So, I'm not sure what y'all are talking about but just wanted to pop in and say that after hearing what Juror No. 10 had to say it appears the 4 lifers were all the older jurors. It wasn't a gender thing but a age thing. I think that all the sex talk got to the older folks. They all thought the sex that was discussed ad nauseum was abusive and that's what saved her life. Unbelievable.

So if Juan can keep the older people off the panel and limit all the insane (and completely irrelevant) talk about sex Jodi will be sentenced to Death. He needs to stop the defense from putting forth facts that don't have anything to do with the crime.

I feel like I'm beating a dead horse, but I don't think age had anything to do with it. Whatever you think about life right now, that's the way you will view it when you age. I don't think any differently now, than what I did when I was in my 20's.
According to the description of the jurors, 6 of the 12 were 60 or older. Only 4 were 40 or younger. That leaves 2 in their 50's. What does that say to age being a factor? Assuming all 4 younger ones voted for death, at least 4 older ones voted for death too.

Is this her?: Michelle Ward Ph.D. http://investigation.discovery.com/tv-shows/stalked/bios/michelle-ward.htm

Yes that's her!!!

:seeya: morning

Did they say what day and time?? I'm on my way home from vacation, and I'm actually going through HLN withdrawal as they don't have it here, nor do they have CNN. I feel so out loop about what's going on back home!!!

They didn't!! Only that it would be later this week! I'm looking forward to seeing it!

Forget squirrels. I have little pikas that live here with me in the Rocky Mountains

I know right???? One text out of what 80,000 between the two???? So frustrating.

There can be ways of spreading out the age of the jurors. And I think it needs to be more balanced in order to get a verdict this time around.

Frankly I think Juan needs to hammer home the fact that one text was one of very very very few texts that Travis lost his temper. And Juan NEEDS to give context of what Travis was being put through by Jodi before he sent that May 26th text message. It's absolutely key. The next jury needs to understand how Jodi had gotten out of hand with her stalking behavior. Travis was simply too naive and too unsophisticated in dealing with romantic relationships to have the knowledge base to get rid of psycho Jodi.

I agree, but how is Juan gonna do that when his hands are tied? I mean, he can't talk about slashing tires, he can't talk about hiding under x-mas tree (except thru someone else), he can't talk about getting into house without his knowledge (per DeAnna, Jodi baking cookies and Jodi's car was NOT parked in driveway), hiding in his closet (heard that somewhere). I mean, I understand how the jury would think that June 4 just sprang up suddenly out of nowhere, WHEN ARE GIVEN NO CONTEXT as to the events in Travis and JOdi's relationship. They probably think they were not shown anything b/c it wasn't there, but they don't know that it's because THE JUDGE WON"T ALLOW IT IN. THe ONLY context they were allowed to be given is the SEXUAL CONTEXT that was per CMJA.

Ugh, this is just making me so mad. I thinK Juan needs to go back and interview ALL of Travis' friends, he needs to MAKE A LIST of every stalkerish thing Jodi did, and he needs to try to find a way to bring that stuff in. He need to SHOW that Jodi was not acting "normally" and that her dangerous behavior was growing and growing until finally what happened June 4.

Forgot to add to my last post...........
It wasn't the sex talk that got to the "old folks." They believed Jodi was emotionally and verbally abused by Travis. Juan has to get Chris and Sky Hughes on the stand to tell the jury that Travis having "issues" only meant he had a bad childhood. And that they told Jodi to run away from Travis because they were using reverse psychology on her, because they were trying to save Travis....not Jodi.

LOL! All the older people on here must be feeling weird right now. WE LOVE YOU!!! It's just these specific older people on this jury who were a little vulnerable, NOT YOU GUYS!!!!!!

I'm not saying that ALL older jurors woot have voted the same either. I just think that Juan to some degree needs to profile what the best jury would be best at getting a DP vote or hell a vote period. And IMO a younger jury member would be able to better out in context the text and communication between Travis and Jodi.

snipped from InALandFarFarAway~while simultaneously (and not "contemporaneously" as the pretentious CMja would incorrectly insert, lolol)

love love love this!!!! thank you!

I have two chipmunks that live in my backyard. They have destroyed my backyard in North Atlanta.

But I truly have become very fond of them and have named them Theodore and Alvin. I have come to enjoy sitting on the back porch watching then early in the day and then again at dusk.

I will worry about repairing my backyard when I put my house up for sale, until then I will continue to watch and enjoy them.

I remember them too, ATL.

:seeya: Morning Y'All !

Any "news" since last night's jurors' interviews on HLN ?

I'll be here til the end ...

:please: Justice for Travis !

I'm not going to get sucked into that either, as I have a hinky meter that says he's gonna walk.

Caryn Kelley was found not guilty today of Manslaughter (surprise)! That lady was a whack-a-doodle (he shot himself, no, I shot him, no it was a suicide). Don't know why I bothered.

The 2nd JA phase will end up hung, and the judge will give her LWP.

Yep, I'm being a pessimist, but can ya blame me! I don't even think a jury will convict Andrea Sniderman.

ALL MOO

Mel

WHAT???? I heard her 911 tape and her shenanigans outside the house captured on iphone....it looked to me like she was FAKING BEING DRUNK. I mean, that voice was so fake and her acting outside was so fake.

Nope, not to my knowledge. DId you find it strange that NO JURORS were on Nancy Grace?? I mean, they were on JVM, on DDRew, and on After Dark. HMMMMM....................

Phoebeb...here are my thoughts on this after mulling over this over the weekend:

The 4 for Life, and probably all of the jurors, think there is something not right with CMJA, as in not right in her head. Her interviews, her time on the stand, her behavior in court...all lead to the conclusion that there "just not something right with that GIRL."

But in the guilt phase and aggravation phase, they couldn't really think about that. I mean, obviously she committed the crime and she pre-meditated it. That is just the fact. And obviously the crime was extremely cruel...that is also a fact.

In the mitigation phase, they could think about it. And specifically the 4 though, this girl is almost crazy or just so out-of-it. How can we put this person to death, who doesn't even seem to realize the gravity of what she's done? I FIRMLY believe this is what was holding them back. And to back up their intuition, they made themselves believe that SOMETHING MUST have happened to her to make her this way. THey began to look for justifications to explain Jodi's PSYCHO - such as well, maybe somthing happened to her when she was a child.....maybe there is some truth to her child abuse stories. Maybe all her boyfriends used her, and that set her over the edge. I'm not saying this is rational thinking - I'm saying these people were willing to go out on a limb and believe things IN ORDER TO BACK-UP THEIR FEELING ABOUT HER GENERAL CRAZINESS.

And in the end, they coulnd't put a "crazy" person to death.

If she'd been able to control her rabid foaming at the mouth rage and stopped with one stab wound or one gunshot, then used her fako crying skills on a 9-1-1 call, she would probably be free right now.

She can ponder those "what ifs" as she stands on her head in her wonely wittle cell.

Still think the art work shown to the jurors by CMJA of portraits of Frank Sinatra, Elisabeth Taylor and Elvis Presley was no accident.

I agree. She basically admitted such on one of her many interviews she was hoping to strike a cord with each individual cord. Even down to each "philanthropy" she intended to take up.

Agreed.

It's weird, thinking back, now having a view of what the jurors look like, I can kind of see the defense trying to "work them." For example, CMJA putting on her "polite" and "poor little me" act (except few times when the REAL CMJA came out). Wilmott would smile at them very politely. Nurmi would always greet them with Good Morning or Good Afternoon and smile at them a lot. I can totally see it now.
