BBM. Yep. My friend was at the point where he wanted someone to know. I used to ask him why he was sharing............"Because someone needs to know the truth."

I picked up a micro cassette for him so we could tape his conversations.............and he took an overdose before we got serious, EMT's took him to the VA Hospital, he was fine......and then somehow his pain medication got doubled and he died.

Ok, Bernina, this is seriously scary.

Afternoon all! Well, I see you've all been busy little
bee-smiley.gif
posting away...
For breakfast I had some nice warmed up bearclaws sprinkled with powdered sugar and some Starbucks, Latte Moche!!

 I read that you have to have your ears showing in the picture and all times. Strange rule!!

Here will this help -

That is so sweet Niner, and yes, it helps more than you know. I just so hate when I feel in such a way that I behave badly. Thankfully, I do feel some better today, less brain fog and not as pizzed off. You are such a sweetheart. :loveyou:

I really need to convince myself to:

1. Go to Starbucks (there's one inside Safeway)
2. Pull an insane amount of money out of my wallet for "coffee"
3. Try one of those strawberry fraps

And now you kids can convince me, or not, if it's worth it!!!!

:floorlaugh:
Oh, it's totally worth it! The only coffee I drink besides DH's. I get Peppermint Mochas with whipped cream. You can get them yearround, but they only advertise them at Christmas time. And I don't drink coffee on a daily basis. The Strawberry Frappe is a cream-based drink. If you get one, enjoy it knowing Jodi can't!

Had that day Monday. My high point was Jodi getting a life sentence. Everything else about the day sucked. Got woken up by both DH & DD calling me to tell me she forgot her homework and to bring it to school for her, then did that and got hung up when her principal wanted to talk to me (no, she's not in trouble), so I was 10 min. late to my Dr's appointment for which I'd been fasting for 12 hours- then they refused to see me and the receptionist was *****y about it.I had to beg them to draw my blood anyway and reschedule the appt for today to get my Cholesterol results. (I'm so pissed off I've decided to change doctors- and they'd written "no show" in my chart, which was a lie!) Then, when I picked up DD from school on Mon., I had to take her to the doctor for a skin infection she got two weeks ago that wasn't healing. The ointment she prescribed for her gave her an allergic reaction, so back to the doctor we went Tues. And DD gave me attitude about everything on Mon. And had to do laundry, dishes, and cooking, DH was working overtime. Can you say sucked!!! Thank goodness for Jodi's sentencing.

I despise when certain doctors are like that. Its just not right. Some of them are even getting to the point of charging patients fees if we have to reschedule and its less than 2 days before the appointment.

I can understand it if they have a problem patient, but then deal with the problem patient but dont take it out on the rest of us.

Here is what bugs me the most.
I will typically arrive early about 20-30 minutes and then I sit in the waiting area, waiting and wiating and I never get seen at my scheduled time even. Usually about 30 minutes or more AFTER my appointment time, I will finally get called back. But hang on.....this is where the big "FAKE OUT" or MUSICAL CHAIRS/MUSICAL ROOMS games begin.

They will take me back, make me get on a scale in the hall to pretend they are starting to do something, and then off to a room I go. Then the dreaded "door closing" happens as the physician assistant (PA) politely says....."Doctor will be with you shortly".
Yeah right!!!
And I dont want to buy the Brooklyn Bridge either.

And here's where things get interesting. We begin to train our ears to listen carefully as anybody gets close to outside our door, and all we here is other room's doors opening + closing and people coming + going. And yet, there we sit waiting with nothing more than the 1 or 2 stinking old magazines that are filled with germs.

Sometimes there is the "FALSE ALARM" where we heard someone coming. We perk up for a minute, and then go right back to sulking as we realize it wasnt our room.

And this games a kick in the teeth.
Sometimes a nurse will finally arrive, we perk up, and we think things are going to finally happen for us. Well...."FAKE-OUT" time....its just the PA to take your blood pressure or temperature, and waiste some more time to make you think you are getting attention.
Its right at this point where some doctors even use the "MUSICAL ROOMS" game. After the blood pressure and/or thermometer, the PA will then escort you to.....you guessed it.....a different room. For what? To wait some more of course.

The physchological games they are playing here on us are all very crafty and finely tuned. They have been developed over years of practice and the doctors coordinating their methods amongst each other.

If you have ever experienced the "2nd MUSICAL ROOM" game, you will always notice that the 2nd room is always much more elaborate and has more doctor "stuff" in it than the 1st room. Thats to make you realize that yes, you will finally get to the see the doctor next. They have delayed all they could and this is their way to show you that this should be it now.

