if you're not from Texas you may not understand. I love Aunt Pearl, and her bitter pills.

Oh my gosh, I Like to Bend Pages! When the Tuna guys played in San Diego, we laughed so hard for so long that our faces hurt. They are phenomenal!

I used to work as a Certified Coding Specialist for a Level 1 trauma center in Houston. (Lots of stabbings and gunshot wounds). I had to code from the Emergency Room MD's notes and sometimes from autopsy reports. So, that is my background. According to the autopsy report, TA's superior vena cava and jugular and carotid artery were cut. IMO, the wounds on his back were superficial compared to those injuries.

Jodi was trying to make it seem the nine wounds on his back were no big deal. However the ME's description was not superficial, it was sharp forced injuries that reached his bones which stopped the knife from going any further. Some of the shallow wounds chipped the bone away. Travis would not have died from the injuries to his back but Jodi should not get away with calling them superficial when she, herself, whines about cutting herself "superficially" with a razor. It appears she was trying to minimalize his suffering with that statement.

Hey everyone. LOTS to update, if anyone is interested. lol

I saw a Pulmonologist a few weeks ago and he determined (after all kinds of weird breathing tests) that i have asthma and prescribed an inhaled steroid. I'm still unemployed and without insurance so that sucker is expensive! So far, so good though. Between that and the "rescue inhaler" I carry I'm doing well.

I think I'm finally getting my personal life under control. In case you haven't noticed from my erratic and ridiculous posts, I have a drinking problem. I'm finally able to admit that! It took a lot for me to actually type that sentence, so be gentle with me. lol After a lot of soul-searching I decided to move back home with my parents and things are going great. I'm even going to church! Without going into a lot of detail (that's for the Jury Room, if i ever decide to post there), I'm finally feeling some peace.

I love you guys and miss y'all so much! I hope everyone is doing well.

Three cheers for M!!!! So glad that you are doing so well.
Peace is such a wonderful feeling. Glad you are feeling it.

For all the twd and daryl fans....I couldn't help myself hah.
Happy Xmas to me

M, I am so glad you got a diagnosis. I too have asthma and am prone to pneumonia. When bronchitis hits, asthmatics have a harder time kicking it. I hope you continue to feel better.

I am really proud of you on so many levels. In admitting that you have a drinking problem, it is a huge first step. You can't change what you don't acknowledge. A lot of people self medicate with alcohol. So many people try to dull the pain in their lives by drinking, and it can be very self destructive. I hope you will try AA meetings as I think you will find many who share in your pain on some level. It is so important to get healthy and it sounds like you have taken the first huge step. Moving home hopefully will give you the support system you need as you embark on your journey of sobriety.

Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas and a fab New Year. Plz keep us posted and let us know how your are doing. We too can be a support system for you whenever you feel like reaching out. Hugs to you. :loveyou:

They are in CT tonight. This is the first year, in years, that hubby will not be going. It has been our tradition. The music is awesome and loved by all ages. Reason we will not be there is because my daughters graduating from nursing school this afternoon.

Congratulations to your daughter!!!

I'm all for hearing alternative views on this case though .. anything is preferable to the one eyed view we were force fed by most of the MSM.
I'm all for that too, but the article didn't accomplish that due to the author's obvious bias. :twocents:

Since it is getting close to the "big day", and I know it just gets busier from here on out, I just want to send wishes to all my WS forum buds before time gets away from us all....

HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!

I thought she made some great points actually. I think overall here we have been way too pro-prosecution, although the pitchfork carriers on the State vs JA Facebook page were worse. I learnt a big lesson over the last few months about not being so one sided with cases. It's valuable to see things from as many sides as possible.

Glad to hear you are doing well. We missed you.

m1279, you hang in there girl!! you can make it. My uncle was 46 years dry when he passed. He said it was harder to give up smoking than drinking. He was know at AA as George V. (the fifth) in New Mexico. DONT GIVE UP. as for asthma, welcome to the club!! You are Loved! :loveyou:

I have to get Josie's post out of my head. Just wanted to know if the weather has impacted anybody's Christmas shopping? And I would love to know what you all have asked Santa for this year. I know all of you have been very NICE and only a little naughty when nobody was looking!

Well, all I need/want are slippers; which I got!! Oops - the Huz is giving them to me, but I bought them! :floorlaugh:

 M! On your asthma medicine - Astrazenca gives out free inhalers if you are on the "poor" side and can't afford your medicine. My Huz gets his from them; I get my Celebrex free from Pfizer. Check it out! And Congrats on your staying sober! I don't drink anymore either - haven't in about 15 or so years; the Huz quit 2 years ago, but that was because of his heart problems - he HAD too! Good Luck on that! :loveyou:

Hey Nymeria - could you give me a link on "where" you got those Mickey Mouse Christmas stuff???!!! TIA!! :please:

and Bravo = Merry Christmas and Happy New year to you too! :seeya:

I agree with the circus-like atmosphere around the trial, but that was because Jodi never met a camera she (or her various body parts) didn't like. Otherwise, I found the author of this piece to be very biased in favour of Jodi. I mean she described the knife wounds on Travis' back as 'superficial'. There is nothing ever superficial about 27 stab wounds. She totally lost me when she referred to Laviolette as a 'well-respected domestic violence expert'. :floorlaugh: She also referred to the 'haters', one of Jodi's favorite terms, so there you have it. (No offense intended to the person who posted the link.) :twocents:

Jodi will always blame everyone else for everything. Those who want to hold her accountable will always be haters, and she'll never realize how much of a hater she is in what she says and what she tweets.

She hates the Alexanders because they want her to pay for her sin; she hates Juan Martinez because he exposed her physically, and mentally for what she is, and she hates us because we've seen it all, we've laughed, we've made jokes, we've told of our total disgust for her and she can't manipulate and threaten us.

I want to see the justice that the Alexanders want for Travis, but wouldn't mind LWOP if she could be shut up, and shut away from everyone till she dies.

Aylce LaViolette's rigid mindset, her failure to seek the truth on both sides, will follow her till the day she dies. Maybe it will happen before her retirement funds runs out. I feel sorry for all the men and kids lives she's ruined.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. :)

I haven't been on in awhile...nobody has heard yet from Princess???
