I think we scared Sleuthy away with all the talk about long-haired, hunky men or maybe he has a life.

We don't seem to have any Country on the Sidebar (although it's not my favorite):

Tim McGraw - Live Like You Were Dying - HQ (Official) - YouTube

Patsy Cline - Crazy - YouTube

tammy wynette stand by your man - YouTube

I think you are correct, my friend! Hopefully he'll magically appear with our afternoon LTD mantra.

Your song choices are pretty great - Mr. M. loves that Tim McGraw song... it's superb. Patsy Cline is just wonderful! And Tammy - that hair!!!!

Mr. M. is a big fan of Jimmy Webb and suggested these that he wrote...

This one almost became a parody:

Maybe this will bring our Funkmeister back:

Hey Chester, have you ever seen the TV show UNSUNG? It's mostly about musical artists who never got the recognition they deserved... at least, not mainstream attention. There's a ton of them on You Tube, you should check it out. I think there was one on Sheila E - she's so talented!

This is so interesting, Vivian, thank you so much. Sheila has such interesting stories. Can you imagine growing up in a household where Santana would stop by to play music?

That show reminded me of Tower of Power.

Also, Al Jarreau is on that show!

Love him!

It looks like someone uploaded the whole album of a concert of him in Europe.

I wore this album OUT in the 70s. :)

And got to see him live once, it was incredible.

Love all the Glen Campbell, especially By The Time I Get TO Phoenix.

We should all go to NYC. We'll start with a visit to the Bronx Zoo:

And cross the street to the Botanical Gardens:

Take the train to Manhattan:

Stop at the Metropolitan Museum of Art:

Get something to eat in Little Italy:

Then, maybe stop at the Met for some opera to see Otello (Othello)

YESorNO, you put together a fabulous tour of NYC! But folks better wear comfy shoes cause there's a lot of walking to do.

The absolute highlight of your tour for me was the Little Italy segment; that was pretty funny and could easily have been an SNL skit but I'm here to tell anyone not familiar - these guys really do exist and can be found in any Italian neighborhood in NYC! Also, a warning for anyone who's hungry and is craving good Italian food - DON'T WATCH! Papa John's just won't do.

Now I want a sfogliatelle! Thanks!

Had to come back to add this:

This goes out to the "no jury will convict me" killer. It Will be ironic when you hear that Murder 1 verdict being read, even more so when you get the DP.

Ha my first job was being a DJ at country radio station. I was 17. I worked there till I was 21. I learned a lot about technical stuff, computers, and country music. I'm not a huge fan of country, but I learned that a lot of people like at least one country song. It was interesting.

My husband loves county music... I would rather stick a rusty fork in my eye than listen to it.

Watching David Cook on AI was the first time I ever wished I were A LOT younger - something about him that spoke to my inner college-age self.

Great choice!

Younger? Oh, my goodness, Viv!

Sounds like you need some of this!

How do you know I wasn't once long-haired and hunky myself? My wife says I'm still quite handsome at 55. :floorlaugh: Meanwhile, this one if for all you ladies.
