Hi Kensie, wishing you a Birthday full of peace and love. Our sons Godfather just passed also. Just remember they are having Christmas with Jesus this year.
Love you, Noreen. :cake4u: :loveyou:

"It's a Wonderful Life". I cant watch it anymore, was also my sons favorite. Such a precious movie.:christmastree:

Gosh darn, I wish I'd remembered to do this earlier, this DD course is taking forever. I was up til 3 am, still didn't finish. Almost there though. :)

Just for fun, for whoever shows up here today, what's your favorite Christmas movie? I have several, but I could use a little Clark W. Griswold right now. ;) Then back to my laborious task.

Christmas Vacation (2/10) Movie CLIP - The Griswold Family Christmas Tree (1989) HD - YouTube

I think I am going to try to find that movie on Netflix and watch it today. Cousin Eddie is always good for a few good laughs.

Yes. I don't remember the forum but I made a comment that suri Cruise looked like she had a wig on, this was years ago. I was crucified for that comment.

*BBM* :floorlaugh:

Try to have a Happy Bday Kensie, I am sure the friend you lost would not want you to be miserable on your day. Celebrate as much as you can in her honor.

Lol Neesaki, move over as I would be your driving twin. I swear I think I look like Mr. Bean in that photo all the time.

Trying to find some Christmas spirit. Haven't seen any lights outside, think I will walk around in the dark this weekend for a minute or two to find some. Job is never fun, deal with the worst of the worst, and a relapsed boss. Thankfully he is not the BIG MAN.

No Christmas specials without cable, but youtube will provide some I can look up. May have to pull out the old VCR and VHS tape I made many years ago of a lot of Christmas Specials. Movie? IDK. There are not many? Oooh, ooh, I know.

To keep posts short.

Put on the browser and boy is that helpful! Maybe I should try plus? I don't like extensions for tracking and vulnerabilities though. Not sure which browser to switch to now.

Bought some cheap hams. Yep, plural. $10 total. Intend to share some with friends, and freeze some for later mac n' cheese or eggwhite omelets or green beans, or whatever comes to mind.

Forgot to buy brown sugar. Just tried to mix some up. Uuuuuhhhh, I hope it will not be a big ball of molasses in a bowl of sugar tomorrow.

At least I remembered pineapple, and already have whole cloves. No maraschino cherries, but the decor doesn't matter for me cooking for me and just giving cut up slices to friends and the freezer.

Okay, back to movies. Of course we all love Miracle of 42nd, but me being the dark soul I am, the delver of souls, the worry wart child and adult, this was always my favorite. (I hope it doesn't get taking down for posting as some youtubes do):

I am a fan of "A Christmas Carol" also, I liked a version that had George C. Scott in it. I also liked the 1935 version. When I was a kid the ghost of Marley scared me (I like Halloween more than Christmas, therefore I liked being scared, lol).
My favorite version has to be the Muppets though, my son had the VHS tape of it and literally wore it out, he watched it ALL the time. Annoying then, but now that he is grown it has a special place in my heart :loveyou:

I also like the Jim Carey version of the Grinch, I like how they made Whoville come to life. And a Christmas Story, the Xmas eve marathon is such a tradition now. Oh and the Griswalds, you have to love it.....*SQUIRRRRELLLLL!!!!*

My favorite holiday movie is "Rudolph, the Red Nosed Reindeer". I have watched it every year since I was a child. To me, it represents the true spirit of Christmas and then some. Acceptance of those that are different, giving, forgiveness, and charity.

"Elf" was a funny movie that I enjoy watching every year since it came out. Same idea as Rudolph. Loving those that are different.

Squirrel in the house.

Well, I had that happen a few times back when I was married.

We just let the squirrel roam, it fell in through the chimney, and it's family members for years.

Just open the doors, open the windows.

Take pictures, that is what I did. No brooms and towels, no screaming, just let it go and take pictures. They find their way, just like birds. Open, tell them here it is and walk away.

It got so bad that the 90 something year old neighbors would call me to make cats stop trying to get squirrels and birds on the street. I got scratched up a lot holding down a cat from food, but saved Crazy Squirrel and her offspring.

Crazy Squirrel spat at cats and had a tail to show injuries. She got so comfy from us feeding her, she would beg on the window. She had to climb a porch swing and beg, if we did not notice she would cling to the window screen. Peanuts or tortilla chips were her favorite. She eventually would climb up when we sat outside, onto us, knowing she was safe and would be fed.

Bizarre times I miss. I still talk to all outside animals and they still like it. Cannot explain it.

What's the weather like where everyone is? We got freezing rain last night and the roads are still really icy. We're in for another winter storm this weekend, starting tomorrow afternoon probably. I'll probably hibernate all weekend.

Getting ready to watch the I Love Lucy special with my mom and my aunt. My plump fur baby Sam is lounging on the couch next to me in front of the space heater. :)

Stay warm M.
