Don't think we have seen this wonder of the world on here yet....

Thanks for the cat/kitten video, YorN.

I have three. The latest I found in a restaurant parking lot last August. So tiny, so pitiful, I could not leave him there alone.

He has given us an endless stream of entertainment since.

Your welcome, Chester.
We have our cat, Milo, because some one put him in a black plastic bag and threw him in our driveway. He was so tiny, also. Needless to say, my mini-schaun., The Queen, was not happy, but they have learned to live with each other. My son is now Milo's slave. :floorlaugh:

My hubby is 1/2 Indian and 1/2 Italian. He is so handsome.

What a great combo! Is he 1/2 mellow (like Mr. M.) and 1/2 angsty (like me)? I find Mr. M. is way more philosophical about things than I am, but maybe that's the Sicilian in me.

Mr. Mertz really likes this guy, who was pretty mellow himself:

Another Bronxite - GO YANKEES!

So now we have you, YESorNO, me and Joey Jackson - what a group!

These guys are from the Bronx as well - I posted this before but I'll do it again, it's such a great song:

Aventura - Dile al Amor (HD) - YouTube

And yes, I think the lead singer is a cutie-pie!

I love Joey Jackson; he sees both sides to things and can really explain things so I can understand what's happening. I love, love, love Vinnie Politan. I think he hates JA. :floorlaugh:

We're a great group :drumroll:

I'm tired of seeing Jodie Ann's face. Hope the verdict comes in tomorrow. :jail:

There is a candle lighting in Phoenix today I am hearing. Since we are all spread far and wide I was thinking .....wouldn't it be a great idea for all of us Websleuthers all over the world to turn our porch lights on and leave them on until the verdict comes in? My porch light will be on tonight and everynight not only until a verdict is reached, but until sentancing is done...
Won't you join me please.... at least until we have a verdict? Thanks !

Speaking of light on....and looking fine...:floorlaugh:

My favorite Latin singer on Cinco de Mayo.

Vivian, Lets not forget City Island. Was there about a month ago.

Wow, City Island! We'd always go to Manny's, the first restaurant on the right after you crossed the bridge - my father knew everyone there and we were treated like royalty. Lobsters for everyone - don't know how my Dad could afford it.

Thanks for the memories (tm Bob Hope). Oh, and thanks for the Bronx Board tip - I'll check it out!

I'm Calabrese- thick headed :snooty: or as my mother would've said "faci toasta" (sp).

How about Luciano this Sunday?

We went to Crab Shanty recently. The food is good. I still go to Arthur Ave. The best pastries. Alot of people on the weekends head over there. I went to Mt. Carmel school for a while. Then St. Helenas.

Great picks, woman!

In honor of Cinco de Mayo, I made some Chilaquiles for breakfast.

And in celebration, here's some Tito Puente, Pete Escovedo and (his daughter) Shelia E.

My DH took me to a Pete Escovedo concert while we were dating, and I knew he was the one for me. :)

Hey Chester, have you ever seen the TV show UNSUNG? It's mostly about musical artists who never got the recognition they deserved... at least, not mainstream attention. There's a ton of them on You Tube, you should check it out. I think there was one on Sheila E - she's so talented!

Ha! Thanks for posting this cubbeegirl, I was going to put it up today as part of my continuing effort to rid the songs I parodied of the Jodi Ju-Ju.

Here's another one; to be honest I've never been a fan of Helen Reddy, but this song was simply BEGGING to be spoofed once ALV got on the stand:

When I was a child, we took the bus to Orchard Beach and also went to Rye Beach; sometimes to Jones Beach. I thought Orchard Beach was MY beach:

When I was older, my parents lived on Arthur Avenue. Before I left NYC for New jersey, I lived in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn with all the Guidos :floorlaugh: :

Da Bronx - YouTube :seeya:

Thanks for the videos. Remember all the street games? A documentary was made about that. Robert Klein, Regis Philbin, Rob Reiner, Penny Marshall who still has friends here are from the Bronx. Edgar Allen Poe lived in the cottage thats located in Poe Park.

21 years ago today, Stevie Ray Vaughan played his last concert at Alpine Valley, Wisconsin. The last song was "Sweet Home Chicago" with Eric Clapton, Robert Cray, Buddy Guy and his brother Jimmy. An hour or so later he died in a helicopter crash on the ski hill...I had tickets to see him, Mr. Clapton and Gregg Allman a few days after at the Audabon Zoo in New Orleans...Mr. Clapton walked onto the stage, said not a word about it and played his *advertiser censored* off...ditto Mr.Allman...their silence and their performances spoke volumes...What a huge loss...

Watching David Cook on AI was the first time I ever wished I were A LOT younger - something about him that spoke to my inner college-age self.

Great choice!
