Morning womanfish! I thought of you the other day when, in a previous thread, there was some Bono love going around - I still smile when I think of your "Close Encounter of the U2 Kind".
Thanks for your tribute to Ray Manzarek - this one shocked us. It's always sad when we lose a great musician; I was pretty bummed out when Alvin Lee died a few weeks ago. I posted this before but I'll do it again to honor another great:
Ten years after - I'd love to change the world - YouTube
Tell me about it, I had the biggest crush on Alvin Lee, watching him makes me wish I was a guitar...

I am DEFINITELY going to have to use that phrase someday... well done! Where's segue? She'd come up with a song with those lyrics...
I loved your Inductees and agree that their selections are always random - R&R Hall of Fame, like the Grammys, is a big old political machine run by massive egos and the record labels... but don't tell anyone I said that!
I missed the news - who all was inducted?
Here's the stupid page with the stupid line-up

It always comes down to politics and ego, in everything. notfornuthin, Alvin Lee is NOT in the RRHOF nor is Ten Years After.
Good morning folks! Is anyone else having problems with the 'penalty phase' thread? I can't quote on that thread or post a comment. I keep getting 'data base error' Anyone else?
Now that is just criminal!!! No offense to any fans out there but, the biggest glaring WTF to me is Randy Newman!!!! Rock & Roll my rear!!! As far as I'm concerned, the only decent song he did was this...
Monk Intro - YouTube
... and that's because I love Monk and Tony Shalhoub... in fact, I much prefer this version:
Monk - It's a Jungle out There Snoop Dogg hip-hop versão - YouTube
While waiting for court this morning, I am watching videos of the Abaroa trial. The defenses opening statement talks about Websleuths!
I thought I'd try to wean myself off this trial by starting one where I had read nor heard anything about the case and listen as if I was on the jury. Already I've decided he's guilty and I've not made it through OS's. I don't think I'd be a good juror, I am much too pro-prosecution.
Yea, Viv, thanks for the En Vogue! And that Snoop version of "Its a Jungle Out There". Much prefer that to Randy Newman.
Here's my offering for today, it seems apropos since all we're going to hear today is Garbage. hee
[I love me some Garbage, don't get me wrong. Just not the Arias kind.]
Garbage - The Trick Is To Keep Breathing - YouTube
As for "garbage", I am so sick of this chick - I'm ready to place a call to Tony Soprano's waste management company to finally take out the trash!
What gets me is that it's the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Not the Disco HOF, not the Rap HOF. If they can exclude Chicago and Yes because they aren't considered R&R, how can they possibly induct members of other genres?
Ouch, just fell off my soapbox...
