I came home a different route than I took out earler. I'm wondering if they are still there also, and if their presense got larger.
Where was this at? I have been in and out all day almost and in almost every direction today and saw nothing anywhere.

I hate to keep bothering you, indepmo and In da Middle, but can you update us on the gathering of police cars?

Pretty please! I keep refreshing to see if anything new has happened. By the way, thanks for all the info you do post. It gives us an overview, for those of us who aren't there. You guys are really appreciated. :great:

the pic I was shown of this supposed police presence, looked to me, like the normal daily activity of the business. There is always at least one car down there that looks to possibly be an unmarked police vehicle and it was parked in its usual spot.

Can whomever showed you the picture post it online, so we can all see?

Just so everyone knows, there used to be a vehicle there that looked like an old crown vic that may have either been an old security vehicle or a police car. You can see it on google earth at the location because it had been parked there for at least a year.

I don't want to publish the location because I don't know what they were doing there, nor has anything hit the media. When I went by, there were 6 unmarked vehicles. A group of LE in plain clothes was walking near a wooded area. Four more unmarked units were exiting the highway and headed towards the other units when I went to get back on the highway.

I should also add there were a couple of other vehicles parked there that were not crown vics so I can't account for who they were. Someone else mentioned that one facebook page I try to avoid so I went to see their pictures. One of the images clearly shows a KCPD license plate with lights in the rear window such as the detective units use here.

Nothing on the news so I'm certain they were most likely either interested in the area or following up on a tip.

Thank you, indepmo.

It just seems like a big police presence to follow up on a tip. You would think they'd only need one or two officers, and then bring out more if they found something.

Is the media in KC a bit on the lazy side? I alerted Russ Ptacek and NBC Action News, and they obviously weren't interested.

This area has also been searched MANY times before by foot, atv, horseback and with dogs. This is very near where the command center was located. There is also at least one Crown Vic parked down there right by that pathway on a daily basis. I can't remember right now if it is blue or green.

Sadly, the media doesn't seem to be interested in anything unless it is scandalous of sort, especially on this case.

The daily crown vic has been gone for two weeks. It has been parked there forever. You can see a glimpse of it in my Irwin Neighborhood video when I drove down there.

Google historical satellite data shows the vehicle parked in the same spot from 5/2010 - 6/2011
As I stated, it was just moved a couple of weeks ago.

The units there today had KCPD unmarked detective units (not my photo, but another local who posted on another FB page) with a close up of the obvious plate

One could speculate on the other vehicles that were there today.
A couple of weeks back we had a brother picked up by LE in a rental car according to the media, and I know RR detectives drive unmarked vehicles as well. During last weekends search, RR detectives were there in unmarked SUV's. The detectives I saw today went onto RR property. I really don't think LE would be entering RR property for illegal dumping in the area. Usually RR detectives handle their own cases, even theft.

Yes this area was previously searched, but who knows how well.
They went back to 34th and Brighton two more times after the initial search, and they went back to the residence for a more in-depth look at things. If they were there today searching, I'm glad they are still working hard on this case for baby Lisa.

Thanks ~ I hope it is Lisa's case they are working on but I guess we have no way of knowing. Wonder why the media didn't take an interest in that.

The daily crown vic has not left. It is still down there every time I go through there. It has been down there on a daily basis for years. It could be railroad security or security for the grain elevator. Not sure.

Me too. Could this make sense though in terms of timing?

Emergency crews were called to the area about 5 p.m.

No, what they were talking about earlier, happened earlier than that. This does explain all of the sirens I heard about that time though!

This very thing is why the rail road is so diligent about people on their property. I also believe the earlier possible police activity is because maybe there was a report of somebody trespassing on railroad property or report of damage. The two places are only about a mile or so apart from each other if traveling down the tracks. The spot where the accident happened today is closer to where the search last weekend was held.

I hope it wasnt one of those inexperienced searchers. This happened anywhere between a 1/4 of a mile to 1 & 1/4 of a mile to the east of where they discovered the well. It's a short road that runs along the railroad tracks. There is one intersection that crosses with another street. Perhaps this guy was trying to beat a train. No details released yet.

This happened around 5pm, and the police activity I saw today was around 11am. I hope this wasnt someone out walking the tracks looking for Lisa. You just can't go walking around on railroad tracks. It's not legal and it's not safe. Very unsafe.

Good Gawd! You and me both!

Wasn't there already the older man that drown in the river looking for her?

I hope that LE can make an arrest soon already.

I have to agree with you... most intuitives that work with LE do not want publicity and actually go to great lengths to NOT have their 15 minutes... nor to they want to be paid...

Im sure LE would have checked out her claim just as they do all tips.. its what LE call a "hunch".

Bet psychics would like to be paid as an LE team member in a limited capacity. A mutual respect. Most "psychics" if there are any real ones, are probably quite reserved and would shun fame.

Indepmo, are you saying the police presence yesterday at 11am is 1 1/4 to 1/4 mile away from the well that was discovered near the casino?

I am very interested in this police gathering yesterday! At the very least, it gives me hope that LE is still interested.
