Hi Caylee-sis!
A karma status review:
** Nurmi accepted a 4 year suspension of his law license rather than risk disbarment for violating attorney-client privilege, this for writing and self-publishing the "first of 3" books intended to justify himself, trash the and trial watchers, and to denigrate JM.
** Juan Martinez received a slap on the wrist after a posse of defense attorneys joined forces to press a largely redundant complaint against him. A bar complaint against him is still pending for writing his NYT times best-seller book about the trial before her appeals were denied.
** The Court of Appeals has yet to receive opening briefs for the 's appeal. This is because the trial record is so (unnecessarily) massive court transcribers are still working on transcribing all of it accurately. The COA has vacated not only it's deadline for receipt of opening briefs, but it's notice of the trial record completion. Translated: 's appeals are back to square one.
** Judge Sherry Stephens won her ballot battle handily, and will remain on the bench.
** Lumley is apparently reorganizing, likely due to legal pressure by the ACLU. Death Row as such is being abolished, meaning DR inmates such as Forde the baby killer are being integrated into the Maximum Security population. So, even if the had been given the DP, her living arrangements would have been no different than they are now, at least for the first 5 years.
** The is cleaning toilets for 10 cents an hour, half of which is going to the Alexanders' for restitution. Donations to her scam appellate fund dried up months ago. Her few pitiful attempts to stay in the public eye resulted in having her contact visits privilege revoked for months, and in widespread scorn. Think Beano and zit cream.
** And.....the Alexanders. Samantha Alexander recently married. Tanisha Sorenson has found another niche as a successful fundraiser for non-profit causes.
