I just posted this in the re-trial thread.
I'm just flabbergasted :jawdrop:

The only mitigating factor Jodi really has left is the "remorse" -
and after this letter, how can she or her defense team even speak about remorse.

She, in detail, describes the murder of their brother as she nearly skates by with her own life.
She puts this in writing, that takes more thought than just talking to a detective.
She's tested by doctors (plural), that she has PTSD from this event. Two strangers killing Travis.
Which she KNOWS is not true

But NOW she wants to say she's sorry?

WOW, the magnitude of this letter, at this time in court, is POWERFUL!

I'm not one for the death penalty - I could never be on a jury, but I'll tell ya,
this sure is making me think that IF I WAS on THIS jury, I'd have to follow the law and
this just shows how opposite of remorse this lady (said loosely) really is.

It's 12 degrees here, so no complaining from Arizona allowed.

I bought a newspaper today and there was an article about 2 of my son's clients that overdosed with some bad heroin called "diesel"- my son had told me about it this week.
I told him about the article and he started to read it, but he came to me and said, "guess I don't know how to read the newspaper".
The article was on the first page and continued on pg A7. He didn't know what A7 meant!!! I had to show him.

I don't know about children today. :sheesh:

Thanks Bernina for the posts. Yes or No we missed you! I was able to keep up so much easier by reading here today. The truth is coming out and finally, I don't think the jurors will be able to stand looking at Jodi Arias, even if she does testify again. What could she say once they've seen the letter? She is a horrible person.

I agree Ruby. Think of this...if she were a man she would already be on death row. That sweet little act she has won't work anymore.

IMO, the chameleon thing Jodi is playing will most definitely NOT work to her advantage. The jury will see it as validation of the games she played with Travis. Jodi was in control of that relationship until travis decided enough was enough and told her to get lost. That's when she lost it.

As far as the jury foreman William Z 'strong-arming' the last jury, it would not have been necessary. Even if everyone else wanted the DP, it would have to be a unanimous decision. His lone vote of LWOP would have been enough to necessitate the hung jury and retrial.

It's been a long time since I posted regularly. I mostly lurk now, as I'd be in perpetual band camp if I signed in and flapped my gums.

I was here on WS everyday during the guilt phase and ..ahem..let my sarcasm loose upon the world as the knife wielding Ginsu Queen spun her tale of woe. Now I'm just screamy and yelly in private. Definitely not as much fun, but then again, I shouldn't look at this as fun..
But, man, when our Prosecutor starts shredding lies, it's exhilarating! I had to pop in and take part in the euphoric goodness.
It was crazy watching 1000 members and guests vent, standing strong in outrage in defense of Travis.

Dr. Geffner, reminds me of Aunt Clara of Bewitched....fumbly and forgetful...without the charm.
The tragedy of it all, he was just another pawn in this ugly little chess game of the murderess.
These players in her defense will never regain credibility in their professional lives.

Wow!!! A great ending to today. I think JA is trying to show some skin to look sexy. She has looked better yesterday and today. Still ugly IMO.

Has anyone seen this? I don't know if I can post it on the retrial thread. It's different stories from January 22, in JA's own words, comparing them with text messages. Regarding the $$ she borrowed $699, Travis lent her $200 and the body slam/abuse/broken finger fake incident. This is GREAT.

Than you, Y/N. And Good Morning to you, too. I re-read RVMD, and it appears he asked the JUDGE, so nothing official, at least not yet. Do you remember that the judge gave Nurmi "extra time" to do or file something yesterday? Could it be for this? I know that is a very vague question, but I don't remember what that was about, either.
