kind of jumping off your post here. would you say that the majority of people in the immediate neighborhood are supportive of DB and JI? i'm just interested in knowing what the general consensus is now, almost 2 months in.
I would say generally supportive. But this is just based on the fact there has been absolutely no fallout of any kind that I am aware of. The ones that I am specifically aware of are like me, just not enough verified information to just out and out dog on the parents who seemed to take such very good care of their kids. Most of us that I know of are just waiting for the facts. These people have done no harm to anybody as it stands so most seem to be giving the benefit of doubt at least for now. This would not be the case with some other occupants of the neighborhood that have a known neighborhood history I am sure. The only one sticking point most have is the not talking to LE, but most still seem to give them a little leeway on that for now. But I have in no means talked to everybody, but based on the fact that no peace eruptions have happened, everybody is at least going to be peaceful for the boys and show respect that way.

I would say it is safe to say YES. Some of the searchers have met at the parents house before AND after the local searches.
Just jumping off your post. The parents haven't been at the searches, before, during, or after. It's safe to assume they may have, or haven't, inquired about the searches.

Rooster27 if you listen to Websleuths Radio from last night Levi Page exposed the psychic. She's a fraud and I knew as soon as I saw her name on the thread who she was. She pulled the same thing in the HaLeigh Cummings case. She stole someone else's vision and claimed it as her own in both cases. As a matter of fact, according to Levi she charged HaLeigh's grandmother $600 which I think is pretty sad. I have personally talked to Marie on the phone and she is completely devistated over her granddaughter being missing and to have this person pull what she did peeves me to no end. The Sheffields' and Griffis' have been through enough pain to last a lifetime and my heart goes out to them. And now the so called psychic strikes again and Levi exposed the fact that she stole someone else's vision again. In both cases this so called psychic claimed there was a well. Same senario repeated and then she tells everybody how broke she is and tries to pull on everybody's heart strings. If she was so broke she wouldn't be able to afford cellphone for herself and kids, let alone a computer. There are people who don't have roof over their heads or food on the table who know what it is like to be broke. This woman is pathetic and gives a bad name to the real psychics that do exist.

Thanks snowbunny, I have to go listen to that. Yesterday i wasn't avail to catch up on anything, and missed the radio show. Just coming back now. That's horrible. I can't believe it! A total fraud? She was said to have had to encountered these allegations before (because most people do not believe in psychics, and are skeptical because of it) and she was trying to defend her integrity. She said she was not doing it for any money. A lie it seems.

What is she doing this for. The Irwins don't seem to have any money, (or seem to be involved in any searching.) Even though the reward money is very vast, you would have to lead someone to the baby, wouldn't you, to get the reward? Wondering what her motive would be then to post her phony psychic vision on her blog. Possibly just publicity? Although again, if she was wrong, she wouldn't be deemed a very good psychic and generate no business. Which boils down to 15 minutes (or a few days) of fame.

Well, since we seem to now know she is an exploiter, shame on her. As you said, she gives real psychics a bad name.

I've had dreams before that turned into something real. I'm sure everyone has at some point. But psychics are hogwash and it's insulting that this woman inserted herself into this case. Someone else has posted that a psychic has never helped find a missing child.

No more psychics! Please!

I remember reading that too. Here. Is this a fact? If so, how can one really know that? Does the poster that says that, know the details of how every single crime resolution went down? I read recently how a little girl in CT i believe it was, helped LE solve a crime. I respect your opinion that they are "hogwash" but IMO and IM experience psychics do exist. And many of them believe they have their gifts to help the universe. They are not all like the one we are speaking of here, who was exposed.

JMO:innocent:
More importantly. has anyone heard more about any subsequent LE searches to take place?

I was just thinking recently if i ever remember a psychic finding a missing person..I cant think of one time..but i would be interested if there have been any found by one if its happened. Can anyone think of one?

I have to agree with you... most intuitives that work with LE do not want publicity and actually go to great lengths to NOT have their 15 minutes... nor to they want to be paid...

Im sure LE would have checked out her claim just as they do all tips.. its what LE call a "hunch".

I apologize for not being more informed, but I was gone for about 2 weeks and was unable to keep up. This is a search thread, so hopefully it's okay if I ask here. What ever happened (if anything) with the well that was on the old casino property? Just from what I read, LE was going to plan a search of this well. Did that ever happen or was I imagining things about it going to happen even? TIA

Mvho, but I think that was probably LE just trying to be kind and PC? And if they did or do search it- I'd be surprised if we find out about it, given the controversy over the search to begin with.

If there were a psychic that had helped find a missing person due only to their "psychic abilities", that person would be used far and wide. There's a list of threads on this website dedicated to people that are still missing. If that psychic can lend some insight, I'm sure there would be some very thankful family members.

a KCPD spokesperson said that the well would be searched. HLN was reporting on this case yesterday and said the well had 4-5 ft. of water in it.

of course, KCPD must not think it is a viable place to find Lisa, since they haven't done the search yet, and here it is Thursday.

i wonder what KCPD knows, since they have stopped searching?

I've tried to look. Years ago, there was an excellent psychic with black hair and her first name was Doris. I don't remember the last name. But the police used her A LOT. She was in her 60's at the time I saw her on TV but she has since passed away. She would come up with names and intials and had the most astonishing details that proved to be true. But I remember that from reading about her and seeing her on TV back then, and would love to find out and read something now if any of the info she actually gave to people about names of the rapists, killers, ever turned out to be right on.

Well, we have only to see how things turn out in this case to see how much, if any, of this psychic's vision turn out to be true. If baby Lisa did drown in the tub, that makes sense to me why the baby was being carried around in just a diaper because she had no clothes on in the tub and the diaper maybe was just put on to put 'something' on the child. I don't know. We'll have to see.

I've had dreams years ago of plane crashes before they happened. It was very frightening. Two weeks later, the plane crash would happen as I saw it. But not 100% as I saw it. Thankfully, that has stopped.

There is a pretty large police presense near the Irwin home right now. I don't want to go into specifics where they are, but it's not near the well. If I hear anything breaking I will post again.

Can you take a picture and post? Are they on the same street?

Not the same street, around a mile away. I don't want to stir up a thread panic or speculation sheet. They may just be following up on one of the tips out of the 1400 or 1500 they have received. No images, just 7 or 8 unmarked vehicles arrived in this area. If there is something to this I'm sure it will hit the media airwaves.

7-8 unmarked vehicle is a pretty large amount. Is it FBI?

Dark blue like KC, and a few unknown

Thanks for the update indepmo!

you and IDM are so kind for giving us information on the local area etc.

I came home a different route than I took out earler. I'm wondering if they are still there also, and if their presense got larger.