When the doc finally comes in, it is typically at least an HOUR past our originally scheduled office visit time (remember the 30 minute original delay in the public waiting room PLUS the extra 30 minute delay time with all the games just played on you).

When the Doc finally comes in, its at this point where we have to do some pretending of our own.
We have to pretend that the way they just disrepected our valuable time is normal.
Its just how it is. Our lives and our schedules are not important. It doesnt matter if we just lost an hour's pay that day for nothing. It doesnt matter if someone back at our office is waiting on us. Our schedules are not important of course. Its a 1-way street here at the Docs office or Dentist office.

And herein lies my pet-peave about this subject. If they are going to not give a crap about being on time for their (our) appointment and they are constantly being late for it, then don't get mad at us if we happen to be late once OR we have to reschedule once in a blue moon.

I understand the docs and their staff may have certain problem patients that are not prompt and may cancel way too often. Well, take it out on them. But dont hurt the rest of us if your own procedures are to make us constantly wait an hour or more as part of the "OFFICE ROUTINE".

END-RANT.

Sorry I got carried away....LOL
I am actually in a very good mood today. :)

Cheers everyone.

Cheers Hatfield! Sounds like one of my doctor visits!! LOL! I know - NOT a laughing matter - I ALWAYS bring a book with me - at least I can finish a chapter or two while I wait! :waiting:

Hello Niner. A book is a great idea. I never think to bring something to entertain like that. Great idea.

I think we should be paid to wait, deduct it from our bill, heck they can charge us for being a "no show", the street goes both ways as far as I'm concerned!

The whole "move to the 2nd room"? Oh yeah, lots more gadgets and instruments and then you have the thought about the doc dropping the Big C on you..........then you have to remind yourself it's just a sore throat or runny nose.

You forgot the whole "pee in the cup" ordeal. And they usually never tell you where to put it so you're standing there with this warm "specimen" cup, trying to get the receptionist's attention while other patients avoid you like the plague, looking at you weird like your pee is slightly off color.

I've long believed she was killed by someone. If not ordered by Kennedy, (she was also a threat to his marriage), then by the Mafia. But I thought they shoved drugs up her butt???

My old OSS friend said both Kennedy brothers spent time with her the night she "died". That's before she actually died.

MM got this crazy Mafia, Kennedy/Presidency, and Cuba thing going, and it was the "pillow talk" that was concerning for the people that decided to finally do her in.

She had enough pharmaceuticals in her to put her asleep, then just put a syringe into an uncommon place (he said it was the neck).

Have a question for you...do you know where the Army Base is located in New Mexico? My cousin's son and his family is transferring from the base at Tennessee to New Mexico. And my cuz could not remember the name. Was just wondering...

Like you, I am sick of #281129...wish she would just go POOF. As long as the media is still interested in her, sadly we wil still hear about her and see her pics plaster all over.

Have a great day in the sunshine :)

Hi coffeejunkie, Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. Been a busy day and just opened up the laptop.

The army base is White Sands Missle Range. Spectacular site. Really beautiful. We also have two Air Force bases.

Manzano, Kirtland or Sandia? They're outside of Albequerque, and one or more have been shut down, I think.....

WHITE SANDS!!!!!

White Sands is the correct answer!
Yay!!!:drumroll:

Yup, yup and yup. Remember that well. I was a Bostonian at the time and "people in the know" agreed with all that. ^ Peter Lawford was also involved. I've met both JFK and Teddy, but not Bobby. What a family, but nearly everyone from Mass adored them, including me.

Anything's possible. My old friend and neighbor who died 11 years ago was part of the OSS that was turned into the CIA. He was part of one of those "you've been authorized to do this but if you get caught, we don't know you".
This lines up to exactly what he told me years ago, other than not making the other connection to Jimmy Hoffa. He talked about injected overdoses as something that was part of their "tools", and it usually wasn't detected by coroners if they bothered to look for something nefarious.
He gave me the .308 that he claimed he had used in assassinations about a month before he overdosed. It's pretty strange, always kind of wondered if a ballistics test would match it to a bunch of deaths.
Do you mean he alluded to Jimmy Hoffa being an assassination? This is so fascinating to me!

Wow! Are you suspicious about his death?

BBM. Sounds like TurboTax has many of the same features as Tax Act...
Yes I think they are very similar and both are similar to Block's software. But I'm not sure if you can buy a CD for TaxAct. I always do the returns online.

I've never had Starbucks but I don't drink tea or coffee!

They also carry cream-based drinks, juices, and gourmet water, sandwiches, croissants, and other pastries.
