Not well RR. When I left he had a fever of 102.9. His White Blood cells are extremely low, so they are doing transfusions. I hated to leave, but I don't see him getting discharged any time soon....so I needed my things.

He is down to 102 lbs, and has sores in his mouth that makes it hard toswallow. These sores can go all the way down their GI tract, from the chemo. He is getting so depressed, and I understand that but can't stand to see it.

Thanks for asking :blowkiss:

Rosemary, we are all pulling for your Kyle, and also for you to continue to have the strength of a loving mom to get you both through this difficult time. If only we could take the hurts away. Please know my thoughts are with your family now. Chemo can be so rough on some ---- truly hope that means it is doing its job! ((((soft hugs))))

and I'm afraid I'm going to now spend hours listening/watching like I did with Elton John last night...

I tend to listen to a lot of folky type music these days although I do blare Springsteen on a day like today with the sunroof open. I really like Alison Krauss, especially for sad love songs-that's a real picker upper isn't it? She started out really blue grassy twangy but has been putting out more folkish music.

I think she has a great voice. These are both with her band Union Station

and the really sad Ghost in this House

Ms. Gheorghiu is a wonderful opera singer and Madama Butterfly is so sad.
Has anyone been to the opera? I always enjoy going. It's spectacular in person.

Thank-you.

Madama Butterfly is my all time favorite. Yes, I've seen in person...wowow

It was really fun seeing everyone yesterday. That was an old picture of me anyways...Must Start Prancercizing...

Anyway, I just put in an even older one with my first pet ever Tweety...

Tweety came and landed on my fingers when I called...when I lived in Minneapolis for a year, my roomies taught Tweety to cuss, specifically

"Chirp, (effing), Chirp. Chirp (effing) Chirp."

When I came bacjk to texas I stayed with my mom for a couple of weeks and Tweety said that one day...

My mom goes "WHAT did that bird just SAY??"

:banghead:

Jean Stapleton who played the iconic role of Edith Bunker on "All in the Family" died Friday in New York City. She was 90.

According to her family, Stapleton passed away of natural causes.

Stapleton won three Emmys from her work on "All in the Family" opposite Carroll O’Connor’s equally iconic character, Archie Bunker

Hook 'em Horns!

I only lived in Minneapolis a year but went I moved up there I took Tweety on the plane in a little carrier that fit under my seat.

I had SUCH fun watching heads in the seats in front of me snap around every time Tweety chirped! :floorlaugh:

Phoenix, AZ - Reported from courthouse, penalty phase jury to begin 12 day (or so) deliberation as they have not reached a unan verdict yet. Seems there is a rogue mad dog juror that will not under any circumstances allow foreman to tell judge a verdict cannot be reached unless or until 4 jurors thought to be supporting less than max penalty explain to him just how non existent mitigating factors could possibly outweigh the 100 tons of hard core aggravating factors in the case.

The rogue juror, said to be wearing some old hat, was quoted "This foreman wuss is gonna tell it to me 100 million billion times, or till his damn gums wear off or regular good dude Travis Alexander walks through the door," He did not appear to be jiving either.

"If this broad didn't buy herself the max penalty there ain't none' and "Where there's life, there's hope, and she sure didn't leave Travis any of either" he was quoted.

about Alison Krauss as I'm just catching up. We had a night lacrosse game tonight for state playoffs. It was so hot. When we started the season in March the first couple games got cancelled because of all the snow on the field. Weather-it's quite a thing. Anyway, Alison, I just love her voice and her sad songs. When I first started listening to her she was much more traditional bluegrass but she has evolved.

Goodnight everyone. Got to put my feet up.
Have fun.

A little "poppy" but I like.
