happened including killing family members IMO. Drugs are just another diversion from showing the man he really is and AM has had the "All about me" mindset I believe long before he started to gobble up pills. there are those out there that refuse to connect the simple dots that have led up to the killings which involve the phone record timelines, videos and believe AM had to have help in the killings or he had left missing the assassins that came in killed MM and PM. To each their own and all theories are welcomed as always but darn AM just smells of bad mojo and dirty deeds and one would think if AM had help he would have thrown them under his save self bus by now, he's thrown everyone else under it.
Yes, and how about, and others may also have noted this already…… since there was the ahemmm ‘drug’ use (cough cough) maybe the double slayings were unintentional?

Didn’t the defendant say something under direct like I would never intentionally…..?

Something just hit me this morning. I wonder if AM decided to do the shootings at the dog kennels so that the mess to clean up afterwards would have been limited (not like if the shootings had taken place in the house). The “mess” would have impacted the value of the house when it came time to sell. It’s a cold thought, but he’s cold.

One reporter allowed to go on the jury view. We are now receiving notes: The 12 jurors and 2 alternates assembled at the Colleton County Courthouse at 9 a.m. and loaded into three transport vans. The windows were blocked to keep anyone from looking in. The vans left at 9:10 a.m

Jury view notes: Behind the jury was a phalanx of security vehicles and court personnel. Judge Clifton Newman rode in a pickup truck driven by Colleton County Sheriff’s Office Capt. Jason Chapman.

Jury view notes: You may remember Capt. Chapman from the first full day of testimony; he was the lead local officer the night of June 7, 2021, at Moselle. He testified about Alex Murdaugh’s demeanor and the challenges of securing a scene in rainy conditions.

Jury view notes: Clerk of Court Rebecca Hill and Court Reporter Elizabeth Harris followed the judge in a truck driven by Mike Atwood, who has led courthouse security for the duration of the trial. It was Mr. Atwood who told the judge about the bomb threat mid-trial.

Jury view notes: It is a beautiful morning, sunny and warm. We are told the ground will be wet when we arrive.

Jury view notes: The logistics are: the jury will be taken through the kennel entrance and have a total of 30 minutes to view the property. They will spend the bulk of their time at the kennels and the shed where Maggie and Paul Murdaugh were killed.

Jury view notes: Towards the end of the visit, the jury will be taken to the main house for a view of the exterior. They will not go inside.

Just trying to dull the jagged edge of such a horrific crime and haven't thought about fictional writing since reality has been trumping fiction lately with crimes like this. Maby a story about a chicken who escaped a killers ranch made it to a train then took control of the train and those inside and went on a drunken rampage. In the end we all find out the chicken played us all and is the actual killer hmmm.
