"He's merciless," Zervakos said of the lead prosceutor on he case. "I don't like being talked to like I'm stupid and I feel like that happened a few times."

Talk down to you? What is he even talking about? Ultra-sensitive, isn't he. This juror's got a screw loose imo. :moo:

I think the foreman just had a personal reaction to Juan Martinez. I didn't think he talked down to the jury AT ALL!! If anyone did it was Wilmott/Nurmi and LaViolette with her anecdotes about her gazillion un-named prior abuse victim patients.

But I do understand his saying he didn't like being talked to like he was stupid. For whatever reasons he felt like that. I was a juror in a drunk driving trial (interestingly, the defendant was a judge's wife :floorlaugh:). I remember the defense attorney stating to us how no one could possibly pass the field sobriety test even if sober. And he proceeded to demonstrate for us up at the podium and . . . wait for it . . . stumbled and practically fell down. I never felt so insulted in my life. Complete and utter fakery. Completely insulted each and every juror's intelligence. GMAB!

BBM~ No kidding, eh? Maybe that's what this dude wants? IDK, something is very off with him. (Juror #18). Here I thought maybe a scorned woman on the jury would feel sorry for Jodi...

Did you have a chance to look at some of the comments on the FB page? Holy cow are they scathing.

This guy is going to end up in the witness protection program with Matt McCartney.

I'd like to know how the man can reason that the killer was physically abused? A part of her hated TA imo, she thought enough to tape their sex talk, but the photographer took no pictures of physical abuse, come on.

I never thought of that. Her matyr complex - as it is so well put by one of our Sleuthers, InaLandFarFarAway: "Get down off the cross, Jodi - we need the wood!" - is so all-encompassing that it would be a minor miracle if Jodi Ann DIDN'T take pictures if she had been physically abused. She would have taken pictures, blown them up, framed them, mailed them to her friends and family, Travis' friends and family, and made-up strangers!

Oh man. You see how this trial can suck you into a vortex of dumb***ery? I was so incensed at the idea of it, I didn't even bother to look around the website. Satire is our friend.

Thank you for v-splashing my face with cold water. :giggle:

The funny thing is, with the jury foreman's comments and the craziness of this trial in general, it's easy to believe something like that. We've all jumped the gun before. I do it all the time.

BBM~ :floorlaugh: :floorlaugh:

Yes, that was downright DV 101.

I loved him, too! My BF thought he was over the top and grating. I loved watching him go after that smug defendant and ALV too..What I was saying was ....different strokes for different folks. Obviously he didn't win EVERYONE on the jury over. Bolded part is not my opinion. It's a fact.

Neither did Wilmott and Nurmi.

one never know what she tells them when they come to visit her in jail.. but then again CMJA never lived at home since she was 17. and since the family was never allowed to visit her during her 4 years with daryll ,MM and what other man she put claim on. doubt they was close. as one can see the family is all smiles and happy going on with their lives. weddings and grandkids and holidays and such no CMJA inculded. can't see a strong emotion bond.

It could be that the family is breathing a sigh of relief that she is someone else's problem now.

They may not have been close but CMja seems very erratic to me, given to impulsiveness and hopping into her car and driving for hours and hours or even days just to get in someone's face about some slight (real or imagined).

So for all we know she popped up at family get-togethers, wreaked her havoc and was on her way as if it were no big deal.

Now they're free to go on with things knowing exactly where she is and that she will no longer be dropping in to share all of her drama.

After the Pinellas 12 fiasco I can see why a prosecutor would dumb things down for the jury. :floorlaugh:

No kidding, the foreman doesn't like being talked down to yet had no idea the judge would call a mistrial?

You know what one of my downfalls were when I got taken in by a manipulating liar with ridiculous stories?

Being too polite and nice. I needed to develop my outer B!T@H.

That my middle name! I should start some classes...;)

It's a pretty high tribute to the state's case that Bill had to vote for 1st degree premeditated murder. Because JM proved the hell out of it.

Killed with same caliber gun just stolen from house where JA lives.
Cellphone off the whole time she's in the state of AZ
3 5-gallon gas cans full of gas----undeniably THREE

Coincidences like that do not happen. That's premeditation and even Bill had to vote for it.

The State's case was a slam dunk otherwise Mr. Foreman would have not voted to convict on 1st degree murder. Mr. Foreman also agreed that the crime was cruel enough to get to the penalty phase. Now, let's be thankful Mr. Foreman cannot serve on the 2nd penalty phase jury and also that JM will have a few months to prepare. Here's hoping that JM finds out the real reason for Travis' text outbursts on 5/26 so we can bury that "verbal abuse" claim by the DT. And also, here's hoping Arias keeps her gums flapping until the next penalty phase.

i live by where TA grew up until he went to mesa and they didn't cover it here at all

Can't ... Gotta stay in Az

Fear not, there is never a shortage of uninvolved, uninformed, live under a rock types out there. You know the ones that couldn't give a crap about anything.

I've not watch any videos with this foreman.... maybe he is not right in his brain cells. according to this forum it seems this foreman been all over the place.... if he have a wife/kids they should stop him from making himself a reality fool... it seems he was one of the four that hung the jury in this phase. and his love for the CMJA is getting out of hand...

Sorry to ask, this may have been answered but what is the name on his facebook page? TIA

Yep, ITA and that's what I yelled at my TV the whole while AVL was on the stand! LOL

They can find a jury in Utah. I understand it was not emphasized there at all and certainly didn't get the gavel-to-gavel coverage it got elsewhere.

Ana

Really? Considering that it's been dubbed in some circles the "Mormon murder trial" that's surprising to me. Don't the Hughes and a bunch of the friends of Travis and other witnesses live in Utah (Clancy, Ryan Burns, etc.)

By that point, they'll both be chewing on their hair and cursing the day they ever heard the name J. A. A.

:floorlaugh:

He actually thought he was going to become a superhero!!

It breaks my heart to see so many members being at discord. We are here for one purpose only. To seek Justice for Travis and his family. And it's always been like this. This is NOT something that has begun happening "lately", as some members have suggested. I love and respect ALL member here. I couldn't have made it through my brother's trial, without your support. More importantly, Think of the Mods, and the work they do? It's all voluntary, and I for one appreciate all their hard work. They work (voluntarily) 16, 18, 20 hours a day, taking away from their personal lives, for US, the members. We are a family! We may not agree on everything, but I think one thing we share is mutual respect. It's only fair, that we show the Mods the same respect. They work for us, so that we can have a place to congregate and support each other. That being said, I love you all! I have yet to meet, ONE member here , that I didn't like. I didn't agree with all opinions, but I respected it. Horace and I got off on the wrong footing. I sent him a pm and apologized. He is now, one of my favorite members. Please take the time to reflect before hitting post. We need each and every one of you. With that being said, I hope I didn't step on any toes. Let God guide your judgement, and pray for peace among us. Love you all dearly!
Tulessa....
