Actually, no laywers in this case wooed me. There is only one who has in recent history and I will not mention his name :silenced:

I couldn't listen to him either. I tried several times. I rarely mention it because it's such an unpopular opinion here, but IRL every single person I know that's been following the case at all really, really, really can't stand the guy. Granted, a lot of them are lawyers, but they don't practice in his area and they all have their own well-respected practices, so I don't think they're all merely jealous. And I KNOW they don't all feel sorry for Jodi. Most of them have thought from pretty early on that she would get life.

btw, one of them told me that his colleague actually has a photo of Jodi at a holiday dinner with his family. He said that a family member was working wherever she did at the time and invited her b/c she told him she had no plans. :yikes:

I don't understand the personal attacks being made on this site anymore.

It's an opinion on his professional style! Not a personal attack ...So if I say Brad Pitt's last 5 movies suck donkey dung ... is that personal attack? No, it's not. If I say his wife is a serial adopter trying to build her own United Nations... Yes, it is personal.

For Jodi:

Why should we care that she missed out on Christmas or playing with her niece? That was really arrogant of her to mention.

Part and parcel of her malignant narcissism. Never once thought about TA being robbed of having children, but she whinged like crazy over losing out on motherhood.

it wasn't a juror!

Juror 17 said IT WASN"T A JUROR who got #5 in trouble!!!!!!

JSS has to know that she played a part in this. All the bending over for the DT to avoid the unavoidable appellate issues and BLAM! here we are, hung jury.

She really needs to think about her role in it over the next eight weeks. I'm not advocating for overcorrection or anything, but she tied the State's hands on a fairly regular basis.

JM can't do it alone.

I respect JSS, but her allowing never-ending interruptions of the state's case via DT's extended sidebars affected the outcome imo. It's like watching a movie with a commercial breaking in every 3 minutes and expecting the viewer will retain all the facts of the story.

The thing many people forget or don't realize is that Juan is not there for entertainment purposes, it does not matter if you or I like him. He is there to get a conviction and Justice for the victim. He has a stellar record. Doesn't matter what Josephine Public thinks.

AMEN! I don't think anyone would care about his style if their loved one was the victim. I know I would say just do whatever you legally can so the SOB can never walk free again!

All I know is, if I get killed while visiting California I want someone to drag me across the state line to AZ so Juan can prosecute my murderer!

Yes, I've seen you post that before, I think. Like I said, I understand that my pov is contrary to what most people here believe. But it is definitely what a lot of people who are not here think. Including a lot of the locals. I'm not lying when I tell you that I don't know one single person in my personal or professional life that has said that they like Juan's style and many have said (totally independent from any comment by me) that he has done his case more harm then good considering the mountain of evidence against her. If they're thinking that, and I'm thinking that, and people's moms are thinking that, and the foreman of the jury apparently thought that, then maybe it's worth considering that there might be something to it, imo.

JM is a good lawyer with a controversial style. Most of the people critical of his style were concerned that he could turn off jurors. Apparently, he did. Jury Foreman made it clear he was offended by JM and he felt sympathy for Jodi during her time under his questioning. No accounting for taste?

I agree- His passion for justice is what drives him. Perhaps people that think he is over doing it need to watch a few of his previous trials - same Juan, same passion.
You can't help but love him!

I think we're all a bit snarky.

Jodi is not as weak as she wants everyone to believe imo. Handstands anyone?

I'd like to ask this juror if Jodi's appearance was different, would he change his mind?

Oh my goodness, I so agree with you. It took me a looooooooong time during Yoga and Pilates to perfect the handstand and it was even longer before I could just roll into it on a dime. AND I always needed assistance getting into it and coming out of it. Maybe I was just a big baby and didn't want to risk breaking my neck. :D

But it takes a great deal of upper body strength to maintain that position the way she did. And she wasn't using the wall to balance, just as a guide on the way up. Imagine how much stronger she was in a rage with adrenaline pumping.

And I think she wears those awful baggy clothing along with the flat greasy hair to give the impression she's a stick figure but check the Evil Eye she's giving Juan. She's skinny but ...

... check out that bicep/tricep.

I've followed the same steps as you scorekeeper - even made sure that my java was up-to-date. Still nothing. I've pretty much given up on it. :banghead:

She is old school and I wanted to send her the autopsy photos, which she wouldn't look at. She had no real clue as to why Juan was being this way... once I explained to her the brutality of this crime, she kinda got it.

Also, my mom also said: "Maybe Jodi did really forget what happened that day."

I was like, really? You got to be kidding me.

I think jury selection kinda has to be a little more stricter. Kind of like getting a road test every couple years once you pass the age of 65. :doorhide:

That says more about your mother than Juan. His record speaks for itself. Impeccable. No one is forcing the public to watch...
