I just love all The Godfather movies.
I have always wondered why they said "Drop the gun, leave the cannoli" :floorlaugh:
I mean, why drop the gun? Didn't make any sense to me. "Take the cannoli" I can understand.
Well, I finally Googled it this year and found out that they drop the gun because after they finished "whacking" the person, they don't want to be found with the gun on them- just in case the police apprehend them.
Just some stupid stuff you don't need to know or maybe I'm just stupid. :floorlaugh: :floorlaugh:

Gosh I miss my little pug. This has really hit me hard

So, sorry for your loss. We lost our beagle two years ago come May. It was so hard to make a decision but we did what was best. That did not make it easier to do though. We do not have a dog now. I wish we d,id as I would really love to hug and snuggle up with a furry pet. Maybe someday. In the meantime I have been enjoying my daughters German Shepherd. What a beauty she is and she loves hugs and belly rubs.

Zoey, Ricki... my heart is with you. I lost my almost 14-year-old best friend cat Wednesday. The kitties in my avatar are the one-year-olds I adopted a year ago, a few months after my other older cat died. They made a big difference in the last year of my older cat's life. They cheered him up and made him act like a kitten again.

Now, they are missing their "uncle" and are also giving me endless comfort.

I still don't feel old yet.

Adilia my mil, swore that her doctor told her that if you swept your house everyday you'd always be in shape and not get fat; hmmm I wonder if she was trying to tell me something? was I getting fat or lazy?

Of course you don't feel old- you're only 20 in your mind (I feel 24 in my mind :floorlaugh:)- in reality, my body feels 80 :floorlaugh:.

Here's a little prayer I found (did I post this already?- I forget :floorlaugh:):

A prayer for aging with dignity

I don’t want to grow old God. I don’t want any part of it. But since I have no power to stop the clock, my prayer is this: Let me age with grace.
Show me the way, God. Be with me. Grant health to my body and clarity to my mind. Give me strength. Help me to overcome my vanity. Teach me to combat self-pity. Don’t allow me to become set in my ways. Shield me from isolation and from loneliness.
May the love of my family and friends be my reward for all the struggles of my youth.
Let all the blessings of age emanate from me. Let wisdom flow from my mouth, let compassion flow from my heart, let acts of kindness flow from my arms, let faith flow from my soul, let joy shine forth from my eyes. Amen.

Fat or lazy??? maybe both :floorlaugh: :floorlaugh:
Nice MIL to give you such good advice. She's worried about you?

It's the Year of the Horse. :drumroll:

"As horses can be both elegant dressage steeds and sturdy workhorses, the Year of the Horse is about hard work and noble effort and hope."

But here are some clips of horsey movies:

From ILikeToBendPages
kids today have too much time on their hands, cellphones, laptops and tablets; they need to get more exercise, get out and dance, but then again there are no teen dances at the rec centers anymore.

I totally agree with you. These kid have technology devices in their hands at a very young age, and although they can keep them busy or "Babysit them," as you will, it seems they get so attached, they can't do without, like their Binky when they were baby's.
I remember dances at the rec. They were held every Friday night and in between they would be held at the High School. Always fun and always lots of dancing with friends. Now they have police at the door checking the kids in and out and there is no more rec. Ugh. So, much fun when I was younger.

Oh yes! I remember. We'd go to ywca for dances. My boyfriend and I would sit in a corner and just talk!!. We really enjoyed that. I've wondered why they dont have the dances now. Kids dont know what fun is.:please:

I know. When I was a teen they had dances at the Y which was a bit far to go if you could not drive, but also at the firehouse once or twice a month. They would pull the trucks outside and have a dance for the local teens on a Friday night.

Another 'bowl' or three:

How good of you to bring the popcorn! :loveyou:

(just tell those people to get their hands out of the bowl and those other people to stop stepping on the popcorn, please. Didn't their mothers teach them manners) :princes:
 :floorlaugh:

Last night Hallmark aired one on my favorite episodes of Frasier. I know the episode that gramma Nore loves is when Niles tries to iron his pants, but this one is so funny.
Take a look:

Frasier Season 11 Episode 14 : Freudian Sleep - YouTube

It's snowing and 40 degrees! Unbelievable! :snowball:
Good thing I have a pot roast in the crockpot. :applause:

Looks like Travis' old friend Dave Hall has gotten himself in a little bit of trouble.

Boy scout leaders charged for toppling ancient Utah rock formation and then posing for photographs high-fiving above the rubble

YoNo, I had no idea it was The Year of The Horse! I hope that means that the mares I am going to great lengths to breed will come into foal. I am so excited at the prospect. I have spent countless hours researching stallions to find two that best suit my mares. So much goes into the decision making process. I have researched bloodlines, movement and attributes, previous foals and offspring as well as looking at hours of videos. I belong to a Sporthorse Breeding forum and saw where people liked the cross I was planning.

Mind you, I have been talking about this for months. Last week, I told my husband what the other breeders on the Sporthorse Breeding forum said. He said "Wait, what are you doing?" LOL. I think I have been tuned out. Or he hears blah, blah, blah.

*Snipped by me *

Is the ironing one the episode where he keeps passing out because his finger is bleeding and he can't take the sight of blood?
If so, that is a funny episode :)

Niles cuts his finger and keeps passing out. :floorlaugh:
Here's that episode:

Fraiser - Niles Fire - YouTube

The episode I posted:

"freudian sleep":
Frasier's radio show is receiving very few calls, and Niles has been losing patients and arguing with Daphne. Martin, on the other hand, is offered the chance to spend the weekend at a house in the mountains with Ronee, courtesy of her boss. They inadvertently end up inviting Frasier, Niles and Daphne to join them, and seeing the state those three are in, Martin and Ronee feel compelled not to let them down. They all go to the house determined to have a relaxing time, but once there Frasier has a nightmare in which he has murdered Niles and is married to Daphne. Soon afterwards, Niles has a nightmare about the stresses of being a father, and then Daphne also has one in which she puts on copious weight after childbirth and Niles sleeps with other women. The three of them all end up in the kitchen in the middle of the night arguing, and it falls to Martin to sort them out.

Both funny episodes.

Ricki, your job sounds really cool! Congratulations! I know they will soon wonder how they got along without you all this time. Good luck!
